Thanks for the videos. I'm an LAA f/o transitioning to the bus currently from the 76. Heading out to phx next week for sims. These are helpful to cement the triggers and flows. Fly safe!
I've always thought pilots were reserved and not very talkative in terms of what they say. You opened some new doors, I love the funny comments along your flights. KEEP IT UP! SHOW PEOPLE THE REALITY! :D
OMG HOW FREAKING COOL IS THIS!!!! I just happened to come across this video, and this is super cool that you shared this with us!! I'm totally bugging out watching this!! Thank you!!
AADFWspotters2 They were expecting 1L, since the SERFR1 departure calls for 1L, which is a shorter taxi than 1R, but with 1L being closed, 1R was their only option.
@@soflaav8r I did end up getting my PPL and even my instrument, but I ended up being a controller lol. I started running out of money and didn’t want to take out a loan so I took a shot in the dark and applied to be a controller and got hired
AirbusPilotMark, Sure Thing! My ultimate goal is to work at the airlines just like you. My flight instructor flies the A319, A320, and the A321 for U.S Airways. He's an F/O just like you! I know there all the same airplane in terms of cockpit layout. The only difference is the pure size of the plane. Hopefully he can help me get a job at the airlines when the time comes. Maybe someday you and I will fly together 😄! Would love to fly the Airbus !
Working my way up there! I've been flying the C-172 for around 2 years now. I have around 30 hours now. I'm only 14 so I have a little way to go until I can solo I wish I could fly the A321! I guess all pilots start in the C-172. I'll sure miss U.S Airways!
We all start basic. I started in 1991 on a C-152 and now I am doing my ATP Type Rating on the Airbus series. Just work hard, study hard and invest hard.
Also, I have a question that is probably pretty stupid....but I've always wondered, with all of those knobs and switches everywhere, where do airplane manufacturers place the controls for the landing lights, beacons, navigation lights, etc? Are they all grouped into one basic location or are they pretty much everywhere? (If everywhere, then I'd just be curious where you turn on/off those super bright landing lights). Thanks!
@@AirbusPilotMark I once had a flight delayed for 20 minutes because the first officer didn't have theirs charged up and needed to swap it out. Weird experience.
US Airways. Flight took place 2014, when they were still around. US Airways got merged with American Airlines in 2015. This plane still flies today for American.
First saw this video in high school. Now I’m training to fly the 737 after a little over a year at a regional. Time flies pretty fast!
Amazing! What route did you take? Went to college? or tried building hours as a flight instructor

Good V2500 sound!

Please make more videos when you can! These videos really help out us want to be pilots. Your videos are awesome. Please put more up!
From Indonesia, because FAA sterile cockpit rule, no one pilots to filming the cockpit while on duty.
2:02 Capt: "looks like that runways closed..." FO: "What, 1L?" Capt: "yeah..." FO: (Long silence) "fuck...." LOL brilliant!

I will never fly with this airline anymore. Should have watched their language. I was watching this with my 3 kids!
Lol US Airways doesn’t exist anymore
Thank you for the video Mark! Seriously can't wait to get my PPL and hopefully up to the airlines in a few years!
How did that work out for you?

@@BelowMinimums so how do you like it now?
There is no such a thing in aviation like "routine".
Great video.
Thank you, Mark! This is awesome!

Oh, and Awesome videos!
Amazing video! Keep them coming please
Terrific! Would you please make many more of these, if possible? And possibly with different camera angles. Thanks!
Love the videos. Got anymore coming?
Miss the Cactus callsign
october in SFO is always a grand time to fly
Hello captian may i ask you why airbus model acj (private jet) a319 a320 can fly long rang than a320 a319 comercial flight?
Very cool videos. Subbed!
Another good one! Do you remember which SID this was?
Looks like the PORTE6 to me
That's what I had in mind as well.
Awesome! Great footage!

+Andy Smith Above the captain is the switches for the landing lights, and all the beacon , nav lights, and taxi lights are on the upper panel also!.
Upper panel front right. Landing lights are above the landing gear handle almost located on the front panel more to the right.
rare ,video of take off in rwy 01 R ;-)
what airlines is that?
JOHN J U.S. Airways.
“Cactus” was U.S. Airways until they merged with American
Seat belts should have been secured before you even pushed back from the gate dude😅
At the end of the video is that the oxygen mask we hear?
No..can’t remember what it was . O2 masked are stored in normal ops.
Think that’s just his hand feeling around the camera for the stop recording button.
@@LiamHolloway Yeah after a year of flight simulation and real Airbus flights...I am no longer a noob😂😂😂.
Is that an Ipad to the left of the Captain? If so, what does he use it for?
iPad's are issued by the company and contain all the charts and manuals we used to all have to carry around.
check lists too?
Paperless cockpit is the new trend.
Mainly netflix

Why the US-based Airbus pilots says FLEX and 80 knots?
Perfection
Is it normally that quiet between the first officer and the captain
Does anyone know the registration of the aircraft? I.e. the Cactus A321 they’re flying
At 2:25 you can see the call sign under the auto pilot panel. It's N551UW. She's still flying for American now :)
What airline?
US Airways. Flight took place 2014, when they were still around. US Airways got merged with American Airlines in 2015. This plane still flies today for American.
+AirbusPilotMark I want to become a commercial airline pilot. I just don't what to do. Please help in my search to do my dream job.
You just need to google a local flight school near you. Visit one and tell them your goals.
AirbusPilotMark Thanks so much for your help. Cheers!
what airline?
That was post merger AWA/US Airways, before the big merger with American.
