for many people the first 10 to 15 minutes are the boring parts but for me thats one very big gift of being a pilot dom i loved it very very much thank you very much :D
To heck with those guys trying to take your pilot films off RUclips! Dom Neal Hug, I'm probably several years older than you, but you are my pilot hero! The real videos you make from the cockpit ("nose view") show powerful, almost emotion-inspiring scenes that most of us "plane enthusiasts" would otherwise never get to see. I have ridden over a million miles in the air---looking out the SIDE windows---so it is super to see the perspective from the two coolest seats on the plane! God bless you!
Great little flight into my old neighborhood! Starts off heading southwest over San Bernardino, then turns west (you can see Lake Matthews at the 10 o'clock) to eventually fly abeam Ontario International. Then it's just a straight shot into the L.A. Basin -- you can see how the geography of L.A. is conducive to sealing in the weather -- a nice gray marine stratus. This is the same geography which gives rise to L.A.'s notorious smog in the summer. When the clouds bottom out they're just a tad west of the 110 heading straight into Inglewood.
Yes Dominic , i like so much this kind of video ..its perfect for the fan KLAX the mytical LAX airport ah ah the long long taxiing to the gate with the ballet of cars and planes ... wondeffull holding point 24L with B747 KLM takeoff so amazing and the beautifull colors during approach over the clouds sea .. your desk is the most beautifull of the world .. soon and cheers JMF
@dnhug You sir have the most beautiful job in the world. I'm 16 years old now and over 2 years I hope to get started with flying lessons and become a commercial airliner pilot too! I Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your video! Greetings from the Netherlands.
I am glad you do this. its not likely that i am going to be sitting in the cockpit of a piper cub at a local airstrip let alone a 747 going into LA. I am always looking for my truck down on one of those streets
very glad you enjoyed! I always spot my house and spots i usualy "hang around" hahaha! Thank You very much for the comment and possibly a "Like". Cheerio, dominic
Such a beautiful and serene feeling watching this video. If all planes ride felt this way it would be great. I love going to LA but just wish it didn't take so long to get there
I wonder if a career in aviation is even worth perusing when we have people like dnhug uploading such wonderful videos. I think I'll stick to engineering an enjoy the view from youtube, lol. Greeting from California.
First of all, great video. Thank you for your countless videos. They are great to watch and very enlightening. Secondly, you get towed into the gate. Is that due to the tight gate spaces at LAX? Thanks again!
+Michael Pugliese Thank you Michael, i have some great projects coming up a bit different then these ones here, but the classic "noseview" will never get old on this channel :) my best regards, dominic
Thanks Clive, all good now but that was an annoying episode with these fellas. Like they claim any cockpit video as theirs, total BS. I started with this when they weren’t even existing yet.. hope you are fine mate, cheers, dom
Great video man. I feel so inspired by you. i want to fly for Virgin Atlantic since they mostly operate aircraft from airbus and many A340s. I am 14 and hoping to get my license here in Australia very soon.
+Oliver ILLI wow Oliver thanks! Was my honour and pleasure to have you onboard yesterday, you will LOVE the videos we filmed for the last landing etc :) have a great great start into this week, and I hope to see you again very soon my friend! All the best! Dominic
Air New Zealand 747 @ 23:25. Being decommissioned? No longer used, last flight was in 2014. A pity we couldn't view the actual docking/parking at the end.
Just before the landing on 24R, back in the late 60's was the AVIS and HERTZ car parking lots. Before the heavy security we used to sit right at the fence and watch the planes just 40' over us or so coming in. The new 747's were an awesome sight to see....but then security tightened after the A-holes took over and made every plane-spotting location off limits. Sad.
@awes141 i have never had this problem but i am a pilot and the rest of my family has the same problem as you. its the change in pressure that causes it and the best thing to do is yawn or chew gum you can also use something called earplanes, they also helped with the pressure
If it's a straight in approach from the East, yep .. probably the RIVR2. Still like the SADDE better though, that turn over Malibu to the SMO VOR is awesome.
Did you know that you can see Palm Springs, Banning, San Bernardino, Pomona Union Station(LA River/Olvera/Alameda Street) Mt. Wilson, Hollywood/Hollywood Sign/Beverly Hills(Rodeo Drive) as well as where Santa Monica Boulevard intersects Wilshire, Century City all on your right. On your left you can see the La Brea Tarpits, Rancho Palos Verdes, Long Beach on your right? On your final approach you can see the 10 Freeway east/West, 105 Freeway The minimums is over I 405 and you can see the Hilton on your left.
why does LAX always tow big a/c to the gate in the Tom Bradley Terminal?? Its so annoying to have to site there and wait for the tow-truck - especially if you're coming in from a long flight from Australia!
Sadly RUclips is no longer a video share site. It's a copyright battleground. RUclips regularly credit the THIEF with bring the OWNER and the ORIGINAL uploader get's removed!! Nice.
True. But if you're not 100% motivated to be a pilot the rest of your life, than it isn't a good idea to start (with ATPL study) I think. Sorry for my English :p
it because it is to close to the gates and object that are in KLAX if you have you engines on idle you can blow the object away. There for they tow you in with engines off Greetings Daniel

