All those who are regretting about not doing any such productive thing in life. Remember, never expect that you should do anything by any age. There is nothing wrong if you haven't fulfilled your dreams yet. You are never too late to learn and grow. Always gather positive qualities from others and never compare yourself. Everyone has their own timeline. Go at your own pace! Wishing success and happiness to whosoever is reading this.
Wow... thank you for putting these words here. I was this close to feel ashamed as someone from the STEM fields. I am going at my pace. And yeah I learned a lot from her. Such an interesting character and a blessing to the world.
You know what when we watch someone so young almost of our age to do such a great job, we always compare ourselves ( we don't need anyone else to do that) with them and think," What did i do? Just nothing ( comparable to them) . I ain't even a brilliant student too. Still sitting with books just to get masks , so that in future i might get a job". Then comes people like who atleast make us remember that we shouldn't compare ourselves to someone else. And believe me literally speaking then i start to think about me in a different way and thinking of me as a unique person. But still i think that we never stop doing so. Whenever we again see someone so great at a young age , we regret and think ," If we were also born like them! " ( Just tried to share my feelings)
Wow, just wow!!!!Absolutely amazing, innocent, highly intelligent, kind hearted, humble, adorable angelic girl!!!!!!!!!!!! So proud of her!!! - an Indian girl.
Wow, how things have changed. A 15 year kid can do so much at young age. Thanks to Internet, parents and above all United states of America. You can never imagine such things in India.
I disagree with you. There are many talented kids in India and they have teachers and parents who might have encouraged to sharpen their intellect. The only issue is that they don't have an online presence. So. Maybe we can improve on that...
My father was sick from this water 5 times... He died last year. Thank the young lady for trying... For so many people it is too late. We need to learn how to walk in her shoes.
Yeah never heard a better lie in the world. Waterborne dieseases only happen once if not cured , the fact that your father caught this disease 5 times means that he was a superhuman
@@glukoto8116 They lived in Grand Blanc. He contracted some form of waterborne illness that caused him to have encephalitis, vomiting and fever. During that time he also suffered three strokes and had a constant skin infection. It is not a lie. He died last year on August 31st. Search for George Bozik obituary.

@@glukoto8116 You do not have to "trick" people into telling you. I would have gladly told you outright had you asked. I simply clarified because it comes off as being pretty insensitive and if you are studying it you will be talking to people with pain and loss so I merely suggest you employ empathy as you embark upon that mission. I am not perfect either.. I am not upset and I just hope you glean something useful from everything. Best of luck.
Amazing. It was not about her innovation, her solution but aspiring people to go on each one teach one to become problem solver, innovator to solve people's problem. Simply superb
What an inspiration at 12 years old tackling access to clean water and lead poisoning! We at NSTEM are continually encouraging young children to study and get engaged in STEM fields (Science, technology, engineering and math). Thanks for posting this amazing video!
I really love her speaking skills she speaks so fluently. she is from America so she invent but in India her age group children engaged in studies only.who agree?
It is not science it's technology. An engineer innovates. Scientists research and derive secrets of Cosmos which are used by the technology (engineers). I can't say anything about scientist but she would be a very very awesome engineer. Loved your innovation. Congratulations Di👏👏👏👏👏
Got the chance to talk to her. She's in the MIT! Humble, and really smart! You wouldn't realise how much she has achieved in life unless you search for it, because she behaves just like any one of us.
Admire the confidence and conviction with which Gitanjali Rao speaks. Her understanding of the subject shows what high quality education can do for newer generations. Policy makers in India n other developing countries ought to take inspiration from this talk, both for the solutions Gitanjali spoke of to improve water quality, and to overhaul the rotten education system India n many other developing countries have.
People rather than commenting words that make yourself weak, get inspired from her and strategise your discipline and work-ethic towards the end encompassing for instance:-social responsibility or noble research etc.
Her device is great and it is also the perfect mix of science and technology. We think about future when we became older but just like her many many Scientists think about the future when they are younger just like her to save man kind
I just wish her All the best and success in whatever goal she is going to do. All I want to say there are people who miss use her invention and these days they are attacking scientists like criminals as they grow up and reach further higher up . So be careful kiddo. Watch your back ! Recently how many scientists have been murdered or took them to jail , it is a scary world out there. Feel so proud of her achievements and and all around champ ! Be safe.
I'm so inspiring, hearing this girl She's brilliant idea for this world And should be some invent by everyone for making a healthy environment 😊 Happy environment day Save 🌲 save your healthy life
Feels so much pride to witness this child prodigy with such an exceptional and novel science model to tackle such a base-root issue of water quality standards
Gitanjali, internationally, inspiring child scientist, God Almighty Bless you and all such who are incessantly devoted to making human, animals and environmental lives safe from contamination’s and destructions. All the Government and other Authorities, in India & Globally, to every common man / Citizens, hold the responsibilities to keep upto all safety standards.
when is the world going to realise we have the same potential as her to solve problems of the world.....help each other and watch how fast problems disappear......stop wasting time on entertainment....wake up everyone......never donate money..... only donate knowledge, blood, shelter, water,food.....God is within us, never cause harm to anyone
Question: what are her parents jobs ? In sports, we have parents who educate theirs children from childhood to become high level athletes (Williamns sisters), we have also helicopter parents in academic fields...It could be very profitable for parents to put forward their child to catch light about their own research ideas...Kids and kitten are the best things ever created to bewitch people.
Instead of I , she should be saying we since most of the discoveries are not only done by her. It also teach her to appreciate other people rather than feeling I am only the talented here. She brilliantly did her job and wow!

She is one of them.
You are right
Oh my god. Melting with joy.
She must have been working on this since her past life. Because doing it in 12 years seems impossible for me doing it.
We dont have education like she did
The science already exists. That's how testing is done in a lab. She just packaged it for home sale. So!!!
Wow, she has easily said all the estimation without any hesitation, I am really surprised of her ability.
I wanna know her parents who raised her well.
I love her speaking capacity rather than her discovery
You are making difference and u did it already ❤

So here is the answer..why she is 'Kid of the year'😇.
She was given better education than average people , this is the sole reason
@lostarz bruh nobody is a born genius she is just talking nothing is being implemented
