    That sick feeling she said she feels when doing bills is fear. I used to have that feeling. I actually just needed to buy fuel for heating my house and got that sick feeling again but went through my finances and realized I had more than enough. That sick feeling went away. Fear is abated when you take control of your finances I stead of your finances controlling you.

      **Edit** Gail says at the end it was already cooked into their debt repayment. Im thinking she locked it down on something.
      That pissed me off too. But I'm thinking that's why Gail gave them the full 5K she KNEW come hell or high water they were going to Paris - the wife did say on the ice that Paris is for a family thing so I'm guessing it's a pretty important event. If they're willing to shun their new lessons (not using credit and saving instead) and make that trip priority 1 over their fun trips (Mexico and Florida). At least that's what I'm thinking.

    • @Ali-fq3nz
      @Ali-fq3nz 2 дня назад

      I think that maybe the producers made her give them the 5k. I read somewhere that one of the reasons she stopped making these shows was because she was forced to give more money that she thought was fair- which defeats the object.

      I suspect it was partly for the emotional relief it would give this couple, and again, staging the home for resale will have to be done anyway - homes sell quicker and for a better price if properly staged for the buyers to view.

      @dancinggrace22MSU 2 года назад +11

      @@k.s.k.7721 Yeah. They would need to stage it anyway and other than their personal photos, the rest of what they did is helpful for selling. The blinds and closet rod and artwork on the walls will all make the place look better to buyers.

      My understanding was that they were going to pay off mortgage while the investors(parents) invested the down payment. They were to continue to live there until the work done but they weren't getting anything finished. I'm surprised Gail didn't make them do the unfinished projects to put their house on the market. I wonder what that house is worth now. The RE market went down in 2008 but since went steadily up. They should have bought the house themselves & rented basement. Stop doing things like eating/drinking out and stupid purchases (but I'm speaking from 20/20 hindsight... we all make mistakes lol)

      Please stop undervaluing teachers. The profession requires a bachelors and a master’s degree which many school districts don’t pay for. Next teaching 65-120 students everyday is not easy. Next administration tasks that require you to take work home. Essentially working 60-80 hours a week. So no teachers aren’t paid enough.
