To the ordinary public watching this its awesome. Shame the visits to the cockpit have stopped during a flight, but this is certainly the next best thing. Love to see it on a big screen. Thanks for sharing it.
I flew on A340 from Frankfurt to Hyderbad and back. So comfortable and roomy. This was my favorite plane after that in 2007. Haven't had the chance to fly since.
It's always a warming sight flying in to LA, seeing all the lights, after being down in St. Maarten for a week. It makes me feel so at home and cozy when I see the lights.
All of DNHUG's videos are Must See's I love every one, he makes me jealous that I am not a pilot...but at least I can see true approaches and not crap from Amateurs.
this is fantastic! I hate flying But i certainly appreciate the skill, training, and technology that goes into making it possible. very, very impressive! It is a huge leap of faith to descend through clouds and not be able to see beyond them. also did it seem the runway was soo far away, like the plane was way too low, yet he lands it like a champ.
Another great video from dnhug! That marine layer is pretty common around LA. Its a really beautiful takeoff out of LAX on a clear day. Once we were stuck out over the Pacific in a box pattern because a gear didn't retract. It was gorgeous that day!
Hey, mr Dnhug..good job..!! well done..!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us, bloody aviation lovers..!! That's just the kind of plane video I enjoy watching..no background music...!! Who needs music when you have available those wonderful engines or cockpit sounds..?! Intense roar is the best music for me..!! Thanks again for posting it..!!
I've made many trips to Los Angeles as I have family there and enjoy the area. I haven't had the opportunity to see this view since April 2011... starts later than I usually saw due to heavy low ceiling but the last landmarks were there... Hollywood Park/Forum, In & Burger at Sepulveda/Lincoln, and then you're down... I'm going to be doing some work out there this Summer but I need my vehicle so I won't see the landing... but I'm sure I'll hit that In & Out and watch some planes with my Animal Style & fries!! Thanks so much for sharing this!! :-)
dominick virgilio I haven't yet had the opportunity to enjoy all of the illegal aliens up here in Minnesota let alone SoCal. I guess I'll have to get on that...
WOW!! 5:00 that wasn't expected reaallly amazing landing and great city the clouds makes this video is so special, keep recording :P and yeah I've been busy lol
Must see? Most definitely if you appreciate the best view from the aircraft! You, sir, have yourself a subscriber! A340 also happens to be one of my favourite aircraft - bonus!
Around 2:30 into the clip I assume the gears are being deployed because of increasing noise.. And Interesting ground technics.. See the red taxi halt signal on the taxiway center (behind the 24L-6R marker line - Pilot actually stops) as long as the KLM did not pass for takeoff. After it has, the red light goes off signaling the pilot can now pass across the other runway.
Great video, question did the aircraft develop a fault with its nose gear steering, hence the push back arriving at aircraft to position a/c onto parking stand.
Me gustó todo! fue increíble observar el 747 despegando y el hombre del push back con gorro de navidad... Saludos desde México! :) Sorry i'm not very good speaking english:c
Sharon Sandpiper At least everybody was awake at touchdown :) Wasnt that rough, and the 343 is tricky to set down smoothly. Cheerio, Thank You for watching, dominic
I kept looking for the white arches but never saw them, though I did see that KLM 747 in line waiting to take off on 24L. Beautiful, coming in through the clouds, nice landing, long roll-out! What a thrill! I never get tired of seeing these beautiful big birds land, whether I'm on them or watching on land. I'm GA, so don't get to fly (ride) on big aircraft too often, unless I'm leaving the U.S. or flying somewhere mid or east U.S. I remember my father taking us close to LAX to see planes coming in when I was just a child, we used to do it about every other weekend. I guess that made me want to fly. Then, I did fly, and then I went to SFO to watch, when I wasn't flying myself. Now I'm in the mountains 2 states away from Calif so rarely get to see any big aircraft except overhead between flight levels 30-40k! Love these sites, thank you for posting!
Fantastic Vids mate!! Guy was totally right about the full screen... Ahhhh LAX gotta get back there 1 day..Good to see V Australia there waiting for the evening flight back to OZ..
Why do you care? Does it cost you money to watch these great videos? If you do not like it, then do not watch them. To some, it is a 'must see'. If it isn't to you, then keep your comment to yourself. This is a wonderful video from a point of view most of us do not get to see. So to some, it is a must see.
Would've loved to see the tow in. Is there a reason the plane didn't just power to the gate? Forgive my ignorance, I always thought they only used tugs for pushback. Maybe that's just smaller planes though?
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'd assume that they used the CATIII auto-land system available. At the very least they would not touch the controls until DH around 250' AGLish. Of course I'd rather believe that the PF (pilot flying) dislikes computers flying my aircraft as much as the rest of us for landings in nice weather like that and that he or she did it manually. Much more fun. :-) Again, thanks. I always keep in mind that pilots have the best office view. After all, pilots have been looking down on people since 1903. :-)
I have been to LAX sometime back but of course never been able to enjoy the sky view of the Airport. Thanks a lot! Is this the same Tom Bradley Int"National Air Port? We were staying in Culver city near Cedar Park.
Don't really know, haven't seen that before. The A340 is a large plane and the gates might have been small and tight with other planes on both sides, so it might have been easier to tow it in...
Love it. The perfectly framed KLM 747 taking off was the cherry on top!
The In-N-Out on Sepulveda FTW. A favorite LAX planespotting hangout.
3:02
Oh wow! That KLM 747 was a brilliant catch! Really awesome perspective on that beast!
I tip my hat to each and every pilot. You guys are amazing.
It's nothing like a front end view of landing and taking off .Thanks for posting ,loves to see other countries too.
Perfect cinematographic-timing with the KLM 747 just passing Vr! Awesome video!
To the ordinary public watching this its awesome. Shame the visits to the cockpit have stopped during a flight, but this is certainly the next best thing. Love to see it on a big screen. Thanks for sharing it.

