    Small post video/thought changes:
    1. Reflectella - Reflection direction is now dependent on where the player aims: Figure this is better designed in the long run.
    2. 2 ML Dualies - Endlag increase from 35 to 40 frames: since I think its a bit overtuned, this would mainly nerf the close range mode since its a better dapple but with much worse lag now rather then slightly worse.

I think the brella class is the one that needs a new weapon the most (along with the brushes). Since we only have one example for the bow, it is hard to known what another could look like as we do not yet know what trait we will find in every weapon of it’s class.
I also think we should get new grizzco weapons such as splatlings, dualies, and shooters (without forgetting bow) so the grizzco brella can finally be an actual brella.

  • @dasoupsoup

I have an idea to tweak the Reflectella a bit. I would make the brella shield covered in ink, so when gets hit with enemy fire, it changes the color in order to damage opponents and not teammates. When teammates hit the shield, it will instead heal the shield's health back up if it is damaged. This could be another way to help the shield stay open since it's pretty weak.

Chara's Commander splatling idea kinda reminds me of the Typhoon Splatling from Project Splatoon 3, though that one was more a cross between Hydra and Ballpoint (as opposed to Chara's which is a cross between Heavy and Ballpoint), where after firing for set intervals the Typhoon switches from short-ish to mid-long range, and again to extreme range, outranging E-liter.

I have an idea for buffing Splatlings in general:
    Recoil Jumps
    - Jump while firing to launch you in the opposite direction of where you're aiming
    - Generally, the heavier the Splatling, the stronger the Recoil Jump!
    - Obvious where you should use this and where you absolutely shouldn't
    - Gives Splatlings a fun new option to compete with other long-range Anchors

Ok, so one night, I had a weird dream.
It was splatoon 3, and I was watching someone play on new albacore hotel (it made it in), and they were using a new type of slosher. The stringer didn’t exist, as the new type of slosher was the new weapon (well, it was a new class, but I am referring to it as a slosher because it looked a bit like one).
So anyways, it was an odd weapon. You pressed ZR, and it sent out 3 swirling volleys of ink, that spiraled throughout the air before crashing down. They didn’t do too much damage, but they had a nice homing ability. If there was and enemy near where they would land, they would crash in that general direction (but not chase after them). They had small little explosions when they landed.
Now, I’m gonna try to explain what I meant by them “spiraling throughout the air”.
You pressed ZR, and the volleys of ink would move foward, high up in the air, swirling around like a vortex. They swirled 3 times before crashing down.
It’s kinda hard to explain, but think of a whirlwind moving foward instead of up (like a tornado), that’s how the ink moved. It spiraled foward and then crashed down. Oh, and the range was slightly higher than a splatterscope but lower than an eliter.
Anyways, then I woke up. I don’t remember much details, all I remembered was how the weapon itself worked. I would assume it would be a good pressuring weapon, As the fire rate of it was slightly slower than a bloblobber, and the homing ability would force them to move.
Also, the volleys of inked resembled the shape of a fish in some way. Which may sound unappealing, but it looked very good in the dream. Especially when they homed in, it looked elegant.
So basically, a weapon that sends foward spiraling fish shaped ink volleys that homed in on nearby enemies when they crashed down. I don’t know if it sounds underwhelming, op, or balanced, but I just felt like sharing how it went.

what you are basically describing is a grizzco slosher that homes and then does an explosher explosion into the ground

    • @AbopSplat
      @AbopSplat 2 года назад

@@Brandi-xc2pk It doesn’t quite home in on things… However! As you describe it kinda does an Expolsher (ish) thing when it hits the ground! It’s main gimmick is it it’s the only main weapon that can do piercing. It also has a weird shot ark where it moves forward and then just drops down. Edit: I accidentally typed he instead of it, so sorry for any confusion! I’ve been referring to the grizzco slosher in this reply.

    • @Flow-Fi-
      @Flow-Fi- 2 года назад

@@Brandi-xc2pk The explosions are smaller and slightly bigger than a stringer explosion.
The fish shaped ink is shaped like one of those small fish you’ve probably seen before, they’re shaped like a water droplet and all that. The ink volleys are shaped a bit like a koi fish, but no side fins, only the back ones.
The homing ability isn’t exact. If it spots an enemy OUT OF INK (can’t detect if they’re in it), it will home in on the direction they were in, but if they move, it won’t chase them. So it’s easy to dodge, if you’re alone and have a lot of area to move around in, but not if you’re occupied like stationary with a special, stuck in ink, in a fight, etc, hence, why it’s a good pressuring weapon.
It’s also worth mentioning that they home in a group of 3, not 1 by 1. They home in all 3 at once, in a horizontal line formation if you’re on the ground, but vertical if you fire it when jumping.

