Très beau vidéo! Bienvenue au Canada. J'adore aller « spotter » a CYUL , au début de la 24R ou il ya l'affice publicitaire, sur le boulvard a droite de la 24 R aussi et quelques autres places !! Félicitations
3:18 mark (left side with the circle like parking area) Pitfield...really good and popular spot to watch the planes land...have been there many times... :-) Kirk..Montreal, Canada
You have no Idea how great this video is. Finally a cockpit video of Montreal and who better of Swiss!!! I'm an airline pilot and I would love to do this, unfortunately I can't get permission from my airline. Keep up the good work Dom!
Hello! Montreal has a system where sensors detect where the aircraft is in relation to where the aircraft should stop. If you see, the marshaller is looking up at the "board" where this information is displayed. Most of the time, large airports have these systems which mean that pilots don't have to look at what the marshaller is doing. He is simply relaying information to the pilots, a safety procedure they have. Hope this helps!
Superb aviation video! Thanks alot dnhu! Excellent to view this vid to come in the moods for an upcoming Canada trip at the end of this year, hopefully!!
Minimums for a CAT II approach are often 100ft - if you get a call out for 120ft, you know it's soon upon you. Same reason some airlines call out V1 several knots before actual V1. Gives you a buffer to react quicker (even though those calls are predicated on a response time of a few seconds .. you can never be too safe)
Hi everyone! I live only a few miles from Trudeau airport, and from what I see here this landing may well have been in early winter such as November or possibly December. It used the approach over the east end of Montreal/Montreal Island. I have landed this way before. Sometimes incoming planes will approach from the Southwest over Lake St. Louis and part of the suburban city of Pointe Claire in the Valois Bay area. That approach could make an interesting video too!
I was on one of these flights (LX86 I believe?) and when we landed, I asked to visit the cockpit but they didn't let me :( It was a great flight nonetheless! Awesome video, glad to see that you like my hometown.
Wonderful! You just landed in my country (I have double citizenship) :D I've landed in CYUL on an A330-300 as well... From Air Canada! I also landed with BA's Triple 7 and 18 years ago on a three month old Air France A340-300 in Mirabel! :D Wonderful video! Thumbs up!
nice! very nice! hey dom I got a wingview landing! sadly i was only able to capture it with my mobile phone! how am I able to change the aspect ratio in magix?
Beaucoup de neige a Zurich et a Montreal, mais les avions volent normalement. 5cm de neige a Paris et c'est le grand bordel. Mais il y a une explication : En France, la neige est geree par Bercy.
Very nice, looking at the site it looks like this is just after a big snow storm, and, not too many traffic on roads below, or I am going nuts, whatever, real nice video.

At 7:50 the guy turns his back to the plane...doesn't single stop until after pilot did it on his own....hahaha. Paying attention on the job is just so difficult!
@dnhug Ok, its just because i might grow up to be a Steward(im only 14), just wanted to hear what the pro's think :) If not steward, then ATC'er, my uncle is 1, ive seen him at work, seems pretty cool! Cheers! :)
As always, great video! A couple of years ago, I flew from CYUL to KORD and saw Swiss depart CYUL for LSZH and then saw Swiss arrive at KORD from LSZH. Two international flights in two different counties on the same day, cool! Check out some of my Swiss wing-view videos under my RUclips Id.

Beautiful landing in a beautiful city.

Beautiful! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite aviation channels.
WOW!! What a fantastic video!! Thanks for that!! Loved it!!

Nice video! I've landed many times on the 24R in YUL, but never saw it from the cockpit! Thanks!
great footage Dom, nice to see you were here in Canada!
Fantastic!!
Great quality as usual...=)
Your work is awesome ! Great video !
Great as usual Dom!
Very good landing into Montreal in wintry conditions.😬👏🤝👍
I was on one of these flights (LX86 I believe?) and when we landed, I asked to visit the cockpit but they didn't let me :( It was a great flight nonetheless! Awesome video, glad to see that you like my hometown.
Awesome quality, thanks for posting! :)
Now that was a soft landing. :D Great clip, again, as usual. :)
sweet arrival on a snowy day ! You kick my ass again
@JumpStartation The question wasn't related to the aircraft, but the callouts. "120" isn't a normal altitude callout, therefore.
Wonderful! You just landed in my country (I have double citizenship) :D I've landed in CYUL on an A330-300 as well... From Air Canada! I also landed with BA's Triple 7 and 18 years ago on a three month old Air France A340-300 in Mirabel! :D
Wonderful video! Thumbs up!
good one, love the cockpit approach videos
the landings are always smooth :D
Cool video. It was like before the era of color television :)
Montreal is kinda grey in the winter. It's still one of my favourite towns.

Dillion Doo Will do Man! Thank You for your comment!
how do u get into the cockpit to record such good work
500-400-300-200-120?
Pretty nice!
It could be a minimums call out...normally it's 200 m.s.l but due to visual limitations it could be reduced minimums. Not exactly sure either...LOL
Why it call 120 ?
magnifique!! =D
@ReSpAWnNOw12 pardon me, they don't anymore. They only fly to Montreal now
we are never allow to fly this in my C150 :o/ but we can do circles around the MontRoyal on the left :o)
