I just commented on "For Riel's" channel about the last temple - wow, those stairs - at 55, my legs were burning all the way up...and for two days after - lol! Just fantastic there. Great post guys!
Thanks, appreciate it a lot! I can imagine that, a lot of people initially underestimate this temple.. When I was going back down I was unlucky enough to be chased by a wasp halfway on the staircase, wrong timing! 😂 It didn't sting luckily enough and lucky me haha

Can't imagine if you could live way back along the King and Queen. I had a chance to visit this historical with my family way back in late 60s. The town was very quiet and peaceful with a few tourists and hotels so we had to stay at the Budhist temple around the area. Only memory lives on. There were mostly dirt roads around town and most of the temple complex remained wild and natural with many forest in the surroundings . Most of my family members did not survive the genocide under Pol Pot killing machine. Be mindful. Be kind whenever possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Happy and safe travels from a genocide survivor ✌️
Hard to imagine indeed. Such a different period, a lot has changed, it is almost unreal.
Thank you for sharing your story, it must have been an incredible experience wandering around Angkor when it was not as touristy and overgrown by nature compared to today.
I mourn for your family and you have my eternal respect, I wish you the strength and health you deserve to continue and carry and cherish the memory of those you have lost.

Cambodia ancient temples are truly splendid and wonderous human creation heavenly on earth for the Gods to protect humanity here as beautiful as heaven..... many more Cambodia ancient temples in Thailand or Siam, Laos and Vietnam too where Cambodia Khmers empires was there back then too

Pretty much yeah, the problem is the lack of a breeze. So at times it feels like a humid desert. The sun + UV will straight up melt you like a Snickers. Better come prepared! 😉
