+Trevor Bowman incredible actually. i like rob but his vocals are bad..so are kirks. just listen to harvester of sorrow live. " language of the mad " it sounds bad
Until it Sleeps should replace Nothing Else Matters in their setlists. If you can include Fuel and/or Memory Remains, then there's no reason you shouldn't include something like Until it Sleeps or Wasting My Hate
@@SergioHernandez-zv5wc Nope, James most definitely still can, and Jasons vocals were more of an added for fun thing on this song live since he never had backing or doubled vocals in studio. The big reason is because the crowd typically doesn’t give it that energetic response they usually like to see while playing, and also Lars just doesn’t have a ride cymbal anymore. This is why almost no Load or Reload songs get played
@@mrchristian0457 for me Jason wins best live performances, his aggression was something to ponder and just feel. No disrespect towards Rob and Cliff but they don't compare live, Cliff was in his own world headbanging, Robert is a lot more energetic and enthusiastic, But Jason wore his passion on his sleeve and gave them their best years.
Whenever I listen to that song, or Bleeding Me or No Leaf Clover, I find myself thinking ' this world wouldn't be the same place without these four men.'
The world will never know what Metallica would have been with Cliff but Jason made them the band everyone knows. He was an outcast and maybe one day James ego will come full circle and realize Jason made them who they are.
@@DSS-tp7ee He may already realise, but keep up an image externally of thinking otherwise. It's hard to say, but at least now they do appreciate him far better than they used to, at least publically.
you cannot deny James 's vocals on this are just off the planet amazing, the whole concert is one of the best things I have ever seen or likely to see, metallica at the top of their game, pure and simply fuckin ledgends
A huge void was created when Jason left. They’re still unbelievable live but Jason leaving you will never replace him. Robert is good but Jason was the lucky fan who lived the ultimate dream!
Funny that you're talking about wanting to download this since the studio version of this song is the very first song ever to be illegally downloaded through the internet.
the band on the peak for me, voices, instrumental sound, energy. they did not get any better since then. and once more i recognize that jason just "breathed" metallica
Tbh people change and so has metallica this is one of my favourite eras and the 80s and the black ablum tour I still love them to this day and nobody can change that
I’ve grown up with all 3 eras of Metallica and the Load/Reload era into St. Anger is so underrated that it’s not even funny! Every Era of Metallica has songs that people can relate with whether it be thru the instruments or the lyrics! Metallica hasn’t just changed, they have Lead multiple musical movements over 40 years! In 1990 Metallica literally changed Heavy Metal and it’s 10 min epics into 4 minute get to the point songs! Scott Ian from Anthrax was 1 of the 1st to acknowledge that the Black Album Changed Heavy Music! That’s a Badge of Honor right there!
3:31 turning up the distortion+speeding up the tempo for the last chorus run=epic. It was hard for this song to grow on me until I heard the live version.
My favourite concert followed by shit binge, nothing else matters in Cunning stunts imo is the best they ever sang it Harvester Moscow and the unforgiven first time the world heard it Jason was so sinister, really miss him What a fucking madman he was so much energy and passion Blessed to have the technology to be able to watch footage like this for a lifetime Imagine the day James leaves this world, Metallica will be heard from our neighbouring galaxies, such an amazing diverse band 🤘🏻
wonderful song...the losrs hate it because they dont understand it. james talks about losing his mom but " the elite metal " fan wants songs about dungeons and dragons/the devil.
michael andrews I love this song, but you are an idiot. People hate it because it's not typical Metallica, this feels like a different band, and the excuse that they are haters is retarded, they just don't like the style, and I don't blame them, it's very different than the usual Metallica
Dicen que la competencia le hace bien al negocio en este video se ve competir a Jason y a James como dos " machos alfa" por el liderazgo , el resultado del producto fue magnífico 😍
Jason and James harmonizing is fucking amazing
I agree, metallica needs a backup vocalist like him again.
+Trevor Bowman incredible actually. i like rob but his vocals are bad..so are kirks. just listen to harvester of sorrow live. " language of the mad " it sounds bad
And in Seattle 1989 with Jason it was so fucking awesome
Robs vocals are fucking terrible.
Jason was the perfect fit for Metallica. Heavy grit and killer attitude. Too bad they didn't treated him well
underrated. one of their best songs
+gonzalo pardo-figueroa this song is from justice times...thats why so coooool)
+Бондаренко Денис Ammmm nop, This is from Load/Reload Era
Ax chOcolatin nope, song was written during justice tour, took from het. interview

