I cannot thank you enough Dom for posting these videos. Gets the excitement out of my system about flying!
Flew out of SFO on 1R in a fully loaded United 772. Never thought we'd rotate. I almost had a heart attack. Thanks for posting!
Ever since i was a child I wanted to be a pilot, like this video, when I was 16 I was told I could never be a pilot because my hearing was so bad in one ear. Now I sling bags for 19 bucks an hour (AUS). You lucky man, enjoy it :)
WOW! - That beautiful sunset! I'm deeply moved... Thank you soooo much! :)
I thank you for watching! This one was eye candy indeed, have a great day and see you in the next video hopefully! Best regards, Dominic
@@dnhug Of course you'll see me. :)
It’s gonna be CSeries time again! Thank you so much for your Support, have a great weekend ahead of you! Dom
@@dnhug I'm staying tuned. - The same good wishes to you. :)
Thank you for sharing that with us ....very nice for those of us who are facinated with cockpit views of such a large airliner. Great shot of the Golden Gate....:)
This is such a pleasure to watch, the colours are awesome, the ATC was great, and I really felt like I was there! Thanks alot, this is my favourite video!
Glad to hear the ATC :D The sky is totally awesome, and i loved that view of the Golden gate.
i always go to SFO to watch the planes!
top notch video, puts you right in the cockpit.
WONDERFUL Dominic Neil Hug! Just loved it, especially your last moment turn of the camera showing the iconic Golden Gate bridge.
Have loved all your videos - including the Maldives landing, which was just a mesmerizing beautiful video.
I think it's the first take off I see your videos and as always awesome
One of the best. Clean and awesome!!
Another great job Dom :-)
For those that don't know, this flight number (39) is still in service, but is now served by a Boeing 777-3DE.
Paul in KCRP
+w5pda thank you Paul! Old but still gold these sfo videos on the 340, very glad you enjoyed! Yes indeed, this flight is now operated with the 777, same as LAX. Il be on that flight in january or february, i want to go spotting again out there. Have a great day Paul and again thx for your comment! Dominic
Captain Dominic, if EVER you feel down, just remind yourself, "You know how many guys wish they had my job?" and smile. Thanks for the great videos!
You're flying the jetliner AND repositioning the camera to give us a shot of San Francisco city? Too much!
the view looks great!
Live long Dom!
Priceless video :)
Good day!
Watched the whole thing... very immersive - nice!
Totaly awesome!
Fascinating, and great closing shot.
The Singapore Airlines 777-300ER at 1:58 was either going to Hong Kong or Seoul, and was equipped with the new 30" wide business class seats and the new 35" wide first class seats! :)
beautiful colours in the sky at 10:00 ¡¡¡. like the atc sounds¡
That was a great video! I liked how you were able to capture the other aircraft landing while taking off. The only thing that ruined it was the rattling. Other than that, great video :)
haha ....... 13:07 the camera turns to the left and 13:28 suddenly the plane "caught" a heavy wind from the left side [or we say it was a swing to the right side and I think then back to the real heading] ............ and ............ we can see the Golden Gate!
You are soooooooo tricky! Thank you so much!
very cool Dom!!!
Loved it!
Very good!
Great video!!
Awesome work ! Always a pleasure to watch your vid´s !! Thank´s Dom !!
Great video! It was a nice surprise to see the Golden Gate again! :)
Take care Dom!
Andrew
Splendid as always and really love the fantastic scenery from takeoff till the end!! Best cockpit videos I have ever seen. You could upload every day and I would keep watching...I can never get enough of a good thing :)
Fantastic video! this is super. Just great!!
The flight over San Francisco city was so beautiful!! :-D
Such an amazing time for takeoff, busy traffic too
Nice as usual :)

GOD!i love those 777's!i can watch those monsters all day long!!
beautiful..simply beautiful
+Larry Peters thank you very much!
What a beauty. Awesome video.
I wish that SWISS (that and Cathay Pacific) would add flight services here in Philadelphia. I'm guessing that's not going to happen in my lifetime.
Anyways, great video!!
Soo beautiful :)
Awesome thanks!
Great show as usual !!
very nice i like the atc sounds
Dom,,, Godbless your soul man!!!
@dnhug
I did not realize about Alliances. Well, hopefully in the near future, Philly gets something. because all we have are 3 foreign airlines as of now: Air Canada, British Airways, and Lufthansa. I am desperate for something here.
Thanks for the info, buddy
Keep up the excellent work!!
13:40 HELLO! GOLDEN GATE!
Very nice!
Can you make a video filmed from behind the pilots. With the camera somewhere in the left top of the cockpit. That would be amazing!!
Its amazing that an aircraft can literally fly halfway around the world
man, i cant wait to get mah lisence :D really want to fly these birds :D
Nice! Going there soon :)
is it just me or does the pilot flying rotate before the other guy says so?
9:05 ...
awesome video once again
and great scenery towards the end of vid.
8:07 What a beautiful sight.
Awesome!!!
Whaow, perfect! Thanks for sharing :)
Good video as usual the real deal
You´re the best!
Thnx a mill :)
Great video!
Another great video as expected. BTW, are you going to include ATC from now on?
love the video
Super Video und super Take off! =D
Great Vid ... I was sorta hoping we'd fly off into the sunset, but I think the nice bank over the Golden Gate was even better: what was the song you where humming during taxi?
