After getting into fashion, I was so excited when I found out about chrome hearts. It was my dream style realized. I love this brand so much. My only problem with it is that it really is overpriced. Don't get me wrong; their product is great quality and they don't outsource. An expensive price is beyond understandable, but most of it is too much. And I’m talking about the leather goods and silver jewelry, not the hoodies, beanies, or stupid cross jeans. I’m just mad lol cause ive spent so much time saving up for a bike and now its gonna take even longer to get a jacket lol. Its all love tho. One of the best fashion brands out there imo

Specifically the Chain wallet goods. Years later as an adult I’m excited to able to afford some of the ready to wear. When I think of this brand I think authentic Malibu, rock biker looks.

My friend in Malibu was friends with Richard and I used to get free Chrome Hearts clothes all the time. It’s crazy to have watched from the very beginning. I actually gave away all that stuff but probably should have hung onto it.
I can never fully justify their pricing and the levels that resellers go to, but I do heavily respect Chrome Hearts for pioneering fashion in different ways. It may not be my aesthetic, but without them, I'm sure there would've been many things that exist today that may have never seen the light of day! Huge fan of the channel though!

Personally, I don't view that as being a bad thing. It's one thing to rock fake yeezy, a brand that has become so ubiquitously recognizable by even non niche consumers, but at least for now, Chrome Hearts doesn't fall into that. I picked up two rings in soho at a vintage jewelry joint, and they're at least good enough fakes that I couldn't tell the difference. Even if they are fake, I'd still wear them; fakes of this quality are a compliment to the brand.
Now it has become a hypebeast brand. People that dont know much about the history but knows celebrity wear it. They get clothing that spell out "Chrome heart" rather than being discrete as the brand intended.
This brand, their story, and its community of founders and people involved is simply beautiful. I understand the value of their products far more better now.
