Yeah mediatek is more powerfull compare to snapdragon now... I also use helio p60 and i compare it to the same entry of snapdragon, helio is very good in performance and battery efficiency compare to snapdragon 821
The reason I mostly go for SNAPDRAGON variants is because of the lengthy support it gets and XDA devs lot to tinker around with them. You get what you pay for with a SD SoC, less issues if ever there was one there will be a solution like the infamous SD 810 overheating debacle of years back now Qualcomm has been doing well balancing performance and heat.
Kung paglalabanin mo SD vs MT it should handset with the same price. Kasi un napapanod ko is they pitting a 7-8k snapdragon phone against a 4k-5k mediatek phone. It should be SD phone vs MT phone na same lng un price.
Snapdragons are the best when comes to gaming... 🔥 Bionic chipsets on the otherhand are way more powerful than the SDs. Mediatek is not bad. But if you are on a low budget ,this might be better choice. 🤔
If the phone is powered by MediaTek, it doesn't indicate in the flyers, only the number of cores and clock frequency, para makabenta pa rin yung mga smartphone companies kasi alam na nila na basta MediaTek matik hindi na nila bibilihin.
Mediatek older SOC are quite bad. But right now they seem to know where they are lacking. It seems that the MEDIATEK'S "G" series is more powerful than SNAPDRAGON's SOC in entry to medium range smartphone.
If entry level phone naman good for 1-2 years and looking for better performance for gaming (not saying na di nagtatagal ang mediatek processor my statements are only base on our experiences) mag mediatek kana. Kung mag mediatek kayo diko recommend na mag a-series o p-series dun na kayo sa g-series , the g series is built pang gaming so it should be more enhanced than there other series madami na ngayon ang cheap phone na naka g series patusin nio na kung ako sa inyo. My statement is only base on experience may nagamit kaming mediatek phone na nasira by software at meron naman snapdragon nasira physically.

Still don't think 99% of users truly care about what processor is inside their phone so long as it functions. Interesting to hear the differences though between the two. Just purchased the t-mobile LG Velvet and it is powered with the Dimensity 1000 inside it. Device functions completely fine thus far.
Mediatek is not making flagship SoCs anymore. Their last was the 10-core X30 back in 2016/17. It is focusing on the low and mid-range nowadays. Their latest G90T is the closest SoC that Mediatek have to a flagship, with focus on gaming hence the G naming scheme.
Qualcom - is more expensive than phone using Mediatek - lower price that's why "Phone" using this Chipset are more budget friendly ------------------- Q - the updates not problem, can handle more applications that make heat faster but good pair at snapdragon, M - the updates is problem, using more basics specs & less heat on Chipset
I bought a mediatek phone and I regret it until now. Even tho the score in antutu might be the same, the performance is bad. An old snapdragon chip can easily outclass a new mediatek chip. Nowadays just buy the best phone available in the market that's value for money for a long run. The smartphone race is getting out of control and it is best to wait for at least 2 or 3 years from now to buy a phone that is not half baked with latest tech. Always buy the branded ones that people can trust and never buy weird chinese brands such as Ulefone, Umidigi, Dodgee and etc.
Like what Joey said, Android chipset such as SD and MT are dependent on the design structures of ARM, they chipset companies that basically research what'd best for a phone that will he made for their chipset. Apple on the other hand doesn't have that problem. They simply just make one for an iPhone model and that's it... no other brands, no other designs, no other specs, no other chu chu. That's why you can say that the Apple chipset is the best since they are used only in their own models. However, on the other SD needs to be flexible for it to perform better on a specific brand/model of a smartphone
Well, generally SD is better than MTK. However, the price of MTK which is much lower making it is good on entry or lower midrange phones. I'm not really a fan of which is better because competition is good for consumers. I'm interested for the MTK G90 series

In terms of security, is it true that mediatek is more vulnerable in malware/virus/spy than snapdragon? I just saw a vid in YT that the Mediatek Helio P60 was vulnerable, does that mean even thier new G series is also crap at security?
In my own experience mali is my bet... It can load faster in games compare adreno... I try it always because i change my phone 2-3 times a month by swapping it in online selling in our local area... Try to play ros and it loads fast when i use mali gpu.. and even in mobile legends.. very fast to load compare to adreno... And it cost a slight difference in battery compare snapdragon.. when it comes in heating issue i think they are tie... But today mali is very good compare to snapdragon... I think they are more advance now compare to snapdragon...
Qualcomm has also a Code Aurora Forum or CAF codes.. is also use by Google for their Android phones design for gaming.. there is also custom roms that uses CAF codes that focuses on performance of the phone.. imagine a Poco F1 with a CAF based custom rom, it's performance almost at par of a Black Shark.