The best airport in the world, thanks for uploading.
Beautiful approach over the smog filled LA basin at sunset....with low clouds moving in ...Amazing!
really nice , swiss landings are like swiss chocolates :)

Looking forward to your long version video like this! ! !
Thanks for this, Dominic! Awesome footage.
Thanks for the video! I was sad when it ended just before you pulled into the gate :-( I love seeing that final part of the flight!

You're right Dnhug, the noseview is the best. Watching the Earth pass underneath you from 30,000 ft is spectacular! Thanks

Dennis Deininger Awesome Man! Maybe see You onboard :)
What a long taxi. I really like, when flying to LSZH from KORD and landing on Rwy 14, the two minute or less taxi to Terminal E.
What a great video. Very nice job. Thank You
Dave R Thank You Dave for your comment and a rating.
Theres so much more to see for you then if you liked this one :)
Best regards, dominic

Great video man. I feel so inspired by you. i want to fly for Virgin Atlantic since they mostly operate aircraft from airbus and many A340s. I am 14 and hoping to get my license here in Australia very soon.
best video on youtube...
Dominic another great video!
That taxi took longer than the flight itself :D
if you go to Schipol, the infamous Polderbaan has a 15 minute taxi apparently
what a view, thanks for giving me that link today, oh and you've got a follower more :-)
+Oliver ILLI wow Oliver thanks! Was my honour and pleasure to have you onboard yesterday, you will LOVE the videos we filmed for the last landing etc :) have a great great start into this week, and I hope to see you again very soon my friend! All the best! Dominic
Thanks for sharing mate. Gorgeous stuff.
Was that an ILS approach? So, an automatic Landing?
My dad and I have the same color circle like yours!
My Aviation Weather instructor down at Palomar College in So-Cal handles the LAX approach freq, so im sure you've talked to him multiple times.
Love the KLM 747 pass shortly after he is granted takeoff clearance.
Niiice!👍☺
divine - it´s like being closer to the god creator - sensational video thanks alot.
19:40! Cool timing by the KLM Heavy.
Awesome footage, Dom!
Do you still have pilot ambitions?
Air New Zealand 747 @ 23:25. Being decommissioned? No longer used, last flight was in 2014. A pity we couldn't view the actual docking/parking at the end.
Been waiting for this all day Dom, thanks for the upload!
P.S. did you find the password yet?
Dom just wished every video that you’ve downloaded was long version

Amazing landing!
Beautiful approach :D

Used the pushback for parking? I didn't know it could be used also for that.
Great video Mate :)
thanks man!
Is this RIVR2? Thinking it must be.. I probably watched you fly over.
If it's a straight in approach from the East, yep .. probably the RIVR2. Still like the SADDE better though, that turn over Malibu to the SMO VOR is awesome.

I was just wanting to know If those lights at 17:40 are actual lights or reflective cats like they have on the road.
why does LAX always tow big a/c to the gate in the Tom Bradley Terminal?? Its so annoying to have to site there and wait for the tow-truck - especially if you're coming in from a long flight from Australia!
Stunning
@MrBryan86 The KLM was taking off on runway 24L, the Swiss landed on 24R...
damn that's a lot of clouds
wow nice video :)
why is there so much noise in that cockpit?
another comment from Plane Spotters but i'm they other owner xD how did he installed the camera? with tape or what? haha
Long taxi from runway to terminal :)
Sorry for my English :p
always thought you were not allowed to use cameras whilst landing..........
it because it is to close to the gates and object that are in KLAX if you have you engines on idle you can blow the object away. There for they tow you in with engines off
Greetings Daniel
Super Cool Vide dude gate 104:)
My god! Does Swiss provide meals with that taxi? ;-)
Yes he is
Would be great flight footage with ATC as we'll
Ive included that in my newer videos.
cheers and thank you for watching!
I know this is aeroplane .But i don't know what aeroplane is this.
This was a airbus A340-300 operated by swiss international.
Thank you for watching!
I was talking about incoming flights (heavies) into LAX from overseas, not departing flights going thru push-back...
The ATC cleared the KLM to takeoff when u are still not clear of the runway
Wow...That's a looong taxi.
Nice Nice :)
If you think of it as "just hauling people around" my advice is quit this thing asap. It won't take long to realize it yourself, though