    • @Flow-Fi-
      @Flow-Fi- 2 года назад

@@AbopSplat I never said it pierces lol. It doesn’t pierce, because I think that would make it a bit broken.
The downsides of it is that it’s ink hungry, painting isn’t all that good, and the ink fish themselves aren’t that strong. They don’t just “move foward”, they spiral foward, like a school of fish spiraling around in water (hence, why the ink was shaped like fish.)

Good job on these! I've tried designing custom Splatoon weapons on my own and it is *surprisingly* difficult. The one idea I ever had that I did really like was a brella with sub-par regular damage in exchange for the ability to launch its canopy like a rocket, moving fast and exploding when it hit a wall or a player. I think that'd be neat!

The Reflectella looks like a weapon with extremely high both skill floor and ceiling, and I love the idea, but I wonder if such a timing-dependent weapon would be able to work in online play, since the other Brellas already struggle in it due to the netcode.
Anyway, I had an idea for a Brella too! I call it the Buster Brella, and it would be a Brella/Charger hybrid. I won't go too much into technical details because I don't know much about that and I doubt I'd do a good job balancing it, but the basic concept is that it would fire thin, accurate shots of few pellets, but you would be able to hold the button to charge your shot while holding up the shield. No shield launch, by the way. Releasing the button would make you lower the shield and then fire your shot, which would gradually increase the damage, spread, paint and pellet count the longer you charge it. I'm not sure giving it charge storing would be a good idea but maybe you could tell me.
I got this idea when I found myself holding an umbrella like a minigun, so I thought I could make a Brella/Splatling hybrid but ended up deciding that Charger was a better option lol.

  • @Flow-Fi-

I’ve had an idea for a brella for a long time: the typhoon or vortex brella.
It functions a bit like a normal undercover brella. You can shoot while the shield is up. But after 2.5 seconds of shooting, the shield will start to rotate, which will deflect some shots and reduce bomb damage against it (the shots will also start to fire faster and more powerful) but it will consume more ink. After 4.0 seconds of firing in this mode, the shield will launch off, flying through the air like an arrow, but has an arch and all that (so it’s not straight, it has an arch like an arrow). It will fly through the air fast, and when it makes contact with something, it will make a small explosion, dealing 45 damage.
The cons are that the shield and shots in the first 2.5 are weak, so you’re gonna want to get in the vortex mode before going in a fight. And it’s ink consumption in the vortex mode is pretty high. You also don’t recover the shield until 1.8 seconds after the brella explodes at the end of the flying. The range of the launch is a bit less than a jet squelcher, but more than a splattershot pro. The explosion size is smaller than a burst bomb, but significantly larger than a button tap curling bomb.

My idea for a brush was a Charge brush that increases in power level when rolling. After the ending the roll you will get faster and stronger. (Will be indicated by a glow similar to armor) .It's a medium weighing weapon. Roll speed no charge is a bit slower than octo brush, roll damage a bit less than ink brush, rolling width is same as octo damage like ink brush, swinging speed slightly worse than octo. Range and paint is a bit worse than octo.
The boosts of the charge would be about like this:
6 subs of rsu and ssu
Damage goes on to 34 per hit and hit speed faster than octo, a bit slower than ink brush. Range gets a bit better than octo. The effect will last for 6 seconds, a kill increases the length by 2 seconds.
It is inspired by Reyna from valorant, who also can get stronger after killing opponents using her orbs.

For brushes, I was thinking of this concept of a mop/broom. (Whatever makes sense). Like the main focus of this weapon is that it uses the ink already placed on the ground. Tapping the fire button would swipe the ink out and make it your main way of attacking the enemy. Then the ground will be clear of ink. Then holding the fire button would have it shake the weapon and paint (this would make it so that you wouldn't have to always rely on other players to lay ink on the ground.)

It would have mid range a lot of mobility insane firing speed and every one is a three hit kill, however the shots are narrow and focused meaning you have to have at least decent aim to get value.

