In this video we look at how he started out knocking off designer brands, met Michèle Lamy, got his work noticed by Anna Wintour (chief-in-editor of Vogue), his legal trouble with Nike, the Rick Owens x Adidas era, and much more. We will also talk in detail about some of his standout collections, sub labels like Drkshdw and Hunrickowens, as well as his signature pieces like the Dustulator Dunks, the Geobaskets, the Ramones, and Creatch cargo pants. With each new collection Rick Owens continues to push the boundaries of fashion, and hopefully by the end of this video you’ll see why he has one of the biggest cult followings in fashion.

Wow I’m so proud of Rick. A lot different from the old days in Porterville.
I love his design sense and clothing. I have a few pieces and they never go out of style and have that certain elegance and unique draping.

The inspiration behind me finally going to study fashion design after been able to to use a sewing machine since I'm 5 years old and drawing clothes since I'm 8 without any support from my caregivers, I'm going for it now
The fact of the matter is, we the people (consumers) saw his creative genius and agreed that it was worth the price it was being put at, because we see and value ricks creative genius as so. 👌🏻
