I've never seen so many stars in one place to work on a project like this. Much Respect. Orlando Bloom's character steals the show on those few seconds hahah
100% dope AF! Rogen, Wood, McBride, Danson, Sarandon, the Beastie Boys themselves and a plethora of other stars in often subtle cameos help make this MCA joint an epoch-making and eternal classic that hits on so many salient points its incredible. Absolutely amazing!
MCA’s swan song. Epic. My heart dropped when I see him coming out the back of that cop car. I swear it never hit me before, I saw this vid when it came out years ago, and didn’t notice how frail he was. The world will miss his creative genius
When I was a kid, my dad found this completely randomly on the TV on Spike Channel back when that still existed and he fell in love with it. He would watch it every day for the next few months and would not let anyone touch the VCR out of fear of someone erasing it. Every voice I grew up with as a kid, every actor from movies and TV shows I watched as a kid are in this video whether I know them or not. He then showed it to me and me being a very young child had no idea what the fuck was going on. To this day this is still the most “what the fuck” video of my childhood and it has been forever engrained in my brain as the “Beastie Boys pee video”
I saw this as a teen with no knowledge of the Beastie Boys and was confused and amused. Now I realize it’s a love letter from the Boys themselves (particularly MCA), which makes me appreciate it more. I gotta learn their discography to get all the references.
Please don’t ever take this down! When I get sad and think of Adam I can always go back and watch this and remember how much of a genius he was! Thank you beastie boys for growing up with me!
A cool piece of trivia, Orlando Bloom cleaning the car windshield is Johnny Ryall. Mike mentioned in the Paul's Boutique audio commentary how he gave him a satin Def Jam jacket, and the shirt and boots refers to his 'rockabilly past of which nobody knows.'
This is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen. Today I watched this for the first time and I can tell you I will never see something this amazing again. MCA is missed so much because the beastie boys are part of all our pasts and futures. Hats off to Elijah Seth and Danny for their shadow rapping expertise. Laura Dern I love your wink!! The goats. Rappers who produce their own music/beats, direct and write their own videos, play instrumentals, and perhaps most overlooked is their keen sense of humor. So damn funny. Their interviews where they don’t play it straight and just say crazy funny lies and inside jokes. So much fun I had on the beastie boys ride. I remember getting a blank tape from my friend in jr high with 1 song on it…….. cookiepuss.. I was hooked.. when license to I’ll came out we knew every line and we would trade off verses like the boys. We always skipped fight for your right to party.. even in jr high we knew it was the worst song on the album .
I never skipped it. It was our anthem. I was a sophomore in high school and it is still one of the best concerts I've ever been to and one of the best nights of my life. I sometimes can't believe how intimate the entire experience was. They played at a tiny venue inside the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds. As I'm typing this I am wondering how and who booked that! It was all g.a. and standing room only. My best friends and I made our way to the front and we were literally three feet from the stage and we didn't move the entire time they were on stage. And the during the 2 opening bands-Da Lynch Mob and Henry Rollins. I remember my two guy friends, Ron and Kirk, got invited backstage to go and skateboard with them. All us girls were so jealous and just stood behind a makeshift fence and watched them Skateboard from afar and smoke tons of blunts. It was backstage but you could just barely see the skate ramps they built right by the stage.
I’m 18 as of now, but grew up listening to whatever CDs my dad had which included lots of punk rock and hip hop, also everything beastie boys!! This was on his old iPod touch and was one of the first music videos I ever watched…. Come to find out it’s a one of a kind and nothing these days will ever compare…no way. Wish I could have been around for this era. Much love

Absolutely. In Minute 23:56 you can see MCAs name on his chest. Also Pauls Boutique in the background. Fantastic video, fantastic Beastie Boys. Rip MCA
right?! fok
Check again, the people to step out of the DeLorean are Jack Black, Will Ferrell and John C Reilly😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
12yrs 😂
I've never seen so many stars in one place to work on a project like this. Much Respect. Orlando Bloom's character steals the show on those few seconds hahah
Mad respect to the Beastie Boys, u guys were my childhood, RIP MCA!! my fave group ever
This music video better than 90% of new music/movies
better than all new music/movies
Shot on Super 16mm film
100% dope AF! Rogen, Wood, McBride, Danson, Sarandon, the Beastie Boys themselves and a plethora of other stars in often subtle cameos help make this MCA joint an epoch-making and eternal classic that hits on so many salient points its incredible. Absolutely amazing!
MCA’s swan song. Epic. My heart dropped when I see him coming out the back of that cop car. I swear it never hit me before, I saw this vid when it came out years ago, and didn’t notice how frail he was. The world will miss his creative genius
OMG. Only discovered now. How & why this was in my newsfeed is a mysterious blessing of the Algorithmic Gods. My soul-brain Thanks you!
One of the best BBoy's video ever. RIP MCA!!!
they were literally partying for 25 years
yeah and the parents were gone for 25 years and mca came back from the dead
This was created before MCA died...
