CAN THO, VIETNAM: While waiting to check in, our homestay host recommended a restaurant called Cần Thơ Farm, which has a farm-to-table concept. We visited the large area at the back of the restaurant filled with vegetables, fruits, herbs, and even animals!
There, we were introduced to another famous Vietnamese dish: Bánh xèo, a crispy yellow turmeric pancake filled with shrimp, pork, and a variety of vegetables. Simple, savoury, and nutritious, you can't miss this while visiting Cần Thơ!
Cheers

Pancake looks tasty!!Ploy's paradise 🤣🤣!
That's great!❤
Thank you 🙏
Food looks good! Editing is on point! That mystery leaf might be a perilla leaf…not sure.
The mystery leaf remains a mystery but it sure was a nice leaf!
Glad to hear that! VN is absolutely stunning, in the two months we've been there we were barely able to scratch the surface. There is too much to see, hopefully you can go back soon 😊
I'm guessing you traveled from south to north?
@TristanNguyen-j4p Yes, we did! Incredibly long stretches of land. Travel time is long, sometimes it might be better to fly if you lack time but we enjoyed traveling over land with the sleeper busses 😉
I'm happy we're getting to the Vietnam videos! I've been to VN once but would love to go back!
Your name is Vietnamese, right? It’s like the most common surname in Vietnam.
Having a Vietnamese name doesn’t automatically mean he lives in Vietnam. Little guy probably has links to Vietnam but is living abroad. Also, that pancake looked good!
Hello, may I know your GF nationality?
Hello, Half Thai-Belgian
Nice introduction to Vietnam 👌 When are you starting a food channel?😊😊
Thank you! Designated cooking channel will have to wait a bit, we'll have to start eating a lot more for that 😉
I had faux pho in a mall once. Tasted like dishwater. The real thing is flavourful?
Well the real deal is obviously a lot better. Though each and every restaurant/family has their own way and the taste varies. What we like most is that it is up to you to give taste to the soup by adding your own sweet, sour and spicy + herbs. You are in control of your own dishwater.
@@sheepandshepherds hahahh ! Yeah I had it in a cafe that wasn’t even specialising in Asian cuisine. By the way, Vietnam as cheap as Thailand for food?
@@Looknobook Food in Vietnam is almost free compared to the West. Local food in Thailand is also very cheap but depending on North/South prices can vary a lot. Let's say Vietnam is around 30-40% cheaper.
@@sheepandshepherds Cheaper than Thailand is crazy! Makes you wonder why the rest
…of the world is expensive
Eindelijk terug van weggeweest! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the rest of Vietnam!! 👍👍👍
Thank you! More to come hopefully sooner this time
👍✌️
Just getting around to editing and getting this uploaded?!?! Looking forward to more Vietnam! Good job!
And much more Vietnam is on the way! We still can't believe how much there is to see in this amazing country. Wish we could speed up the editing process but don't feel like compromising on quality 😉
That a giant bhuda carved out of marble mountain?
It’s an 81 meter high Buddha statue . They started the project back in 2015. The amount of work they put into it is crazy. I looked it up and it’s expected to be finished in 2025. So we’re very curious about the final result 😄
@@sheepandshepherds WoW that’s mad! I didn’t think it was that high!

