Fabulous content & banter. Two of my favorite people talking! I am one to be fortunate to own and run a 1301 LTT version. The A300 is no slouch and would be in my safe had it come around sooner. Thanks for sharing your visit. Looking forward to what the LTT version evolves into.
The A300 is 66.66% of the cost of the 1301..the question isn't "Is the 1301 better?"..the question is "Is the 1301 33.33% better?" Obviously, the A300 is a better value.
Have the 1301. Love it. Have an M2 that has been nothing but trouble for years. Been to the smithies about 10 times. Nobody can fix it (FFFF = failure to feed final fire). 1301 is FAST, reliable, smooth, less felt recoil than my M2. LOVE IT.
Funny how a year later, the A300 has proven itself with just about any shell out there and then some…I think Ernest saw, at the time this video was made at least, that he didn’t have much room to make a buck like he does with the 1301 so he put it down very subtly….
Beretta probably would have been better off pricing the 1301 closer to $1800. At current prices I feel like the vast majority will go for the A300UP (as I did). The advertised 30% faster cycling and self cleaning system isn't worth the extra $500-600 to most of us. We will never outshoot the A300 and it's reliable enough for most people to clean it once or twice a year 🤷♂️. I just feel like Beretta is competing with itself rather than having the 1301 compete with the M4 and the A300 with the Mossberg 940
I really appreciate the way you look at the price point for the guns you bring to market. "...we've got a valued shotgun that is a good price point, ...if we start throwing a bunch of stuff at it...just buy a 1301..." You've build guns that have everything one needs and not a bunch of crap you don't. The three pistols you have built for me, all on point to what the shooter needs and while cool they don't fall into the trap of "Tacta-cool expensive crap". Thanks for what you do.
I bought the 1301 after watching your review. Added the shotgun cards, sling, light and optics. I figured if i was putting my life on a gun, i wasnt looking for a bargain.
NOW do the Stoeger M3000 next to the A300. The replica made and owned by a Beretta subsidiary. Do i need the A300? Or can i save and make the Stoeger better...
I was under the impression they already did? However, it is correct that not much is needed. Trigger pull could be shorted a tad, reset is good. I would like less slack/take up however.
At 4:15 the Beretta PM says the Gas Systems are indentical between the A300 and the 1301 and yet at 12:15 Mr Langdon says a main reason the 1301 is more versatile than the A300 is the upgraded/new/modern gas system on the 1301.Can someone help me understand this better?
Ernest misspoke and meant to say operating system, not gas system. It is the operating system he was talking about. The A300 uses a single lug block for a locking system while the 1301 has a rotating bolt. The other big difference is the barrel. The barrel in the 1301 is more advanced and will deliver more constant patterns.
Got a question on 1301 tactical M2 Gen 3, what is the lightest load of 12ga shell it'll cycle? Will it cycle 1200 fps or stick to 1300 fps and up.....??? Thanks!
Would like to see how the 1301 a300 and 940 compare when they are dirty with a little real dirt. Not the stupid test of putting a shovel of mud on the action but dirt or sand that would realistically be encountered. In freezing conditions also.
my LTT didn't cycle Federal FliteControl 1145 fps low recoil, could be the cerakote though, just have 30 rounds through it so far, but I did see videos where it cycled that exact load just fine so just keep that in mind, because that was a huge selling point for me and at least as of now I gotta stick with full power buck which messes a bit with my shoulder( had surgery 2019)
Your gun should cycle FliteControl 100% without any issues. If it is not, you should contact our customer service team. In fact, it should cycle most standard bird shot loads as well.
I really hope you guys bring out a LTT A300. I would be on that buyers list. Been just waiting not to spend my money on an A300 when I hope you guys bring your version. Best wishes
There is quite a bit of difference between the overall length of different shells. One thing you can do is take the magazine tube apart, remove the plastic spring retainer at the end of the tube, and then reinstall the spring with just the tube cover. That will give you close to 1/2" more in the tube.
@LangdonTactical I can get 7 in the tube. When shooting it will load 6 shells 7th gets stuck n doesn't make it in chamber to shoot. Sorry didn't explain myself good enough
Owning an A300, even after the Mod 2, I really cannot wrap my head around the price difference. My A300 was $1050. The Mod 2 is $1800. “If you can afford it, just buy the 1301” Well, if you can afford the 1301, why don’t you just buy an M4? Or, you can just not pretend you’re a high speed John Wick operator and buy the reasonably priced A300 that withstood TFB’s 500rd burn down and the Thunder Ranch 2 day combat shotgun course just as well as the 1301 for 2/3rds the price
No one mentions that the a300 is 7+1 and can be ghost loaded for a total of 9 with 2. 3/4” shells, where as the 1301 is 6+1 and cannot be ghost loaded. You can buy the + 2 tube extension for the 1301 though
We get them in once or twice a month, and the sell out quickly. Sign up to be notified on the website, and you will get an email when they are back in stock. That is the best way, for sure.
