- Hey everyone, I took the DJI MINI SE out in some HIGH WINDS today... and it did okay!
Hey! My name is Corey and I am coming at you out of Wellington, New Zealand. I am a photo enthusiast and I do some pro work like real estate and weddings. I used to paint and sketch but I thought it would be easier to simply snap pictures than to paint them. How wrong was I? This photography lark is a tricky business getting it right, but is an awesome buzz all the same!

Thank you so much for this video. I ordered a Mini SE and my main concern was how it would do in the wind. All the other videos I found, barely demonstrated it's capabilities. I Just bought my mini 2 se and I was scared to fly in 7mph wind. This video is def a sigh of relief.
I used to walk up there nearly every day I lived right behind it, gets so damn windy up there nice job.

that little SE put up a great fight . big props to DJI ,
that gimble done an awesome job of stabilising . great test both stability videography and durability . cool crash too .
great scenery and sun beam in there also looked wicked . super windy in nelson today too so chose not to fly mine . thanks man
Cheers man, yeah it was pretty good, I kept it low and tight otherwise at higher altitude it was much more gusty! Well it’s heavy rain here now so no chance to fly today. I think we’re expecting a storm

Haha yes so true, must admit not a breath of wind today and looks like we’ll have a still weekend, might be good to get out flying!

Hahaha thanks a lot for that I appreciate it, kept it pretty safe so probably could have been more legend haha maybe next time.
About a month ago I went out in 25 mph winds over a mile into a swamp, no issues but the Strong Wind Warning was going off most of the time. Today it went out 1965 meters out into the swamp, no wind, I use Yagi parabolics. I can't believe what this little thing can do, the videos are incredible.
Wow that is awesome, I wish it had more range but some days it is really great and also a surprise, I like it for the price because it’s no so expensive yet does a great job for what it is.
@@TheOtherPhotoGuy the difference between the Mavic Mini and the Mini SE is the SE has the same body as the Mini 2 which has flow through ventilation; this improved the wind resistance rating from 3 to 5. DJI probably did this after alot of Mavic Minis were crashed and returned and had insurance. In the US and Canada we have the FCC version of the Mini SE which has a further range than the versions sold in Europe and Japan; not sure what version is sold in NZ, would depend on aviation regulations there.
Oh man, me and Thomas watched this one together, loved it! The crash cracked me up man that was hilarious, exactly at the moment I was saying you were a really good drone pilot 🤣 And then the camera! We were like “OH NO!!” 😳 Great video mate!

Hey mate thanks heaps for the sub but you’ve caught me out on the first comment, I had my wind speed gauge but the battery was dead all the luck - what I do know is that if it’s ever that windy where I go to the drone, I’ll be headed straight back home, but the judge of common sense it was really really strong - I was surprised the SE managed so well actually but I am sorry I don’t have the numbers for you. Hey thanks again and hope to hear from you again!
Thanks again for the great video and the response. I was just in Kauai and the wind was howling and was afraid to take the thing about 30 feet. Wind speed was around 23 mph and gusts to 31mph.
