What a great Comparison I agree there isn't a 300 dollar difference and I find the pro eagle Price for there mount brackets alone is the price of the Badlands jack
Any time Bro Great video And Appreciate your thoughts and Time For making the video I did a video yesterday on my badlands jack out the box being twisted and one of the wheels in front was a 1/4 inch from touching the ground on every surface got it exchanged today @@ClassyTacos
I did test the Pro Eagle mount and sadly the Badlands one does not mount on it. The chassis is higher and doesn’t allow for the bar to go across as well as it’s a little longer
I want to buy the badlands one now just for the locking handle feature. I can’t stand that the pro eagle handle flings forward toward the truck when you let go.
OUTSTANDING REVIEW! You can't come at EP for costing more. They're a small company with a direct order website only. HF is a nationwide retailer with 1500 stores. They can command a lower price with a mfr because of volume. Yeah I don't like the EP price either, and no it's not "worth" $300 more but this isn't a Napa to Autozone comparison either. I don't think EP is trying to gouge anyone, they just have a lot of overhead for a tiny company......HF has a 90 day warranty, EP 2 years. That says A LOT. I feel after that 90 days that HP isn't going to do much for you besides sell you the seven replacement parts they offer on their parts list, because they don't have to. I do like the fresh ideas HF brought to the jack with the bolt in riser, and the lever on the handle so you can maneuver better and the tool holder built in.
I would assume wheels and jack handle are as they are very similar. As for the rest of the parts, I would not assume they are interchangeable. Have not tried so I can't confirm. Thanks for watching.
This video made me get a HF one and couldn't be happier. Sure, it's a copy, but they definitely thought about improving the original design. Plus this beats my bottle jack...
Got the Badlands a week ago, on assembly, all 4 wheels don’t sit on pavement at same time (all pavement) so something is clearly bent. It’ll be going back this weekend.
Great video. Bought the Badlands for working on my 4x4 Tahoe (2006). Have the 1.5 HF jack that you have, but I can't hit the frame with it. So far really impressed.
Supposedly the Badland Jack also has Rear Axle Lock Not sure were its mentioned in the instructions and even on the box But Nothing tells you were it's located or looks like
Just ordered an Eagle Abraham model. Apparently they have become more competitive on price. In this case cheaper. But for features I would have taken the badlands normally. But Abraham is low profile at 4" and I need it for changing skid steer tires, then I ordered the 8-10" extension for my off road work. Special case I realize, but with price being relatively the same it worked better for me. With out the skid steer need? Would have gone Badlands for sure.
Stop the video at the 12:09 point I have the tube measured for you. Do you want the diameter of the contact surface where the vehicle physically sits on?
Order my jack right before Christmas and was told 2 weeks, 2 weeks later was told the 27th of January. Went in on the 28th and now they say maybe the end of March. Hope you aren’t in a hurry if you order one of these.
@@appleztooranges It will fit without the extension, what needs to be checked is how far under you need to go to get to your jack point. The badlands sits higher off the ground than the Daytona.
Very informative, but the most important thing, as far as measurement, is the distance between both the front wheels and rear wheels (to resist tipping sideways on unlevel ground). I do not see the distance between axles being important at all. Also, the locking of the handle is not to prevent it from hitting the vehicle-it is to facilitate turning, by lifting the front wheels off the ground.
Ya, I like it. It moves around in the garage freely in silence. No real major issues with it, does the intended job. It stays in the garage. It will move around a little thats the only thing that someone could find annoying. Thanks for watching.
I work at the harbor freight warehouse in moreno valley I haven't seen many shipped to the stores compared to other jacks I usually see around 4 or less per store
I tried the badlands, once home, something was bent because all 4 wheels would not sit on the ground at the same time. It also bled down while in use....took it back, spent the money on the pro eagle, not one regret. Get the pro eagle
After doing my fair share of research The Bad Lands off road Jack is way better than the Pro Eagle, Bad Lands is worth every dollar, shimmed aluminum body, skid plates and everything, Harbor Freight has come a long way !!!
Just a simple old school thing against the wheel would be great. Frustrating when you set it down and then turn around and it’s rolling down the driveway
Big companies like pro eagle actually manufacture a similar lower quality product that they sell to other companies like harbor freight. So even though they're a little different and have a different name but they're probably made by the same company...lol. All big Corps. do that with every different type of product. This actually made me laugh. They are jacks man, they lift cars. Just like every other jack. The way they look and feel is the only difference. Besides, tons of videos out of them lifting cars. Thanks for watching.