I think sa software optimization na rin sa camera, kasi you know oppo has a trademark in building great cameras, lalo na sa beauty mode.
Masrap gamitin oppo f11 pro kahit mahal
You put gcam in that mi 9T, you will get a lot of improvement.
Helio p60 is actually good.of course the adreno GPU are stronger but.
Yeah. I've been using it and it never heated while playing pubg even in charging.
Now I have a device with SD845 and it heats while playing pubg
@@AnupGupta92 yeah but the 845 is at least 60% faster, also is involve the cooling solution of the phone maker, for example the Pocophone has a dedicate cooling for its 845
@@jonnypena7651 yes. I have Poco. And it's great.
Yeah mediatek is more powerfull compare to snapdragon now... I also use helio p60 and i compare it to the same entry of snapdragon, helio is very good in performance and battery efficiency compare to snapdragon 821
My Phone is mediatek p60 and its not that bad but compare to SD its still has some disadvantages
kaya all high settings sa ml hehe
Compare realme 3 and 2 pro (they both cost the same) and the 2 pro with 660 performs better than the 3 with p60
For real
Finally! Someone gave a valid explanation on this, and it didn't take 7hrs! Thanks man! Great video
Kung paglalabanin mo SD vs MT it should handset with the same price. Kasi un napapanod ko is they pitting a 7-8k snapdragon phone against a 4k-5k mediatek phone. It should be SD phone vs MT phone na same lng un price.
Like realme 3 pro vs f11 pro? Lol. Laking difference.
Watch 3:50
Wala sa price yan.. Pano kung mi9t 16k sd 730 vs f11pro mdtk p70? Wala na gg na
@france kaye yan nanaman overpriced nanaman un SnapDragon 😂
Dapat realme 3 vs Redmi 7 un ang parehas 7k upon launch...
It's weird how intel left the mobile market early on
Again very help full video luv it! I prefer snap dragon base on my previous phone...
Finally someone who can explain this!
the vivo Y91 that I bought is running Qualcum Snapdragon 439. and some Y91 is running Mediatec, totally confusing
the 32gb variant run in qualcomm and 64gb variant run in mediatek procie
@@formyself7757 I see, now I know thanks

It is cheap for it's performance tho...
Masyadong overpriced yung f11 pro , mas ok pa kahit yung f11 lang walang motorized pop up camera same lang din nmn sila ng specs.
@@markdenielnantin3032 Overpriced na oppo at vivo ngayon, kahit mediatek p70 and up series nila mahal. Tsaka ayaw nila magtry ng snapdragon
Pocophone F1 Snapdragon 845.
Still don't think 99% of users truly care about what processor is inside their phone so long as it functions. Interesting to hear the differences though between the two. Just purchased the t-mobile LG Velvet and it is powered with the Dimensity 1000 inside it. Device functions completely fine thus far.
Mediatek is always a better choice in budget smartphones
Thank you for explaining it further..
My phone's processor is mediatek helio p90, I had the best gaming experience. Sobrang smooth. Di din sya mabilis uminit.
My Opinion
Apple>Snapdragon>Kirin>Exynos>Mediatek
nope apple >kirin>snapdragon>exynos>mediatek
Snapdragon>Apple>Exynos>Kirin>Mediatek.
Ung kirin 810 mas mabilis kea sa snapdragon 730. Base dun sa comparison ng Mi9t at Honor 9x
Snapdragon>apple>kirin>exynos>mediatek
apple exynos snap kirin mediatek
Qualcom - is more expensive than phone using
Mediatek - lower price that's why "Phone" using this Chipset are more budget friendly
-------------------
Q - the updates not problem, can handle more applications that make heat faster but good pair at snapdragon,
M - the updates is problem, using more basics specs & less heat on Chipset
Snapdragon🚩🚩 The king of Chipset
Qualcomm can just lower its price to kill off the competition. So why not? Why allow MediaTek to command the lower to mid-range segment?
I am still remain OUT of mediatek DEVICES as long as they didn't release SOURCE CODES for each of their SOC'S
Your wish has come true. MediaTek released the kernel sources for MediaTek Helio G90T and would do for others too in the future.
@@nitinyadav-uo8cw that's a good news! Maybe the developers will be make a developments like custom ROMs on my mtk based XIAOMI mi note 8 pro device

