      The B boys didn't play Lollapalooza til 1994 (4th one) :) just saying..... I was at 1-3, and I don't remember much, but I'm sure they didn't play until after "Ill Communication" came out, and that was the spring of 1994.
      Memories mix together for me as time goes by, so I'm not trying to embarrass you, however, the main stage at L2 (1992): Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush.........

    Looking back, it’s so funny to think my parents actually let me buy “Licensed to ill” with my first communion money in 1986. First tape I ever bought and it never left deck A in the box and it’s never left my regular rotation of “must listen to’s” at least a couple times a year. Just turned 40, so I’m gonna go ahead and say yeah! that album is timeless and so are the Beastie Boys.

      Sounds ridiculous I know but MCA is still a boomer

    • @GregoryGioia
      @GregoryGioia 3 года назад +8

      @@melissapaschl8397 If you go by the strict, dictionary definition he is, but in more practical terms most people born in the mid-to-late-1960s have little in common with what we think of as a Baby Boomer, and tend to relate with Gen-X. It’s much the same as the recently-introduced concept of an Xennial-- an in-betweener.
      If I was forced to group people by birth, I’ve observed that the children of 1946-59 fit the Boomer profile, and 1965-1975 fit with Gen-X. 1960-64 are the wildcards, and some lived a Boomer lifestyle, others a Gen-X lifestyle. Same goes for 1976-80- many grew up Gen-X, others share more in common with the Millennials.
      Bottom line- you are 100% correct, but I think in spirit and attitude, MCA was the quintessential Gen-X’er.
