Former Boeing Everett here... it's easy to forget the thrill of flying a bird like the Triple Seven. We make them and concentrate on producing safe, dependable, and economical aircraft for customers around the world. All it takes is to see a perfect by the book landing at night at LAX for a reminder why we do it. Pilot and First Officer had great CRM, there was never anything misunderstood. Both worked very effectively as a team. I would love to once again be in the Flight Deck of a Triple Seven. When it first came out, the All Glass Cockpit was revolutionary. I always loved the color scheme Boeing used in the Cockpit. The digital displays and layout of switches is very logical. Thank you for video.
Very nicely done. Very appropriate labeling. No music. No jerky camera. Pretty freakin' AMAZING camera coverage and resolution. Legible audio with easy to read subtitles. Amazingly sparse ATC traffic. Merci'!
It's really something passing by LAX at night and seeing 5, 8, 10, or even 12 sets of lights in a line trailing off far to the east, as planes from all over the world line up to land. Makes the world seem a lot smaller.
If there's a previous life, I swear I was a pilot...and a good one. I have a passion for flying. Can't stop watching those take off and landing videos. Awesome!!!
Really good video. The others don't have everything labeled like this. It really makes a difference as you start to understand the controls. Thank you for uploading. Also it's in ultra-HD 4k resolution. This is beyond professional, this is excellence.
This is great thanks - my dad was an airline pilot and let me ride in the cockpit when he could (in the 1970’s) - but the grandeur of it never goes away.
Agreed, but also thank those great engineers that make these fabulous machines, Todays avionics and navigation tools are amazing. Great flying by two pros... Have to love it.

It’s crazy when I hear people complain about flight delays or cancellations and stuff like that when they take for granted the absolute miracle of aviation and the amazing pilots who guide these amazing pieces of equipment. Like look at at those instruments, just everything and it leaves me in awe
Do you see the three little displays between the large compass/wx and the engine functions? Those are called "standby indicators." One is used as the ADI ball, one is for the VSI, and I think the third one is a compass. They are used in case the PDF system fails. I worked at Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids IA on that display project back in the late 1980's/early 1990's. The engineering in just that little display was amazing 30 years ago. I was assigned to the engineer who developed the backlighting system for the LCD. Each function had its own engineer. All of that engineering and manufacturing for a mere $5K in 1990 dollars :) Can't imagine what the engineering and costs are like now!
That's an awesome view of the cockpit, lighting and panels inside, as well as kind of the irregular route into LAX. Most of the routes turn in around Santa Monica, then E to Downtown, then 180 degrees to the right, then straight west into LAX. But that could be a different runway approach. LA is beautiful at night from above!
Great landing video! But, that can't be Crenshaw Blvd as it runs North/South. I think it's Manchester Blvd (which runs East/West). The Inglewood Forum is right off there, so likely a game night. (born and raised in LA)
@@IcarusFlightPlan1 Agreed. I know that city like the back of my hand. I do think you can see Dodger Stadium for a second while they're making the turn over downtown... but I could be wrong. At 0:50, right above the word "Checked".

I didn't think I'd ever find *this* on RUclips!!! SO fascinating. Thanks for uploading such a quality video! I can never get bored of watching planes land or being a mere passenger. I can only imagine the feelings a pilot gets controlling this marvellous piece of equipment.
It was hard to read some of the call outs in this video; white text over white lights in the background. In those cases, you should apply an unfeathered black border - 3 or 4 pixels wide - around the text so it will knock out the area around the text making it more readable. Also, while larger sensor cameras generally have better image quality, you run into the problem you see here, where the background is out of focus. A smaller sensor camera would give you greater depth of field allowing everything to be in focus. I know this is just a nighttime issue; it shouldn't be a problem during the day since you can stop the aperture down to maintain depth of field. Sure, it's not very "filmic"...but it would be nice to see the city in focus, even though our attention is on the pilots. Otherwise, great vid! Thanks!
Thank you Tom. Indeed, we had to make the choice of displaying the text on the window ( and blocking the view) or on the overhead panel but loosing readibility with all the buttons below... We'll try to find out before we release the extended version.