actually snapdragon has better performance and fastee than kirin and mediatech
I bought a mediatek phone and I regret it until now. Even tho the score in antutu might be the same, the performance is bad. An old snapdragon chip can easily outclass a new mediatek chip. Nowadays just buy the best phone available in the market that's value for money for a long run. The smartphone race is getting out of control and it is best to wait for at least 2 or 3 years from now to buy a phone that is not half baked with latest tech. Always buy the branded ones that people can trust and never buy weird chinese brands such as Ulefone, Umidigi, Dodgee and etc.
I agree.
Haha talking about ARM reminds me of one of my Tcom subjects in ECE
MediaTek also uses Headerless LZMA for copy protection and compression, which makes them total madlads
Apple's chipset is the best then the Snapdragon!❤ Although he didn't talk about Apple, I still love it. Snapdragon is super fast though!❤
Super optimized sa apple pero i wont say its the best
SD parin
Yeah. But for me, Apple's chipset is the best
For short SNAPDRAGON is better than MEDIATEK...
Than
SubCause You're Bored yeah....
Can you create a video about every chips commonly used on phones??
snapdragon=1 like
mediatek=1 dislike
this is very informative. thank you sir, now i know snapdragon is much more better than mediatek im planning to buy a new phone so this is very helpful for me.
It still depends on the model... the latest SD models are good for gaming. But comes with the price...
@@chrismardz1700 Yes, like those phones that have the SD 855 which somewhat expensive.. If it's not expensive then the materials used on the phone are cheap
Yes thats a good desicion.but it kinda price but its worth it give the performance what you want
Btw... I hope mediatek making 7nm 10core cpu
They did a 10nm 10 core CPU and was behind than 8 core counterparts even in multicore.
they already made 10 core cpu Mediatek Helio X23 20nm it warms very easily and the frame drop is ridiculous batterylife is trash too
So if you want phones for a cheaper price, go to mediatek. Makes sense... i am not a rich guy so i choose mediatek. Since we tend to replace our phone every1 or 2 years to follow the trend. Mediatek does a good one to be budget friendly.

Huawei HiSilicon Kirin vs Samsung Exynos or Apple chipset vs Snapdragon chipset
thankyouuuuu!
Performance wise? New generation MTK is not bad in terms of processing. The difference will be noticed on the gpu side as joey said. 🙂 Im using an SD though.
I been using my Infinix note 12 with mediatek Helio G96 for about 5hrs straight but never experience such heat and reducing battery charge faster
I thought Mediatek focuses on battery efficiency while Snapdragon on performance.
Snapdragon is the best no doubt still worth it to the price
Mediatek would be good for me, if all Android apps actually worked on it. Games like GTA sa don't work with mediatek, only the snapdragon line. I assume a good chunk of apps work like that.
its competition its gonna be better for us consumers If Only Snapdragon exist monopoly will happen
like what happend to INTEL VS AMD Intel dominate the CPU market resulting in few performance improvements over new architecture and Charging us consumers Premium price
as I said competition is always better for us consumers
AMD took Intel down with their 7nm Zen 2 Chips, comeback is real
Intel is too busy refreshing their 14nm+++++++++ node lmao while amd is pushing to 7nm and beyond, but still competition is always good for the consumer
Kirin vs mediatek.. They both used mali gpu but have different combinations of cores.. Plus tell us whats the difference between having a dedicated NPU in kirin chips vs mediatek in overall performance
So does Samsung Exynos
Qualcom more in focus performance.. Mediatek more in camera...
Myth
In terms of security, is it true that mediatek is more vulnerable in malware/virus/spy than snapdragon? I just saw a vid in YT that the Mediatek Helio P60 was vulnerable, does that mean even thier new G series is also crap at security?
Snapdragon has better software optimization and battery performance.

And it cost a slight difference in battery compare snapdragon.. when it comes in heating issue i think they are tie... But today mali is very good compare to snapdragon... I think they are more advance now compare to snapdragon...
Huh? I have reno 3 pro that uses the so called "MeDiAtEk HeLiO p95" and barely runs Call of duty mobile in 30 fps
So how did you say it?
Why Qualcomm snapdragon is the best?
Because of he is the only one have andreno GPU. The others have Mali GPu
of course QSD is the only one using the Adreno, cous they built. Im not a fan of MT but soon they will use latest PowerVR gpu.
This is why i always recommend xiaomi. They are cheap and use snapdragon chipsets.
