I love Kim Jones for keeping Karl’s team and some Fendi family members, he seems humble and open to collaboration. Some designers are so egotistic and force a whole brand to change itself so that it represents them. Meanwhile Kim expresses himself in the clothes, but also makes sure he honors the brand well.
Let’s see if I can find the words…
Fendi is an institution on what they can achieve, Kim Jones is “just” a genius, Loic et team are truly poets in the way they describe, film and edit these videos. I had already watched the collection video and I loved it, but now I’ve got goosebumps, the close ups, the slow motion, the explanations, the references, Delfina talking in Italian, English and French in the same conversation, the marble jewelry, the team working altogether, the models looking like ethereal goodness but smiling and being playful at the same time. This video is truly a feast!

From the Kerouac collection to this, Kim Jones’ level of creativity is simply remarkable and undeniable. I love Rick, Ann, Dries, and early Hedi, but you know through his references that Kim absorbs almost everything around him in visuals, sounds, textures: translating them into these works of art.
