Hi Slippy, Please can you advise which make and type of lure clip do you use plus where I can buy them? I also noticed that you have some black water proof cases. What are these and where can I purchase these too please?
Hi John, sure, the clips are called LMAB Easy Snaps and I normally get them from Predatortackle.co.uk. I've found the medium to be the most useful size. The waterproof cases are from Amazon and just the Amazon Basics cases. Hope this helps
Awesome vid as always Nath, that down climb looked a bit spicey.quick noob question, how do you judge your lure depth?do you just drop to bottom then wind or can you judge it by lure weight verses sink time based on total depth?keep up the good work mate, the century kit looks amazing.
It's a good question. You don't really need to know what the depth is, it's more important to know what height of the water column it's in. If you put a lure on, cast it out and count until it hits the deck. Lets's say it took 30 seconds. Then every time you cast you can judge the depth of your lure in relation to the bottom by counting. 10 seconds is a third of the way down, 15 seconds is half, etc. Do this every time you change lure and you know where it is in relation to the seabed. Hope this helps
Great video and fantastic climb down to the second mark. You said that the Graphex bent more, I assume that this is a comparison to the Tailwalk. I inow you are sponsored by Century, but, would love to get your thoughts on the Graphex, its action, accuracy of the rating and any plans they have for newer models please.
When I first picked the Graphex up and gave it the obligatory waggle, it felt reasonably pokey in comparison to my Tailwalk rods, but it actually had a nice progressive curve when playing fish (even the small ones) and not as steely as I though it would be. More like the tailwak's, but maybe with a bit more power in reserve. In terms of rating, I need to use it a bit more, but I think Century are spot on with it, seemed to throw the smallest Fiiish Crazy Eel with no issues and could still whack a 40g metal out. Optimumweight for larger profile lures is probably around 25g. Not sure about dev, though, it seems Century are very tight-lipped when it comes to future rods. Hope this helps and glad you liked the vid. Tight lines
How did you anchor your tarpaulin to the rock? Was it just guideline attached to the rocks?I've never seen such an amount of surf due to all those tides meeting, I bet the predatory fish take advantage of those under currents to ambush their prey, btw it feckin terrified me Watching you on those cliffs, I hope you're being careful man also hope that people never go to areas like that alone cuz I don't think you could swim out of that water easily.