finally someone. totally agree with this.
JASON + JAMES= BEST VOCAL DUO
Jerry and Layne give them a run for their money
@@loiteringrambler2928 yeah
@@loiteringrambler2928 me personally i’d say layne and jerry had a better harmony but jason and james were almost as good
Daron+Serj
@@Max-qy7pq lol no
They should play this more often, it's one of their best songs...
metalhead you can't without Jason. His backing vocals make this a much more powerful song. Plus James probably can't get the same growl
They played it couple of times back in 2008, it sounded ok, not as good as with Jason on the backing vocal but it was cool...
Until it Sleeps should replace Nothing Else Matters in their setlists. If you can include Fuel and/or Memory Remains, then there's no reason you shouldn't include something like Until it Sleeps or Wasting My Hate

Well, they played it this night!
Jason's vocals are so much win, fantastic
2:34 the growling "IT HATES YOU!!" with James in front, with Jason in back gave me chills!
Jason + james vocals on "one" 1989-91 or so are insane, heavier than any death metal vocals.
Literally exactly what I was thinking
fucking insane
How I love the duet of James & Jason's vocals
v back vocalax on luchshe trujilo :) namnogo luchshe
согласен, а соло какое, заметь, и заметь они пока ещё молоды, и самый лучший мужской возраст - прям прёт , прям прёт

The title is wrong... this show was called "Stunning Cunts".
yeah dude its correct :)
I love Jason’s vocals.
Same. Cliff was a really good backup vocalist too. I think Cliff and Jason are both great.
MD2265 No offense to Rob, but I wish Jason was still in the band. Though, I also wish Cliff was still alive, who doesn’t though?

Perfect for backing vocals only :)
Jason’s vocals here show how important he was for the band. So powerful.
Don't forget his powerful bass playing too!!! 🤟🏼

