Through the years I learned this: How confortable and "at home" a pilot is in a flight deck is inversely proportional to the number of times he/she feels the need to adjust the seat during an approach.
Beautiful video :) Great landing with skill and precision. I've always wondered how a pilot makes the adjustment to commanding the aircrafts flight using their non-dominant hand, if they're right handed. Especially if you've been promoted up from the #2 seat.
That's an amazing viewpoint from the cockpit. It's crazy to think about your flying this massive piece of machinery and responsible for so many lives. Respect.
Can someone tell me what the rotating black and white wheel was just next to her right hand? It began to rotate after the co-pilot said something like "reverse screen" at 2:36.
It’s the elevator trim wheel. Trim is a small “flap” like part of a control surface that enables the use of airflow over that control surface to hold that control in its current position. It also reduces the amount of force needed to move that control. In most airliners the trim is automatic and tied to the autopilot. This is why it’s moving on its own in this case. For the A320, elevator trim is automatic unless in Direct Law. For small planes without autopilots this wheel would need to be moved by the pilot. Rotating backwards gives more nose up trim and forward the opposite. The call that was made was “Reverse Green” referring to the thrust reversers deploying successfully. The reason the trim moved soon after that was because it was returning the trim to a neutral position, as opposed to a nose up position during landing. During preflight we have to check a scale at the front of the elevator to confirm its position is 0.
5R in Mexico City is one of my favorite arrivals. If you cheat just a tiny bit coming around the corner, open the descent about 1/3 mile before that final constraint, you won't bust the altitude, and you roll out perfectly on glideslope on speed. That way you don't have to grab glideslope from above. Ground speed is a tiny bit fast because of the higher than normal altitude but it makes for a sweet landing. Watch out for the hydroplane after a rain, slick without grooves. Enjoy! FYI, she kept her autopilot on until 250 AGL. The three clicks is the autopilot being disengaged, no judgment, just educating those who don't fly the Airbus.
The part I'm confused about, is why were the controllers on the radio speaking Spanish??? English is the International language of Air Traffic Control, period! It's an ICAO regulation. Or at least it was.

"girl pilot" how friggen obnoxious, she is a trained pilot, PERIOD
Exactly! Would they say "boy pilot" as well?
How do you know, Could be a Democrat. . . .
She is a CPT!
Thats like saying a boy is stepping down and letting Kamala go for it.
Ser ótimo profissional,independe de gênero!!!👍
Huge cockpit, so smooth.....gave me creepers.....thanks for sharing❤
This is not a "girl" pilot landing in MEX 05R.....this is a very skilled pilot who happens to be a WOMAN......
Love it! Perfect video! Perfect landing!
Perfect lady 👌🙏
The best time in human history to be alive! Amazing sight to see!
Amazing !!! Cool as a cucumber it mind boggling how pilots like this wonderful lady have so much skill 👍🏼❤
This is the coolest landing video I've ever seen. Most are straight out the front window. Now I have a better idea of what it's like.
Edit: I just noticed she's flying with a joystick, not a steering yoke.
Looks like the bridge on an ocean liner.
Phenomenal landing and concentration.... my respect to the captain... what a awesome and coordination landing and team work... !!! All The Best !!!! first time watching your channel
The sincronicity between them at 0:30 seconds show us how paying attention they were . Congrats to all team.
Wow, what a woman. Superb.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
quiet. good job
👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Here a base too...
She looks and did an amazing job.
Respect.
Go girl, beautiful to watch. ❤️
The pilot flying is a professional woman.
That was some smooth landing,,,,
Girl Pilot!! Why not Pilot?
are you a banana or man?
you are the men who are allowing feminism to destroy the world.
you want woman as pilot, are you nuts?
Nice. Explain all the buttons and levers you push at the time you push them.
such an incredible scene. Shes easy on the eyes too
Great to see landing from the front
Why? she had no t its.
Una piloto bella y capaz !! Enamora!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can someone tell me what the rotating black and white wheel was just next to her right hand? It began to rotate after the co-pilot said something like "reverse screen" at 2:36.
Reverse Green.
Trim Wheel.
@@JohannesFabender What does that mean?
@NathanM3JetPilot Thank-you for such a complete explanation.
The three clicks is the autopilot being disengaged, no judgment, just educating those who don't fly the Airbus.
...yeah but I think she had her knickers in a twist !
The part I'm confused about, is why were the controllers on the radio speaking Spanish??? English is the International language of Air Traffic Control, period! It's an ICAO regulation. Or at least it was.
Total respect. Not only because is a girl, because she is very skilled and remain focused in her Job.
Well Done Girl and Why Not.❤❤❤❤❤❤Fabulous and Cool
What an exceptionally patronising title.
The pilot has earned their place in the left seat of an A320, and to refer to her in the title as a "girl" is myogenic and frankly an insult.
Most people couldn’t care less who is piloting the plane as long as they are qualified. If a baboon could fly these aircrafts I would be ok with it. Stop with this BS it’s ruining the world.
Exactly! The fact that the title says “girl pilot” says a lot about this channel.
Whta’s myogenic?