Recently had an idea for a new brush: The Calligraphink Brush. A giant calligraphy brush that looks like a samurai's katana, made purely for slaying.
Middleweight, slightly faster than an Octobrush, swings produce almost no ink that does very little damage, but the entire 'blade' is a hitbox that does huge damage to compensate. Does not roll like the other brushes; instead, it drags the blade-like brush behind them along the ground. This means they don't have ink underneath them if running into enemy territory. Calligraphink Brush has innate Ink Resistance when 'rolling'.
However, the real fun is when you let go of the fire button after rolling: as this causes the user to do a VERY anime roundhouse slash dealing massive damage and fairly good inking in a large radius around you, but needs a lot of ink to use.

I know I’m late to this, but I only just recently thought of some cool weapon ideas that I got nowhere else to share.
Bristle roller. A roller with bristles that shoots ink forward as you roll. Rolling would be a viable method of attacking with this one. It comes at the expense of not being able to vertical flick.
Double chamber charger: can store 2 charged shots. The second charge is a lot slower.
Splutter Splatling: acts enough like a normal Splatling, maybe slightly weaker. But if you tap shot, it shoots powerful short bursts of ink in front of you for anyone who is rushing you. Would be easy to aim with. Perhaps ink brush range.
Sloshering can: based on a watering can. Tap to slosh like a slosher. Hold, and it acts like a shooter.
That’s all I got for now.

i have a few brella ideas in particular that im quite fond of, text wall warning:
    Double Brella (yeehaw)
    - despite being a heavyweight weapon, it has the shortest and widest range of the brellas, with about the painting range of a sploosh
    - each of its shots can deal up to 95 damage
    - the weapon's first gimmick is the ability to shoot either 1 shot when tapping fire or 2 when holding down. the burst fires as fast as a 96 gal, with the 2nd shot being more ink hungry. tap shots slightly outpace tenta brella in firerate.
    - after bursting, the canopy takes a sluggish 45 frames to deploy. it will paint your feet but not launch, consuming quite a bit of ink to maintain and having abysmal turn speed.
    - double brella's canopy has 2 layers: the first having 200HP and the second having 300HP. the first layer does not regenerate health.
    - the second canopy layer on double brella is completely immune to damage until the first has been broken, however a bomb that destroys the first layer will slightly pierce, similar to ink armor
    - the canopy regeneration will not begin until both layers are broken.
    - MPU increases the health of the first canopy layer
a close-range conqueror that rivals the sploosh's painting and damage capabilities while noping the heck out of bombs. suffers from horrible ink efficiency. encourages more aggression than camping due to the 2nd layer not regenerating.
    Porta-Brella (no not the mushroom)
    - normally, this weapon is lightweight, but it can transition into a midweight weapon.
    - its initial range is quite short and narrow, with the shots able to deal 55 damage each. it can fire a bit faster than splat brella.
    - firing the weapon will extend it forward, as it is based on a portable extending umbrella. shots taken after this transformation have more range and 65 damage, but you become a midweight weapon.
    - after holding fire while extended, the canopy will fold out almost instantly after your shot. it turns and launches very similar to a normal brella but with less size and strafe speed. the canopy has 450HP.
    - the canopy will rapidly refold, allowing you to shoot>unfold>fold much faster than a normal brella.
    - if you do not unfold the canopy for longer than 80 frames after folding it, the weapon will revert back to its short form, making the user lightweight and instantly restoring the canopy to full health.
    - losing the canopy will automatically revert the user to the short form with a fairly standard regeneration time.
    - MPU increases the range of both firing modes, especially the short mode
a mobility-focused brella that is less ink efficient, less sturdy, and hits softer than its bigger cousins, but excels in standoffs. balances some of the strengths and weaknesses of undercover and splat brella while adding a bit of new as well.
Crash Brella (last one i promise)
    - this is a middleweight weapon with range just below splat brella, but a bit more spread.
    - each shot deals a pitiful maximum of 25 damage, with a firerate slightly exceeding undercover. it has the longest main-weapon kill-time in the game at minimum damage.
    - the canopy deploy method is standard, like splat/tenta brella. it takes 30 frames after firing to deploy, and 70 frames after deploying to launch. the canopy has 250HP.
    - when the canopy launches, it will drag the player with it, leaving a very thin inktrail behind. the launch has the fastest travel of all the brellas, approaching octobrush.
    - the player can steer the brella very gradually while being dragged, but can let the canopy go freely by letting go of the fire button. cancels automatically on an empty ink tank.
    - upon running into an enemy, the canopy will deal 15 damage.
    - after running into an enemy or continuously launching for 100 frames, the ink sacs strapped to the canopy will burst, dealing a 55 damage explosion (70 total including the tap). this explosion destroys the canopy.
    - if the brella canopy is destroyed at any point during a launch, it will backfire, dealing 50 damage to the user and their team and painting the area behind the brella in the enemy's color. this will not trigger the front explosion.
    - if the brella canopy is destroyed by an enemy bomb/special explosion, both the front explosion and backfire will occur.
    - the backfire damage is unable to splat the user or their team, leaving them at 99.9 damage maximum.
    - MPU increases the speed of a launched canopy and decreases the frames needed to activate its explosion
the defensive class turned glass cannon. the crash brella focuses directly on the brellas' launch mechanic, with the main weapon being a tool for painting and softening up -victims- opponents. this weapon's major downside is that misuse of its incredibly powerful and unique mechanic makes it the only weapon in the game that can directly harm the user and their team, and there won't be much of a weapon to protect you if you screw up the execution.
whew, that was a lot. i definitely see the first two as being more realistic, but the crash brella would definitely be the one i'd play the most. they're a bit gimmicky but honestly i think splatoon has hit a point where most new weapons are going to need a gimmick to stand out.