+Sandman5324 It gets me all the time.
+Sandman5324 That's Jason's deathmetal vocal.
Jason Newsted have a maximum ass fucking heavy metal voice.
Jason Newsted all the way for me.
2:35 "IT HATES YOU" with the best camera capture of Jason and James.
you cannot deny James 's vocals on this are just off the planet amazing, the whole concert is one of the best things I have ever seen or likely to see, metallica at the top of their game, pure and simply fuckin ledgends
David Driscoll *Metallica fan furiously jerking off to Seattle 89
"Wait there are other good Metallica concerts?"
David Driscoll you can't forget jason he was a big driving force behind those guys too.
Jason Newsted is the greathest back vocal of all time of any music period...
watching this again after 15 years, I'm now convinced that Jason really really needs to come back. Rob, he's amazing, but I need this in my ear.
4:02 till the end give me goosebumps... Jason Newsted you rock!
This was Metallica in their prime. Wish Jason never left. Vastly underrated song. It has tremendous power.
A huge void was created when Jason left. They’re still unbelievable live but Jason leaving you will never replace him. Robert is good but Jason was the lucky fan who lived the ultimate dream!
Jason back up vocals mesh freakishly good with James...
These two voices together...
Personally this is my favorite version of this song, needs to be available to download
I agree!
RUclips to MP3
Funny that you're talking about wanting to download this since the studio version of this song is the very first song ever to be illegally downloaded through the internet.
RUclips Music 👌🏼
nope the best version of this song is live in las vegas 1999 with the orchestra
Jason´s vocals are incredible.
The grungiest thing Metallica has ever wrote. I love it
I love organic shots like 3:31 when the camera goes from Lars to Kirk without any cuts involved. The camera team should do this more often imo.
In XXI century even camera shots are organic...
The fact of Jason sound
Dude Jason's harmonies are fucking perfect. Sounds amazing.
James's and Jason's vocals are peanut butter and goddamned jelly.
crunchy peanut butter
Oh my goodness Jason’s backing vocals give me chills with that low growl holy smoke lol I love it Jason is awesome
How beautiful Jason’s add to the song!!!
James hetfield is one of my favorite singers ever but Jason Newsted's backup vocals kick ass and bring this amazing song to another level.
everything is so harmonised it's too good just.. chills.
2:36 Now that's anger!
I swear people sleep on this song. One of their best.
And Jason for all....🤜🤛🤘
Jason needs to make appearances so they can play these songs again. His backing vocals is perfect.
the best live performance for this song(my opinion)James and Jason are fucking awesome. They both together make a super vocal
the band on the peak for me, voices, instrumental sound, energy. they did not get any better since then. and once more i recognize that jason just "breathed" metallica
Jason’s backup vocals are absolutely fucking spot on in this song
This is better than the original one
GodDAMN Jason was so good in this band. His vocals added SO much to the sound.
Underrated song
Jason was perfect on backup vocals
2:47 the entire solo section gives me goosebumps every time, especially the “I don’t want it” part
James does great backing vocals on this... 😁
And you say load is not a good album. :)
Seru smećari
I think it's a good album, I just don't like the most of songs. But I like Until It Sleeps, King Nothing, Mama Said.
At least its not st. Anger
Angeline Barrozo exactly
Dušan Mitrović It’s still not good
james has top of his voice , great one of the best songs ever
miss Jason
James+jason voices are apocaliptic 😍
They played this masterpiece in Amsterdam in April 2023. Unreal experience!
Amazing night
26 years ago they played it better.
Jaymz and Jason were like metal Lennon and McCartney.
I agree with you.
The Spirit of Lennon/McCartney in them.
Until It Sleeps is in my top 5. Give this song some respect, haters!
Damn !! Jason took away Metallica's spirit when he left
Jason come back finally! 😢
I love this Cunning Stunts version ! So powerful!
God bless you Jason Newsted
Jason harmonising anytime
I began looking Metallica because of this song way back in the late 90's...
Jason was so much helpful in that band
Best version
Jason Newsted Forever
2:24 "until I'm cle-sleeps" lol
This song is everything to me. I love this guys; I like Rob, but Jason was amazing too!
Thats the Coolest version of Kirk !
Different kirk
Better tham MJ Kirk lol
Agreed always has good styles
I actually think this is one of the best songs from load/ reload era.
Best live version of Until It Sleeps
Insane vocals!!
The underrating is strong with this one. A really great song.

Been a Metallica fan since 83. When this album came out, I was a little disappointed...until THIS song gripped me so bad. Fucking powerhouse tune.
I've been Metallica fan since 1981. Like it or not, this kicks ASS!
The it grips you-part with both Jason and James is so powerful. I sure miss Jason
This is better than the original version, sounds more powerful, there is some jazzy tunes too on this song that I love
although their first 5 albums were their foundation, they still are making good stuff. Perhaps the best frontman in metal.
S&M 2 Fucking Kicks ASS.!!!
This song sounds so good played live😮
3:31 turning up the distortion+speeding up the tempo for the last chorus run=epic. It was hard for this song to grow on me until I heard the live version.
This is just different variation of this riff with the same tempo.
Got to see them last month, now i can die in peace
Black oak arkansas
Got to see 3 of them...
i feel like this was the best era to see them live. so many great songs they played. they barely play this anymore
i can't stop listening to this, and i'm not sure why...
My favourite concert followed by shit binge, nothing else matters in Cunning stunts imo is the best they ever sang it

James por siempre, amo este tema.
Great song. It's definatelly one of their best songs of all time :)
Jason Newsted all the way---------.
wonderful song...the losrs hate it because they dont understand it. james talks about losing his mom but " the elite metal " fan wants songs about dungeons and dragons/the devil.
His father died from cancer too. I guess this also influenced him when he wrote it
yes i know..this song is awesome. they play more stuff from load. not a big of reload

This bass line is truly haunting
Very good chorus and 2nd voices of Jason
this defnitly one of metallicas best live recordings like the early and justice for all live concerts
Jason's vocals 👊🏼

one of the best songs of metallica

Jason backup voice superbb.............
The best line was james singing and the hate still shapes me by himself. That line gets me everytime
Epic performance.
