We also talk to Michele Lamy after she opens the show, under a rain of jasmine leaves from the Lido.

About 23 years ago I used to work down the street from Rick's little atelier that was off Hollywood boulevard, near Michelle's Cafe Les Deux. There used to be branches, dead birds, sun dried bones in the window. I used to wonder, "What's going on in there?" He's one of the few who fuses art and fashion together in a meaningful way. I have pieces that I bought in 2008 that I still can wear today. You can't say that about many designers today. What you buy today will look ridiculous in a few years. Mark my words.
“I did acid, I did mushrooms, in the garden and it was lovely”. Yeap. It all make sense. Expanding your mind can always bring great things. And it doesn’t make you want to do the same as everyone else. I’m glad I get to see his amazing work 💕
The more I watch this guy the more I love his character.

Adore Rick Owens….his intelligent and creative designs always true to his signature aesthetic ..dark and glamorous, super cool grunge, at once edgy….fierce…fun…exaggerated and so effortlessly out there,…towering vertiginous heels….dramatic statement shoulders …..architectural references abound…gothic black spectres…gliding sensually through the fog…GOTS certified for quality assurance and sustainability…..a designer with a conscience ….is the icing on the cake….we want nice Nuns, nice Nuns, not rich bitches….great to see his Muse and wife, Michelle Lamy his Queen of darkness….I’m a huge, huge fan and covet her most incredible armour style ring jewellery…….what a great show…fab viewing Loic and team…😘

It is really hard to qualify just how fantastic and rich all of this is. So many of these people can be truly wise and enriching people. All while still being fun and full of aesthetic beauty. Everything he says here is as easy to applaud as the work and there is just so much depth in here it’s honestly like being on another planet or in a dream of the best kind. Just all around mind blowing and beautiful and abundant with creativity and nuance and above all, respect and love. It’s very cool. You can tell by how people react in the comments that everyone watching was totally floored.