Ultimate Brush Idea: a mop…hear me out- you have to rely fully on your teammates to recharge your ink, but the weapon combines your ink with soap to clean off any ink and any area cleaned stays ink free for 2 seconds. You’d have to play around your team, but if successful could be very powerful

One idea I had for Splat charger is to have a option to charge up twice in order to shoot twice. The second charge would take a bit long then the first and it would have a hold charge similar to the goo-tuber. The range of the weapon would be longer then a splat charger.

a new weapon class for the inkbow will probably be a crossbow. Being able to hold the full charge but not being able to fire verticaly. Also, doing the full charge takes longer but you move faster. The shots land same as the inkbow and full charge also makes them explode.
Another interesting inkbow would be a inkbow which full charged arrows can bounce once, or another bow that makes a single shot but with big explosion.

    I have a brush idea:
(Ps I won’t have frame stuff because I’m too lazy too think of exact numbers rn)
    Brush and a blaster combination
Most likely a support/back line brush that can deal with flanks
Range will be like 6.75 lines mostly from the blast shots
Will have a slower swing speed then the octo brush but will be heavy weight
Every time you swing you send out a blaster like projectile in a line like shape and will travel at a explosher speed
Probably 2 times the width of a blaster shot but also 1/2 the size of a normal blaster shot
The line blast will explode mostly in a wide line
and the trial following the line blast will paint in like a line like shape I want to say 3/4-1/2 the size of the carbon roller rolling
The brush can be like 15 damage per swing and so the line shot will be 25 damage on direct but will be 10-0 damage if you don’t get a direct
The brush hits and blaster lines will combined the damage together having 40 per swing when close up
Rolling speed will be slower then octo brush probably 3/4 the speed
a 11% of ink per swing
I think it would work well with the ninja squid special and the new bubble special
    Pros of weapon:
    Good range
    Good at close range
    Can deal with people flanking
    Good at painting straight lines
    Has wide blast shots
    Cons:
    Run out of ink easily
    Slow
The blaster shots could probably be jumped over or squid undered depends how the person shot it

One thing I would really like would be a blaster that's something of a mix between Rapid Blaster Pro and Clash Blaster. Instead of firing a projectile that detonates after a set distance/time, the projectile would instantly detonate upon release of the fire button (or after a certain amount of time) and after it detonates there would be a set cooldown before you can fire again. (Basically, the fire rate is dependent on how far the projectile flies.) I'm not a pro, so I won't stand by these numbers too much, but I imagine it would be a bit slower than both Rapid and Clash, have a bit less range than Rapid Blaster Pro, and direct hits would deal 55 damage while indirect hits would deal 40. I think it would be a good generalist, and could help for attacking enemies that are trying to escape or use cover.

  • @Flow-Fi-

I’ve also always had an idea for a charger, what if there was a charger that had two stages of firing (like a splatling), or more of two rings. You could charge it up to hold 2 shots. The range is slightly longer than a bamboo but lower than a splat charger. You could either fire both shots at once (so if you missed the first one, you could immediately follow up with another one) or fire one and save the other.
An easier way to explain it would be you charge it up with two rings like a splatling. You could release ZR to fire the first shot, but then to fire the second shot, you must press ZR again. If you don’t, you will continue holding the second shot. You can hold charge in ink for 3.8 seconds, and it’s lag when coming out or in of ink with a charge will be low like a gootuber. So it’s basically reworked goo.
The damage is exactly at 98.8 for a fully charged shot, it takes 2.5 seconds to charge up both rings, and the ink consumption for both rings is 30%l so it’s pretty ink hungry. Tap shots are the range of a goo tap shot but deal 35.3 damage. If you don’t full charge the second ring, then you can fire a fully charged shot and then either fire the second partial one, go in ink with it, or continue charging it. When you continue charging it, the partial will count as the first ring instead of the second, so you can charge up two rings again.