I'm guessing, since they're filming, it's probably on a day the business is not open to the public,. Therefore nobody else would be there? Just guessing.
That’s obviously an intentional move and part of his macho swagger persona, just like his tiny shorts and colorful and humorous language. It’s a large reason he’s so popular. I’m sure he moved the car right after they filmed the intro.
I’ve messed with two 1301’s now that had an issue with the lifter sticking. A slight nudge to one side and it’s locked into place rendering the gun inoperable. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks...but I'll stick with a Remington 870 pump...it's just a far simpler design with fewer moving parts. Yes there's more recoil from a pump, but it's not a precision firearm that you're shooting for groups at 100 yards and beyond. I can buy 2 or 3 Rem 870s for the cost of one A300...the infinite array of aftermarket accessories for an 870 plus the readily available/cheap replacement parts means I can modify and/or repair the gun easily myself...not so much with the Berettas. I have a Rem 1100 that's a softer shooting gas operated shotgun...if I was taking a class that required a high round count I'd use that one...but if I can only have one it's still going to be the 870.
@@chuckburns3633 Congratulations. I'm really proud of you. If you buy a third one, please let me know what you're gonna do with it. I really want to know.

Probably gonna sell the a300 to my ffl so im not gonna shoot it. Also have the 940 pro w red dot. To me the 940 feels better than the a300. Pretty sure the 1301 gonna be my baby tho.
WHY would I be shooting birdshot out of a tactical/3-Gun Shotgun? This sure sounds like Beretta is having trouble selling the 1301 and trying hard to convince people to pay the extra money. And the price difference as of August 2024 is 70% difference.
Doesn't' sound like the 1301 is $900 dollars better in function. Is the LTT 1301 one cooler? Yes. My biggest complaint is folks using a square ACROS optic on the well rounded lines of a shotgun. The Micro T or H just look better.
I’d love to see beretta stop being Fing tards and ship the shotgun ready to go. Instead you have to get the freaking LTT to make it an actual fighting shotgun.
If they did that you would be bitching that it cost too much and that you, and nobody else, needed a buttstock with better ergonomics, adjustable length and cheek piece height, a red dot optic and a smoothed up trigger.
Sadly, there are rules regarding shotgun capacity for imported shotguns. Beretta may start building them in the US and that won't be an issue. Benelli has to restrict their civilian M4 shotguns for the same reason. If you increase capacity there could be issues regarding how many US parts are in the shotgun. I think most people ignore that when they add a magazine extension but it could become a legal issue. I ain't a lawyer so check it out yourself. Look up 922r as a starting point.

Not being a good role model. Don’t you want to set the right example? There are plenty of laws we don’t agree with but, that is one law we can all agree with. Same as don’t pass a stopped school bus with the stop arm out. Not cool.
OK, he did not stay in that parting spot. Those are just the ones out front and did it for the video only. I can assure you that no handicapped person or disabled veteran (the shop has several of them) lost a parking spot. It was just for effect for the video.
@@LangdonTactical the fact that you have disabled veterans on the payroll and he did that and worse, you are okay with it, is troubling. He may have thought it was “cool”, it was not. I suppose he drove 120mph on the way to shoot the video? Did he shoplift just for the video but it was cool. Cool people set the proper example. To be respected by people, do the right thing. How many times have you seen the police going 100mph without lights? Did you respect that? Of course not because if he caught you, you would lose your license. No one is perfect but, if you want to be respected and be a positive role model, you do the right thing, especially for the video. That way kids see someone to respected, because he is respecting others, doing the right thing. Never and I mean never parking in a handicapped spot.
Do you know how I often I catch people parking in handicapped spots who aren’t?
@@michaelsurratt9593 Point taken sir. We are sorry for offending you and others. I can assure you that no one at the shop was offended. Those spots are open every day of the week, as no one in our shop needs them or chooses to use them. No one was prevented from parking where they needed to park. It may help you to know that our shop is not open to the public for walk in traffic.
All that said, you are heard and your point is taken.
CLEARLY satire. Let's not emulate cancel culture.
