Thats was the feeling I was getting doing this. Couldn’t help but feel it would have been more fun if I was taking screws off and putting them back on, Instead of dealing with glue, lol.
Thanks for the reply everything is Good except I bent a pin on the board figuring out what was what getting a magnifying glass hopefully can bend it back these umx are way harder than the old 1.3&5m zwayvto small wouldn't do it again either
Doing the same repair . Would you happen to have close up pics of the orientation of the internals, and do you use use rtv or .. for the mounting of servo/ esc combo i bought another 1lol just hate to cut it apart to take a pic love the plane . Thanks hope your still flying I'm trying to get back into it. So.. frustrating old dx6 no support from horizon anyway if you happen to have a picture It would be appreciated
@@brentellison3615 I flew it again and it broke again into several pieces. Honestly got good and putting it back together. I used glue to put everything back together. But to answer your questions, i don’t have any pictures. Once you open it, it’s fairly easy to see where everything goes. My advice is to verify your servos are as lined up as possible before glueing to level out your flight control surfaces.
What glue did you use. I am thinking epoxy, but I am not sure if it is foam safe. I hate to use CA, but not sure what the alternative would be. Silicone glue? Thanks.
The thing is that especially UMX planes are very de-fun to rebuild. Bigger planes are much more fun wrench on