live 8 miles south of LAX. Always wanted to see the landing from cockpit. Thanks so much for sharing theses wonderful approach views...
Loved the KLM 74, pure awsomeness.
It's always a warming sight flying in to LA, seeing all the lights, after being down in St. Maarten for a week. It makes me feel so at home and cozy when I see the lights.
Wow, right on the numbers!!! Great job flying those big "ships and the sky and bringing them back to the airport.
I'm most impressed with the tug driver at the end. Not easy pushing a tow-bar like that accurately
As said in other comments the In N Out to the right of the park is the best place for plane watching! I love it!
Wow, that KLM-takeoff in front of the cockpit was amazing!
That's an amazing view. I love the A340; fantastic plane.
Loved the 747....fly by
All of DNHUG's videos are Must See's I love every one, he makes me jealous that I am not a pilot...but at least I can see true approaches and not crap from Amateurs.
5:00 yeah, you wouldn't want to bump into another Van Zanten.
top shelf video. thank you.
Great aircraft, pilot and a foggy day at LAX!!! Enjoyed very much!
Absolutely stunning! A must see for sure :)
Beautiful machine, beautiful landing...beautiful Video!!! Thanks very much!
The view of the landing was nice, but the view of the KLM jumbo taking off was even nicer.
awwwsum......pleased the 340 waited for the KLM 747 to take off :)
Cool video! Watching the KLM taking off from the seat in the cockpit of the A340 was neat too!
Thumbs up for the queen of the skies KLM 747
Very Nice!! Loved the clarity and stability of the camera. Nothing beats a neat aviation video. Keep it up!!
Thanks for bringing us the beauty of the earth and sky! Keep up the good work!!

Landing smooth as butter
Thanks! Nice video. I love cockpit takeoffs and landings.
Nice video, I love watching landings and take offs from the cockpit.
Its so strange that whenever you descend through clouds, it gets bumpy. Cloudy visability out there! Nice video!
what a great video from the cockpit.

Beautiful landing. It was very satisfying just to watch
That was great, the view out the Cockpit is great. LAX is busy.

The LA Theme Building Arches are way at the beginning of the runway in this one.
Awesome video. I hope to be in your seat one day. It's the best job in the world.

That place is HUGE !
Love the flying dash cams
Vielen Dank för video :D

You should show more of the gauges and stuff! Love L.A though :)
Nonstop Dan did you comment this before you got big or something
Olá Amigos !! Primeira vez que vejo uma aterrissagem filmada de dentro da cabine ! Belo trabalho em compartilhar com todos.Abraço
Great video. I love these views from the best seat in the house. Thank you, and I'm subscribing.
Interesting video. It must be so fun to be an airline pilot.

Cooles Vid! LX 40 - einer meiner beiden "Stammflüge" wenn's in die alljährlichen USA-Ferien geht. Die riesigen Suburbs sind faszinierend von oben.
Nice landing
great video of the runway and landing! You got a good noseview seat there!
real amazing vídeo, congratulations from Brazil.
Thanks for sharing that cloudy landing! I guess it had to be windy on that one.
Happy landings!
Andrew
This is really impressive! How can u guys land a beast like this that easy :D
I have been to LAX sometime back but of
course never been able to enjoy the sky view of the Airport. Thanks a lot! Is this the same Tom Bradley Int"National Air Port? We were staying in Culver city near Cedar Park.
Awesome video!
Thanks Rob!
Awesome quality :) Are you a pilot?
Hi, very nice video! Who can explain me why did they tow it into the stand? Thanks
Don't really know, haven't seen that before. The A340 is a large plane and the gates might have been small and tight with other planes on both sides, so it might have been easier to tow it in...
The ramp area at LAX is pretty confined and the jetblast could pose a problem for groundcrews or equipment behind the moving airplane.
They came in on 24R. I remember back when they allowed small planes to use that runway before they had that addition to the airport.
I love how they park him in that zone and whoosh the 747 goes by.
That Xmas hat though. :D
i love watching heavies like this in the park with some in n out burger...great vid!
Uffda!! What a firm landing
Bro, I love it!!!! I really like people like you for uploading videos like that! Btw, amazing video!! Hope you upload more! Cheers from Europe :)
