Glad you did not fast forward this video while in washing and lather up mode, i watched other videos where they washed (lathered up) real slow, I wanted to SCRUB (if you will) and to see it being done before i start mine.to get a good job cleaning the hair..I'm starting my project today, lost our horse 3 weeks ago..I'm also thinking to rewash the area where the rubber band was , putting the rubber band at a different spot to get ALL the hair washed throughly..I actually was wondering if the hair could be washed just the same without using a rubber band at all. Im new to this...very good video, thanks for sharing
Can I safely soak in vinegar to remove decomp smell? My horse passed while I was on the opposite side of the country and the people caring for him while I was gone didn’t tell me until I returned 10 days later. I was able to get a little hair off of him but it’s matted and smells awful. Hoping I can save it as it’s all I have left of him.

What about de-tangling? Would you run a comb or brush through it while it’s still wet and easy to de-tangle?
I don't brush or comb it at all to work with it, I let it dry completely and then divide as I need with no issues.
Angela King oh okay, thank you!

Did you ever find a solution? I have tried washing my horse's that passed and it still smells.
Is the hair cut off from the horse's tail or pulled off please?
Cut
