It's one of the most uplifting songs ever written. Sounds like Steve enjoyed himself up until the end. Vale Steve Harley RIP mate. Australia loves you.
He's just got better and better and better over the years. You can see how much he loves his music and performing. Thank you for uploading this...pure magic.
Hearing this genious song at first when 6 years old 1970 I think...now I`m 60 soon and have the same feeling to it, I hope I can hear it when I´m 120 maybe... it never looses its drive and fun . Pure, pure Pop- music ! Thank you Steve.
I was about 17yo when this was released and I still remember being absolutely captivated by this song on first listen. It was a pre-punk breath of fresh air in a sea of disco. I still love it to this day.
Just takes one classic song Global world hit My time 1950/60 Happiness Fish love ❤ She made me smile ❤ Thanks Steve ❤ My first date My first love ❤ Thanks Steve ❤ Street wise TAL.......... ... she was beautiful Unfortunately didn't last long Can't help smiling ❤
Great performance - thanks for uploading this clip. It's always fantastic to see performing artists interact and work their audience. This song is magic, never get tired of listening to it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this amazing song. I have been listening to it at least a million time. In a way it helped me to overcome the loss of one of my dearest friends: Carmelo Somma. He died on February 6, 2021.
I knew Steve back in the day for a brief time before he started touring and joined other groups, particularly Cockney Rebel, which was as much him as Wings was Paul McCartney. Steve was a fine musician, it’s a pity in a way that he’s only really known for his song. RIP mate.
I've watched about 5 clips from this song and on none of them did the camera person manage to locate the guitaist for the epic solo. Useless. Bloody useless.
It's always Barry Wickens, who normally plays violins - he always stands to the right of Steve. He's the guy with the light brown guitar, at the very right of the screen in front of the keyboard - the silver bar you can see in the background, at 6:46.
Now put that silly bloody comment in perspective with everything else that's going on right now, children being wiped out because of their religion, Isis, floods, fires, immense poverty, civil wars, etc., please be more mindful of what's really important in this fucked up world ok.

@@COLEEN322 Wow. What would all of us simple folk do if it wasn't for heavyhanded sanctimonious nerds like yourself to remind us that it's not correct to get away from all the shit you mentioned above and just enjoy a moment, even if it's wondering who the guitar solo was played by. How do you know that the guy who asked about it doesn't do volunteer work for pediatric cancer patients, or save the oceans? All your lecturing doesn't make anything you mentioned one bit better. You think you're the conscience of the world but in reality you're numbingly boring and a buzzkill and no one asked for your "guidance." And there's still alot that's beautiful in this world. So please be mindful of that.
RIP Steve Harley. you gave a bit of sanity in the 70's, with little kids.

I was about 17yo when this was released and I still remember being absolutely captivated by this song on first listen. It was a pre-punk breath of fresh air in a sea of disco. I still love it to this day.
His Rockwiz performance of this song is the best I've seen, this one is pretty great too though!
Yes I watch it over and over.
I love that Steve appears very much to have embraced this song and its continued success, he could very easily have grown to resent it.
No-one resents a pension at this age! ;-)