I have always loved the idea of a backline and support splatling with three charge rings, first ring is range (it would be between Heavy and Mini, closer to heavy) second ring velocity obv, third ring gives it a little more damage, say 28->30 or 30->32, not the same damage buff of Hydra, but the third charge would also give it a unique ability, say it paints way better, it could have a super large multiplier to objects, though my favorite idea is that the third ring gives slightly more damage but also gives the weapon a natural thermal ink benefit, be it a neutered version of thermal or otherwise, I just think there's a lot they could do with charge rings without making them rechargeable but the idea of a splatling having 3 rings sounds super cool there's infinite possibilities for what the third ring could do

I love the concepts presented here a lot (Reflectella and the 0.5MM Dualies are especially good to me) but I always felt like brushes could use more "alt takes" on top of getting their basic "light", "medium", "heavy" incarnations.
One idea I've kinda wanted to see because anime "draw from sheathe" type swordfighters live in my head rent free is a thin brush that forefits the "brush run" mode we've been accustomed to and instead creates a brand new version of it. With this one (tentatively calling it the "Calligraphist"), when you mash the button to swing, your inkling initiates a running animation forward and can swing in the direction they are facing while maintaining that run (this means you can look left or right from the initial start of the run and swing on things trying to swim around you all while moving in that originally set run's direction). The run can be swim or sub cancelled and can continue until you run out of ink.
If you hold the fire button down, the inkling stances up (think longsword sheathes in Monster Hunter) and slowly the ink tank goes through three levels of charge (you can walk around and jump in this hunched over stance but at a drastically reduced rate; perhaps you can also charge hold but you'd swim much slower the whole time). When the button is released, the inkling fires a wave of ink forward in a manner similar to the vertical flick of the Dynamo except the lethal range, damage of the non-lethal range and overall range of the swing depend entirely on the level of charge you reached before releasing the attack.
Give this one Burst Bomb & Zipcaster if we're going all the way into considering sets. And yeah, it can charge like Squiffer in the air for those jump in engagements.

The ink consumption is 45% and you only get 2 charge shots before running out. For brella the spin brella has a shot that pierces thru enemies and when the canopy opens it does alot of damage killing in 1 hit if the opponent is inked or not, downside is consumes ink very fast and the canopy only has 150 hp.

Sunshade Brella: This Brella draws inspiration from Parasols and comes with a Star shaped Canopy. When the fire button is pressed this Brella fires 5 projectiles one from each corner of the canopy that flies toward the center of the aiming reticle for mid to long range befor coliding with each other and leaving ink on the ground. If the fire button is held the Canopy will be launched at an incredible speed making a full rotation as it does. When the rotation ends, Just shy of firing range, The speed of the Canopy greatly decreasses to the point of almost being stationary befor disapearing. This allows you to launch the Canopy at a nearby target to bump them far away then follow up with a shot that now deals just enough damage to pick up the splat. The draw backs of this particular Brella is inconsistent close range fire, a thiner paint area and longer regeneration time. I'd imagine it to have a wooden design with sticks leading to the end of each point on the star, The ones at the back of the Canopy will stay after launch to keep the primary fire consistent throughout

    Weapon ideas:
Ink Squirt: a small, light weapon which has a short bit of charge time and is a midrange decently powerful but weaker-shots charger.
Storm Brella: Has a stronger shield of normal sizing that is see-through. It doesn't shoot with shield out unless ink hits the shield, which, unless the shield is destroyed by any given shot, does half the damage dealt to the shield (it 'reflects' half the damage) back in a standard shot--the range and variables except for damage are the same, no matter if it's a charger or a splatling or something else.

