Langdon Tactical is impressive no matter what gun they’re slicking up. But I view Ernest Langdon as a Beretta smith. The 92 and Px4 Compact Carry models are expensive but so worth it.
I love my ARs, AKs and my Galil Ace, but when it comes down to the brass tax I'm a shotgun man. The first long gun I purchased legally when I was 18 was a 870 12 gauge. Right now my favorite in my collection is my Benelli m3 super 90 combat. With that said, I've always loved Beretta since I saw Die Hard as a kid and saw that old 92, but I've yet to have one of their shotguns in my collection, so I think that logically this one should be the first Beretta shotgun in my collection. I've heard great things about the 1301 and this year I'm gonna bite the bullet (no pun intended) and pick one of these up. Thank you for the video James, and keep up the good work. You have my dream job sir
LTT 92fs trigger bar still the best aftermarket part I've ever bought. Not sure I ever had any complaints about the stock 1301 trigger though. I think it's nice stock. It's a shotgun after all.
Interesting fact, the latest Beretta 1301 Tactical LE version does not have interchangeable chokes. Pretty heavy walled barrel though and it is chrome lined.
That’s the one I got and it still has a pretty tight pattern shooting 00 Buck. Just shot it for the first time the other day and love it but I just ordered a limb saver cause it was beating my shoulder pretty good especially with Hornady Critical defense 00 buck @ 1600 fps.
@@ChrisWilliams-vm1do I know that, it's not my 1st rodeo. My point was the LE/Military variant is a fixed cylinder bore, the regular 1301 Tactical available to the public has removable chokes.
Ya did good on the trigger question in this one....real good, I'm writing someone a letter about how well you're improving.....i feel like a mother watching her son blossom into a young man......ps, I absolutely love my 1301, changed out the stock and added the ext tube....still waiting for the magpul rail to come in stock, awesome product
I bypassed LTT but did basically all the upgrades between GG&G, Aridus, and the Briley handguard. Personally, my favorite upgrade is GG&G's optic rail mount with the half ghost ring for the Holosun HE509T. Unless you're flush with cash and don't mind the extra weight of the Briley, I would pass on the Zhukov handguard and just stick with the OEM. Since the gen 3's barrel clamp can take an MLOK attachment, put your flashlight (I dig the Surefire Mini Scout) on the same side as your support hand and call it a day. For the side saddle, I actually like the less expensive, more securely attached, and lower-profile GG&G over Aridus' taped on detachable option....but it's a close call.
I love shotguns and I have a few including NEW 2024 Beretta 1301 Tactical (Type 2) which is by far the best shotgun on market and I would say the best shotgun ever made. First I installed Magpul stock and Tricon MRO optic. New Beretta forend is beautiful and I would never change it. Trigger on my 1301 is perfect and I wouldn’t touch it except when I shot.
That's actually a decent price. A stock 1301 is around 1700 I think? Taran Butler takes a 550 dollar G34 and stipples it puts a trigger in it and charges 4000.
James, go to Mean Arms and make them give you a release date and price for the bearing delays 9mm. They've been teasing it for a few years now, and the people need to know.
Have you come up with a better solution for a barrel clamp than the factory or GG&G one? The Nordic one has everything I’m looking for, but doesn’t fit the Gen “3”.
Don't worry, this is just for the Instagram tactical crowd. AND the gun bunnies. Because nobody with real trigger time is going to buy this hot mess for 2200.00
Lol. Ernest wincing a little bit everytime James says 'Ernie'. He worked HARD to ditch that moniker about 8 years ago, and he knows it'll be back with a vengeance now.
I got this latest run of ltt 1301's a couple days ago and compared it to my dads stock 1301. The trigger job honestly is so subtle its hard to notice the difference while shooting.
A great video and a great very nice rifle. It is not a 40W range shotgun yet is it? Can you fancy Kevin Costner in the Highwaymen using this 1301Tactical Beretta instead of the Browning A5 in the final showdown? Have a good one.
Jeff Cooper is gone, and Clint Smith is 114 years old. Who replaces them? Who has the potential to step into their shoes? I know who COULD/SHOULD do it: Ernest Langdon. Whether he will or not, is another story.....
I just don't care for the furniture choice. It's a build off what was available 2 years ago, not what's available now. I would rather have the Briley handguard with an Urbino pistol gripped stock than the Magpul accessories. The 1301 didn't have much love when it became popular. It has a lot of love now. Langdon is the "cutting edge elite series" over standard Beretta products and though that rings (nearly) completely true for Beretta 92s, this ain't it for the 1301. I get you could buy these parts aftermarket. Sure. Why would I want to be stuck with $330 of Magpul furniture I will never put back on and virtually noone with the ability to google "1301 handguards and stocks" will ever care to even buy them? I'd rather the shotgun cost $2300 than be stuck with random crap I have no use for and cannot sell and virtually wasted money on.
@@fearlessleader8623 got that right. My brother just got an m4 but it doesn't have the telescoping stock. He did some research and found inside the fixed stock is the same rod the telescoping one uses so he just needs the actual stock. The benelli telescoping stock is $600.
