Definitely. I believe some people had wooden ones that were hollowed out and filled with lead during times when it was more common to carry a walking stick.
There are self defense canes sold widely. They are of course primarily medical devices and in the US at least, if you carry one no one is allowed to ask you what condition you use it to mitigate. There are classes available in which to learn to use them. There are videos ON THIS PLATFORM which cover many of the basics. Check your local laws of course, but pretty much worldwide a cane is recognized as a medical device.
Imagine a person who fully committed and whenever they left their house they were in full Jedi getup and carried around one of those for self defense 🤣
I dont care how long your videos are - I'm watching them. Your 8 minute vids and your 30 minute vids are great. I think that if something made the final cut, its worth watching.
These are the life saving skills you need to know if you're stranded on a deserted tropical island and all you have is your neopixel lightsaber and a bunch of coconuts.
This is what I would describe as a pole-mace. This would be especially true for sabers with hilts like Darth Vader's saber, a cross guard, and or with something close to a pommel.
In the EU there’s a prequel era Jedi that purposefully grabs the “blade” of a training lightsaber (“only” minor burns and a lot of pain) during a test. It’s acknowledged as something that only works in the artificial conditions of such a test, but still demonstrated resourcefulness and cunning for order to treat her victory through this as valid. Unfortunately Karen Travis later got her hands on the character and ruined her.
I think a great item from the Star Wars movies for self-defense would be the electric spears used by General Grieves' droids, they are literally stun guns mounted on staffs that can be used in open spaces. especially with more than one attacker. and if in a given country an ordinary civilian can't use a stun gun, well, he still has a big metal cane that no one would want to get hit
Sad that real implements of defense are still so limited over there, but congrats on discovering a covert mace! Now that I would feel the need to respect.
Use a Lightsaber like Darth Malgus's that's shaped like a sort of axe & is even sharpened. Or maybe Darth Revan's because it's kinda shaped like a flanged mace would
After hitting things with the handle a dozen times will the lightsaber still work normally, or will all those physical shocks harm the electronics or wiring?
My face when I carried a 7 foot wooden shaft Billhook and 42in Sharp longsword while recording and hiking in the woods. Happy Independence Day to Muricans.
If they can make lights go all the way up inside the blade, can they make speakers go all the way up too? A realistic-looking AND sounding lightsaber would be next level!
im waiting for you to talk about the Arasaka Mantis Blade's from cyberpunk 2077 cus like... I LOVE THE CONCEPT!... but are they practical? also they just look awesome and im sure they would be a cool art peice somewhere for your collection XD
I’ve done abusive lightsaber testing on several companies’ lightsabers, Black Series, Ultra Sabers, and others but not N Sabers. I’m curious. Did the internal electronics survive? Does it still light up, make sounds, etc.?
For the record, a coconut is harder than a human head, so I would only recommend wielding it this way if you really don't have any other option. The purpose of martial arts is to not use it. 99 times out of a hundred, you have the choice to walk away. In fact, there is a 99% chance that you will never have to use violence in your life, regardless of where you live, and that is a very beautiful thing. I've only thrown one punch in my life, yet I won both of the two fights I've been in. Even if you're "in a fight", you may not even need to use violence to win.
I’m replying not because I want to call you out or anything but a lot of what you said simply isn’t correct , avoiding conflict simply isn’t always an option growing up in rough areas fights can break out from literally looking at the wrong person. Not to mention crack heads , drunks and criminals I would generally agree these are a lesser concern in rural areas but in suburban and city areas first world or not walking away simply isn’t an option as much as you think ,People who want to harm you don’t need a reason , sadly I’ve been in more Fights than I would like you don’t have to throw the first punch but you better be ready to defend yourself and as for the last point if you are in a fight by definition that is violence. But thanks for watching man 👍🏼

For self defense in Non 'Murica, I think Gandalf had the right idea: "You would not part an old man from his walking stick 😉"
Definitely. I believe some people had wooden ones that were hollowed out and filled with lead during times when it was more common to carry a walking stick.

@lonelystrategos the Irish did this while they were under British rule. Its called a shillelagh
That first coconut really said it all
Every episode I watch I always say "I wouldn't want to get hit with that"
Just imagine if you were using a Disney style lightsaber handle. It would have about ten times as much metal!
Yes so large you wouldn’t even want to use it as a handle just as a club
@@ScreenTestedThis has always been my problem with lightsabers. No sword in history has had such a fat hilt.
Actual screen used lightsabers (prequels ) were much thinner and stunt sabers around 33-34mm
This kinda just makes me realize how useful throwing rocks with the force would be.
Slingshots are still powerful for a reason :)
Imagine a person who fully committed and whenever they left their house they were in full Jedi getup and carried around one of those for self defense 🤣
Protecting Peace , Freedom and democracy in your local area today
Bring balance to the neighborhood.
Never leave my house without my Vektra 😎
Polycarbonate or fiberglass haft vs wood would be interesting to explore.
I had the same thought. Especially after the polycarbonate sword ended up being essentially an axe.
I dont care how long your videos are - I'm watching them. Your 8 minute vids and your 30 minute vids are great. I think that if something made the final cut, its worth watching.
Next weeks episode is a longer one as I know the last couple have been shorter 👍🏼
@@ScreenTestedThat's what She said 😉