It would be sick if there was a dualie variant that did damage with the rolls. Like it would have the longest-distance rolls in the game and colliding with an enemy deals 50 damage. Paint wise it would have slightly more range than V-dualies but with aerospray rng and lower fire rate, and would kill in 5 shots. Turret mode gives it like splash-o-matic accuracy but only lasts for 1 second. I would imagine the rolls travel about 3/4 as far as the weapons firing range. So you can hit em with two rolls then finish em off with a well aimed turret fire. You can also push em around with the rolls. They can have shaken soda cans tied to them to boost dash speed lol Rocket Dualies

As a certified brush goblin, I honestly think that the Decabrush concept is kinda... bad.
I predominantly pick brushes because they let me do some support with painting and distracting when needed, while also letting me aggressively and hastily break the Geneva Conventions fourteen times over.
But the idea of a mid ranged brush focused on support first is just... really fucking weird. It doesn't sit right with me in any way.
Granted, the idea is cool, but brushes kinda already have that with their paint output. Plus, 20 frames is a bit harsh and the heavy class fucking deletes the existence of the mobility that I like.
I'd rather go with the slightly less range but sweetspotting Octobrush of the first game than this, but hey, a brush is a brush; even if it's shit I'll probably snort it like it's a chunk of drywall.
    Also suction + Zipcaster Octobrush hype. M y b o d y i s r e a d y.

A squid shaped guitar that creates ink around you as you play it, while also creating a wave of sound with it, the ink is weak but the sound is the important part, it has a health bar which can completely deny Bombs and slightly resist enemy ink, specials break the shield immediately
    The shell shock gauntlets
Dual gauntlets packed with ink, pressing the fire button will shoot you a few inches forward with a combo of punches, small and narrow shotgun fire will come from these which will do small damage and slow down the enemies so they don't have enough time to run from your hits, this weapon is the definition of a melee since you need to be incredibly close for the punches to even hit, the punches are very quick and it has a 2 shot kill
    The mammal SP
A spider shaped gauntlet on the right arm, used for long ranged combat, using it's 6 eyes it fires blobs of ink, each shot taking a percent of your ammo, 6 being the maximum before your depleted, you can hold down the weapon to fire all 6 bullets at once one after the other, as you fire the spider legs on the weapon come up, this weapon is mostly an anchor but can also be used in close and mid ranged fights, it works like a revolver
    The mammal SN
A snake whip that kind of works like a horizontal splatana, it creates horizontal waves and when charged it can instantly kill if it gets close, but instead of a forward dash it can do a backwards flip and the charged slash doesn't move

I had a different idea with the same base idea and similar gimmick as your Commander Splatling, but it's more of a shooter-splatling combo. IK that sounds redundant, like "But Splatlings are a shooter-charger, why have it as a shooter, shooter-charger?" Well, lemmie explain with my new weapon class: Splatterfans.
Before I state what it does, I must explain that this is not a paper fan like Shiver holds or like some other "fan" weapon ideas I've seen around. It's a handheld shooter weapon with a rotary fan attatched right behind the shot output. If it's still confusing, think it's the fans that you'd put your face up to and speak into to make funny speech, but as a handheld and with a spray nozzle in the center.
Anyways, The Basic Splatterfan has a linear form of shot output, where the longer you hold the ZR button, the faster, farther, and quicker your shots travel and become, going to a maximum fire rate being slightly faster than that of the splat dualies when they're firing post dodge roll. However, this comes with the drawback of a fully charging fan having less damage per shot (being 10 damage per), heavier ink consumption (Due to the massive fire rate and requiring the fan to be powered by it's flow), and worse shot accuracy. The Splatterfan has decent turf potential when tap-firing and loses most of that when full charging, being similar to that of a splattershot at no charge all the way to a jet squelcher at full. Range is similar to an aerospray to slightly less than a Ballpoint's Long Range Mode. When you stop firing, the fan will slowly lose charge until it reaches none or you start firing again or run out of ink. Going into Swim Mode has the charge dimmish at almost double the speed as normal.
The potential of choosing what range you want to play at for a shooter should give Splatterfan players the freedom of going offensive or defensive whenever they want, at the expense of having to deal with opposing playstyles and the drawbacks of each individual mode. Short rangers will be forced to deal with slow fire rates with moderate damage output while, as I stated before, the long rangers deal with inaccuracy and heavy ink consumption.
I have 3 current kits for Splatterfans (Which are not profesionally done, I put more thought into the weapon not the sets.) along with the reskin names. Splatterfan has Splat Bomb and Ink Vac, Deco has Squid Beacons and Triple Inkstrike, and Neon (Sheldon's Pick) has Angle Shooter and Killer Wail 5.1. I also half-made a Kensa look but was reminded that the Kensa weapons were limited time so that's scrapped.
I'll pitch more out if I see similar weapon concepts around.