Chris Manigan and he was one of the cops
They fought for that right.
suppose they listened to Ray Davies early in life :)
Legendary!!
Written, directed, and produced by MCA...🥂
23:15 uh-oh...
it's the 👮👮👮cops🚓🚨...😉BB
21:40 ...shit gets real 😂😂😂
Never would have thought I’d see you comment on a Beastie boys video!!! Keep the LAVA flowing!!!! HAIL TREY, THE ANCIENT ONES... I AM I WILL I CREATE!
God, as a huge film guy and a casual Beasties fan, this shit will always be amazing.
mmmmm
I read a shit ton of comments and didn’t see any thing but love and appreciation. What an awesome tribute.
6:20 - can you recognize the cab passenger? It's Sir Stewart Wallace from Sabotage.
11 years later and this is still fkn DOPE!
The cast is a perfect fit for everything 100%respect
What an essemble of great actors comin together bowing down to such a great band, max respect
I saw this as a teen with no knowledge of the Beastie Boys and was confused and amused. Now I realize it’s a love letter from the Boys themselves (particularly MCA), which makes me appreciate it more. I gotta learn their discography to get all the references.
Life time fan. This was one of the best albums they put out. Classic!!!
Please don’t ever take this down! When I get sad and think of Adam I can always go back and watch this and remember how much of a genius he was! Thank you beastie boys for growing up with me!
You are Beastie Boys 💥 Cool boys 🤘 Listen !
Anyone watching this thinking “17 more years?”
This is genius. The greatest long-form music video of all time.
This was art ten years ago...
...and it still is, nothing lesser 👏
I don't think anything remotely this close to art or intelligent humor even exists anymore. Artists and Hollywood all suck now.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life.............PERIOD
So proud of my wife for working on this.
Thought i was the only one who noticed that
This is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen. Today I watched this for the first time and I can tell you I will never see something this amazing again. MCA is missed so much because the beastie boys are part of all our pasts and futures. Hats off to Elijah Seth and Danny for their shadow rapping expertise. Laura Dern I love your wink!! We love you Beasties!!!
Will Ferrel, John C. Reilly, and Jack Black. Could not get any better.
Except for adding Seth Rogen, Elijiah Wood and (Mostly) Danny McBride, and the rest of the cast, of course.
I meant for the specific roles they played. Next time, don't be so condescending.
Lol. I wasn't. I just loved them all, and was joining in on the celebration. No offense meant.
My apologies. I'm used to people being dicks just because they can.
No worries. Most of the time, unfortunately, it is that way.
Love this flick and will watch over and over forever. 2024 B Boys for life.
I will wait that 25 years and love it in 25 years.
21 more years...
We really are waiting...
+Josh Vergara you'll be waiting a long time. Seeing as MCA is dead an'all.
Nathaniel Hornblower They'll make it work
+Propanium It's probably recorded and sitting inside that delorean
+Propanium They know how to keep the party going on
John C. Reilly as Seth Rogen's future makes so much sense.
Or Jack Black/Danny McBride
You had to be a kid when MTV was new, to truly get this.
@@jetblackrecords5540 Awe, yes... MTV I can remember it so vividly and by MTV I mean the good old MTV Waaaay back when you didn't need to have Cable, when VHS cassettes were actually IN...
@@jetblackrecords5540 Every time I watch this I find a new reference to one of their old videos.
@@joshandmoniquesqueeksmith2422 Ummmm....yeah...I’m going to go ahead and correct your assertion that a cable connect was at any point ever not needed to receive MTV. That’s just patently untrue...
Please don’t forget to tip your bartender and waitresses on your way out that exclusive door installed specifically for people that are flat out wrong...
20:22. As an Australian this bit now feels different.
Much love
Mind-Blown! I just witnesses a masterpiece. Beastie Boys forever!!!!
B-Boys was my first concert, I was 14.
My 9 yo son thinks this is the most hilarious thing he's ever seen!! Heartfelt thanx.
Just saw Steve Buscemi talking about this video on Colbert, holy hell how did I miss this, this is the greatest collaboration
Cameo heaven.
I know! I never saw this before. I can't believe it. I was lucky to see them on the check your head and Ill communication tours here in Cleveland in my early 20's. L7 opened for one of them bad brains was supposed to on the other but didn't play. R.I.P Adam.... Thanks for all you did for us punks, rappers, and just plain music fans...❤️
And as a waiter, no less. (See also: Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.)
@@mikedow5300 H.R. was being difficult and refusing to come off the bus to start the show. The other bad brains confronted him and a fight happened .H.R. attacked their road manager and another band member. Police arrived and once again H.R. was arrested for marijuana, thus loosing the tour. I hope H.R. finds peace in his life. 💗💗 Jah bless i and I.
the need a HD version of this uploaded
This is the best thing ever.
BEST DANCE OFF OF ALL TIME!!! FOREVER LIVE B-BOYS!!!