With a fedora and lightsaber at your side your ready for everything
@ScreenTested while you were out making a raft, I was mastering the lightsaber!
This is what I would describe as a pole-mace. This would be especially true for sabers with hilts like Darth Vader's saber, a cross guard, and or with something close to a pommel.
Where was Gondor when the West Fold fell!
Nate & Oz, when the Shadlands fell.
I like the intriguing title and i am curious to find out why i am a bad jedi :)
2:50 slapped the spit right out his mouth.
That guy that got arrested for the Master Sword needs to check out this video! Lol

After seeing what they do in Disney Barf Wars, this seems truly lethal.
This definitely feels like a part 2. The first one was a banger but this was a definite knockout.
In before Disney does this in the next Star Wars show/movie cuz why the hell not.
I just imagine everytime Tyranth goes to the grocery store "Ahhhh the lightsaber guy is back. Better go grab a crate of coconuts out the back."
Here is the usual support for channel growth.
Sad that real implements of defense are still so limited over there, but congrats on discovering a covert mace!
Now that I would feel the need to respect.
So many jedis would have lived if they knew this knowledge 😔
Great stuff Tyranth.
Half-Swording a Lightsaber?
Is it possible to learn this power?
Not from a Jedi
I'm just saying holy cow the construction of such an object is hard to wrap my head around.
Damn the Jedi been holding back on us.
I can honestly say if Tyranth hits a fellow with an aluminum hilt. That will definitely vibe check them and realign their chakra.
Finally got to this today, and I love it. Once you got to the coconut, glorious. Lol. Your reactions are so great. 😂
Episode 1: The Blade Menace
Episode 2: Attack of the Hilt
Episode 3: Revenge of the Coconut?
Sword-baton-cane?
Tyranth, do a video on the feasibility of anchors as melee weapons
Imagine what that thing would do to your coconut after seeing what it did to that coconut. That's nuts.
Now if only Tyranth had tried to switch on the lightsaber after striking the second coconut. If it worked, THAT would be an exceptional endorsement!
Tyranth, you need some Beskar gloves.
So uncivilized.
:D
Use a Lightsaber like Darth Malgus's that's shaped like a sort of axe & is even sharpened. Or maybe Darth Revan's because it's kinda shaped like a flanged mace would
Not gonna lie I thought these would be worthless as self defense weapons but I’m impressed with how well the hilts held up to the abuse.
I wouldn’t say they would be a first choice but if it’s your only choice at least it won’t suck
After hitting things with the handle a dozen times will the lightsaber still work normally, or will all those physical shocks harm the electronics or wiring?
Hey you took my suggestion 😮
Having some catching up to do with your videos. Binging time. Musical greetings from Belgium, Gunther (singer and lyrics writer of Gabriel Scar)

My Immersion...
If they can make lights go all the way up inside the blade, can they make speakers go all the way up too? A realistic-looking AND sounding lightsaber would be next level!
Been doing that for.years
the video has wayyy to much saturation
STICK !
I carry a lightsaber for home defence just as the founding fathers intended
im waiting for you to talk about the Arasaka Mantis Blade's from cyberpunk 2077
cus like... I LOVE THE CONCEPT!... but are they practical?
also they just look awesome and im sure they would be a cool art peice somewhere for your collection
XD
This feels like a shitpost.
lightmace
Underrated comment.
i would really be interested to se what you think about star wars theories lightsaber and if you would possible do an reviwe over those.
but can you break a coconut by throwing it
. 7:05 You'll get demonetized for popping Zombie heads?
I’ve done abusive lightsaber testing on several companies’ lightsabers, Black Series, Ultra Sabers, and others but not N Sabers. I’m curious. Did the internal electronics survive? Does it still light up, make sounds, etc.?
The saber used in testing was a normal stunt saber from the first episode not N saber thought that was clear My bad 👍🏼
Been waiting for this video. This cracking bones lol

wow those prices on Nsabers arent bad. I might get one in the future. sadly not enough atm though.
If only Mace Windu swung his lightsaber like a mace just as you did, wearing Cortosis gauntlets for protection of course!
That would be true unlimited power
5:17 Suddenly Jecki's pommel strike breaking the cortosis helmet doesn't seem so crazy. 6:00 See lol. (I'm joking and I still hate Acolyte)