What a beautiful plane, I used to fly on these back when Swiss still flew to Santiago de Chile. Now I am stuck with crummy Air France 777s which seem to never be cleaned.
Another fantastic video Dom, may I ask what camera you use?
THanks :D
man, i cant wait to get mah lisence :D really want to fly these birds :D plus, are you captain or first officer dnhug?
Such a weird takeoff! It feels like your not even climbing! Deffo a takeoff you need to keep your eyes on the PFD Altitude and pitch lol. First time i took the 28L takeoff it freaked me out kinda then i suddenly saw the hills drop was amazing! Awesome video ;D I forget are you cabin crew? or a second officer?
Wonderful view, I loved ! I will fly for swiss airlines toomorow ; )
+william zenon hope you have had a great experience! my best greetsings to you william!
HO yes !, a very good expericence, thank you very much captain ; )
Awesome!! What are the packs that pilots talk about?? What do they do, and what controls them?? I own a lot of aviation DVDs, and always wonder.
Great vid!
Never seen those flashing taxiway centerline lights before. But wait, is it cause of the video? Frames per second or sth?
What God allows us to do. Amazing each and every time I see a plane up in the air. I`m 45yrs old and I`m thinking about going back to school for aviation maintenance. I love planes.
Flight was achieved due to intelligent men and women who dedicated their lives to human progress. Essentially, we copied the design of birds. I think giving credit to God is entirely dismissing human ingenuity.
@dnhug Okay!
Cheers from Denmark
superb
Nice!
YAY!!! EVA AIR's 777-300ER!
7:51 screenshot and to my screen background! i thank you again for this beautiful sight!! and this videos are amazing!
could you tell when are you flying the plane in apps ant take offs?
thank you again so much
Muy bueno
funky motor on take off
collate, cheese, watches, banking. this is great also. danke.
Evenings you fly out of like this i bet you say ahh i love my job!
Thomi Frick war nicht zufällig der Kapitän auf diesem Flug? Dachte ich hätte seine Stimme erkannt.
@dnhug thx for replying :)
@dnhug okay, do you ever get to sit in the cockpit during take off?!
And there he goes: Past US Highway 101, Tanforan Mall (old horse race track), Little Manila (Serramonte Mall, Daly City), Skyline Blvd, Pacifica, then a right over Ocean Beach, The Sewer Plant, past the San Francisco Zoo (Lion feeding time is the best!), then the rows and rows of old baby boomer tract houses in the Sunset and Richmond districts (all over $800,000 USD each!) with Golden Gate Park right in the middle (bigger than Central Park, NYC!). And last, the Golden Gate bridge.
Are you a pilot or do you give them your camera for all of this footage?
If you'd know a bit about being a pilot you'd quickly figure that Dominic neil hug himself is not a captain or first officer. He has cockpit Videos of the whole Swiss Fleet, so he probably is a CCM. Correct me if I'm wrong...
12:30 the golden bridge
Singapore Airlines! :)
Are you sitting in the cockpit on takeoff?!
Cheers
Hello mate, how can you filmed all these video in the cockpit? Are you pilot? or what? :D :D :P
Schweigt ihr euch immer so an im Cockpit ;D
Dom, what are "Packs"?
Hab das vom Platz 34K miterlebt :)
Dude did u work in swiss or?
HB-JMJ?
@dnhug,
black continent? i dont know about Switzerland, but that's considered offensive in the USA..
Can someone help me please?! I'm 18, live in Las Vegas and can really use some guidance on how to become a pilot! My current plans are to attend ATP flight school here in Vegas.
Kinda becomes dated when that United Airlines Boeing 777-200ER with the Battleship Grey crosses the frame at 2:10, since it's now been repainted.
At least there's a repainted United 777-200 that is seen landing on 28L.
***** Indeed. But thats the beauty of it, we can all look this and say "remember the times when" . Not dated, a nostalgic treat!
best reards, and PS, i still dont like the new Livery compared to the old one ;)
I actually saw a United aircraft in the old white with yellow/blue/red stripes last year. Think it was for marketing purposes but pretty cool nonetheless.
What is "packs"?
Was this recorded outside the cockpit? :0
I think he mounts the camera on the inside of the cockpit
Seems legit
At 13:25 your turning the heading aren't you?
Cut off the video during the best part, flying by the GG BRIDGE and the City. :(
Any US carrier flying the A340?
No. But many European and Asian airlines uses them on routes to the US, so you can easily catch a ride on one if you want to. Both the -200, -300 and the -600 flies to the US :)
correct me if i'm wrong but i do think JetBlue is the only US carrier using the Airbus brand for the planes,(A320-21)
bigtone718
United, AA, and US Air have a320's aswell. 340's are not to be seen by american Carriers, only the shorthaul Bus. Cheers man thx for watching! dominic
bigtone718 Virgin America has A319s and A320s. United has A319s and A320s and has ordered A350s. American has A319s and A321s (some for transcontineltal and some for replacing the B757s). US has A319s, A320s, A321s and A330s (both the -200 and -300) and has ordered som A350s and Frontier has A319s and A320s
Andrew Nielsen
ok then i stand corrected, thanks for the info buddy!