Heheh
We are still dreaming of that cơm tấm. We would do anything to eat that specific dish again 😅
Great to see you guys back again in a new country! I've been thoroughly enjoying following you around SEA. Very inspiring and informative with a great attitude and charming style. I can imagine how much effort it takes to film and edit these uploads so a big thank you for that. Looking forward to your next VN vlog!
Wow! Thank you so much! You are the first one to give us a super thanks on this channel. We appreciate that a lot, it is nice to hear such kind words and most definitely gives us the motivation to continue. Loads and loads of content coming, just trying to find the time to edit it all 😊 Stay tuned and thanks again, Andrew!
What's your favourite Vietnamese dish? 🍲😊
I like the rice paper spring rolls
I heard the eyes were closed because of inner peace.
You are right, I remember reading something similar during our research 😉
You suck 😢😢😢😢😢.....
I started crying when you mentioned about killing fields. It's hard to get over the past when I went through that I have goose bumps. Thanks guys for sharing. Take care and God bless you.
(Sorry for the late reply).. Thank you for sharing your story and we understand your pain, it is something we can not forget. Cambodia is a wonderful country with wonderful people and we are proud to show that to our viewers in a time of hope 🙏🙏🇰🇭
Great Video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you 🙏
How do you rent the tent and how much was it?
We booked the tent on arrival at the entry where you will also need to register all the guests. We paid ฿120 to enter the National Park, ฿20 to enter with our motorcycle and ฿300 to rent the tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow etc :) If you have any more questions, we will gladly answer those!
Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers! 🎉🎉🎉 Looking forward to more vids!
Thank you! It means the world to us, a big milestone. More videos and milestones are sure to come, we appreciate you following us on our journey 🙏
So fun to see you guys in Kampot! Loved it!
Happy you liked the video 😊
Very nice place to spend some time 👍👍! Enjoyed your video's!
Thank you, it is a very relaxed place!
The fish market now is converted into a Starbuck now, this video was probably recorded quite some time ago. Appreciate if you put the date of the recording as to not confuse the viewers, really enjoyed the video of Cambodia though.
Thank you for sharing this, sad to see the market go. The video is indeed from some time ago, we will have to add a date 😉
Looks like a chill place
And it surely is. We ended up staying longer because it was so nice there! 😊
Would you like to visit Kampot? Tell us why ☺️
Thanks for posting. My second choice for retirement, after Siem Reap .
Both are great choices! Kampot is more on the quiet side, the atmosphere is very relaxed. It's going to develop more in the future but is ideally situated. Good luck on your retirement!, 👍
Love all your videos, so genuine. Looking forward to SE Asia next Feb
Thank you, you are the reason we will keep making our videos in this format. Safe travels and enjoy this great corner of the world to the fullest, Christopher!
Cambodia - many great things about it! The only thing I couldn't stand was the arrogance of Cambodian people with their English chauvinism, they will approach you and immediately speak English, not even polite enough to ask if you know English yes or no. No humility at all!
Wat Samrong Knong, I was there back in 2015. One of my friend’s father was executed there. Battambang, I was born and raised there when the KR took over. The Khmer people are resilient, mentally strong and Buddhism will guide us forward. I lost 3 people in my family. Thanks for visiting our beloved country.
It is our pleasure to visit your country and show the beauty and history to the world. My condolences to your family members, we made little prayer upon our visit and I will also pray for them tonight. I admire the courage and resilience of the Cambodian people. Thank you 🙏
Phnom Penh has some French Colonial style buildings, but if you want to see the real "Paris of the East" you should try Hanoi ;)
We have been there (video will be uploaded in a few weeks) and you are ABSOLUTELY right! Hanoi is gorgeous, too much to see and too little time to see all of it 😊
I like Kep...
It is a lovely place 😉
Hello from Phnom Penh! Great Channel!! :)
Hello! Thank you, we enjoyed our stay in Phnom Penh a lot 👍🙏
"Reap" does NOT mean "defeat" but it implies defeat. "Reap" means "flat" or to "to flatten". Siem Reap literally means "to flatten Siam."
🙏 Thank you for the information, appreciate it!
Good! 24 hrs and know Battanbang? Or? Battanbong? Sorry you need to make cash? This is for your family album. Not for general public. Try shampoo and a razor? 🤔
Once Indochine. French colonie.
Indeed! Clearly visible throughout the city
Hi. Can you tell me where is the best Siem Reap BBQ street food located? Thx
All over the historic town you can find random street stalls. Most of them are situated next to the water, you'll have to do some walking and spot the good ones out yourself. Follow the smell of smoke and enjoy! 😉
@@sheepandshepherds Thanks
@seans7228 most welcome 😉
Great video with nice view👍
Thank you, the view was amazing! Watching how the fishermen brought in fresh crab, it can't be any better! 😉
Welcome to Cambodia At seim Reap AngkorWat support you ❤

Very nice compliment of you, thanks. Many more videos to come 😉
Thanks for your visited Cambodia hop you enjoyed it
We loved it, can't wait to come back to Cambodia and discover more 😊
The conversion from Hinduism to Buddhism so people abandoned city of Angkor and moved to new places
Interesting fact, thank you for sharing!
Everywhere you go the crab is expensive thanks for understanding. Thanks for visiting Cambodia love from California
Crab is always expensive but very tasty. Especially the crab is Kep was one of the best ones we ever had in our life 😍
Always check your can after opening it you can also win beer prizes brand new truck and so on
In the beginning we didn't know. Only after a couple days, the most I won was 3 cans, what about you?
Help, if i was there, I would think that abandoned school is haunted💀Especially with the small statues near the termite mount-
It had a very strange atmosphere, luckily everything was fine. The termite nest was the biggest one we ever saw!
Thailand left many place with Saim. style.
Battambang isn’t unknown. It’s well known in Khmer. Well, if your reference is to tourists, then maybe it’s unknown.
Hi there, thanks for your comment! You're totally right. We were highlighting Battambang from a tourist's perspective because we noticed it often gets skipped on itineraries. We had a fantastic time exploring the city, driving around with a motorcycle, and we think other tourists would too! :)
Keep up the good work, great video.
You're welcome! We appreciate your comment. We'll work hard to make the best videos to showcase the beauty and atmosphere of each place we visit ☺️
Thank you for visiting Battambang. My cousin's house is right around the corner from Phnom Ek. Four months ago, I was there as well. I would like to live in Cambodia when I retire. Cambodia will be much cheaper than Texas. Retirement is still a long way off for me.
We really hope you achieve your dream of retiring in Cambodia someday. Cambodia will be waiting with open arms to welcome you back whenever you decide to retire, no matter how long it takes 🤍
