    Finally, we get the chance to visit the famous Chinese village of Baan Rak Tai!
    After a difficult climb up into the mountains of Northern Thailand bordering Myanmar, we discover a small paradise full of Yunnan (Chinese) food and high-quality locally-grown tea, unlike anything we've seen in Thailand before.
    We combine our trip to Baan Rak Tai with a one-night camping trip to Pang Oung Lake, waking up early to see the fog on the lake all we saw were people staring at us in our tents...
    Still, a great and peaceful experience surrounded by nature, enjoy this adventure with us!

    Thanks for all the support 🙏😉

      Reminded us a bit of Europe actually, the colder climate explains why all vegetation looked different.

    How do you rent the tent and how much was it?

    • @sheepandshepherds
      @sheepandshepherds  3 месяца назад

      We booked the tent on arrival at the entry where you will also need to register all the guests. We paid ฿120 to enter the National Park, ฿20 to enter with our motorcycle and ฿300 to rent the tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow etc :) If you have any more questions, we will gladly answer those!

    Is Myanmar safe to travel too as of now for a tourist? Even though there is a civil war going with the Z Generation rebels fight the Myanmar military de coup.

    • @sheepandshepherds
      @sheepandshepherds  Год назад

      Entering Myanmar as a tourist is near impossible and not the smartest thing to do. Current situation is unadvisable to travel there. Pray for better days because,which will come as Myanmar and it's people are beautiful. It is a cultural and historical Shangri-la. Thanks for watching 👍

      Empty hut used to be the last border post between Thailand and Myanmar. Famous place for people wanting to take a peek into Myanmar, but it is now destroyed as you can see in the video 😉

    The Ban Rak Thai area is adjacent to the area of influence of the Karen forces. That is to say, it is an illegal area that the Burmese authorities cannot control. With permission from the Karenni military We can cross the border without a passport at all. So don't be afraid of Burmese soldiers. But at this time it is still not recommended.

      @@sheepandshepherds Sorry that I gave you wrong information.🙏 I'm a bit confused❓️😅 because the area lies at the border between Shan State(Tai Army Control Area) and Kayah State(Karenni Army Control Area). The area opposite Baan Rak Thai is in the area of influence of the Tai forces, who are the same ethnic group as the Thai people. Another place that I would like to recommend is the Tai military base at Doi Tai lang, opposite Ban Pang Kham, Pang Mapha District. You can be assured that you will have a new experience without any danger if you are not confident. You can search for information first. Have a nice trip.🙏😊
