Awesome vid Nath, what a place, defo on my radar this one, wild and remote is the best.up on kintyre and mull next week so fingers crossed for some action, keep em coming slippy 👍👊
Noticed your braid is sitting a little high on your spool, you will need to add one or two washers under the spool to level out the line lay, the washers should be in the box your reel came in, another fanstastic video and thankyou for taking us on your fishing adventures.👍
That's like the best day fishing ever - I could just go home after that and be thrilled. Unbelievably beautiful and uninhabited to boot - what's not to like. Love the bants and bloopers. Look forward to the next few vids from wherever you end up!
When it comes to fishing, I can't remember ever saying "I'm spent" before. 😂 If you ever get a pass to head up that way then grab it, there's soooo many fish Cheers LV ans tight lines👍🎣
Love what you do which is why I've been following you all these years. Please tell me though that from time to time you take one for the table, I'd love to see your spin on a catch n cook. I'm I fly fisherman in the south of France, I hit the sea in the off season. As far as the trout are concerned, or fario as they call the wild ones here, I take one per year on my birthday, I love a trout, smoked with a seaweed salad, it's my little treat to me, for the rest of the season it's catch and release as they are not an unlimited resource and I'm very aware of that, with the change of climate they are being hit hard here unfortunately. The med is devastated, over fished, it's rare you catch something but I will take one bass per season, but it's been a while since I've caught one, I'm an enthusiastic amateur, maybe I could catch more if I was better but still, wouldn't change a thing, one per year. I'd like to see your catch and cook one day. Keep on keeping on, love what you do. All the best 👍
Another great vid. Those rock marks straight into deep water are rare but finding one is liking striking gold. I know a few at most in Scotland where I go, which are easily accessible on foot (no not Neist Point !) and the pollack fishing is great. Usually a fish every 3 or 4 casts. Have you thought of doing a vid for Sea Trout fishing in Scotland ? It requires different locations (estuaries etc), and lighter tackle and different techniques etc but there are more locations for anglers to have a go at themselves. Get a good fight off a 3lb Sea Trout.
Great job guys the pollock fishing in the Hebrides is out of this world I am heading up the barra in a couple of weeks so will hopefully get the weather you guys had. Loving the island hopping videos. 👍
Another great video I don’t sea fish myself, but always enjoy your videos, great quality, great scenery, great fishing, you two guys should be making a series for the tv, one question please,I’m looking for a quality pair of chest waders to replace a cheap pair I have can you let me know the manufacturer of yours? Thanks Graham.
Another great video I love those days when it's all a fish a cast few n far between for me but you don't realise how taxing it can be on a hot day if your not use to it, be great to see you target some flatfish species if you get chance, I'm trying to learn every trick and tip I can about them after my previous experience I need to stay on top of the game to try catching one. IT WILL HAPPEN..lol
Fabulous place fabulous fishing. Lucky boys 🎣. What was the message he left the nice lad who let ye use the slipway couldn’t make it out or was it just bird crap 🤔. Anyhow like I said… lucky boys!!!! 👍
Loch Skipport, the access to the old jetty was blocked off due to stupid sized campervans driving down there and the roadway not being very stable. You can still walk down, parking at the lay-by on the top. Still a faff with gear
Yet again Nathan another great video on the Pollock.. just wondering why u don't target other species, maybe on the yak.. pretty sure there will be cod about up there.. and other stuff.. av got a question.. what was the present the guy left on yer car.. couldn't make it out? Anyway cheers for the vids...tight lines mate 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Great vid Nathan. My work mate rescued a kayak from a recycle centre. It's been stored at work for months now. He has nowhere to store it, and has no experience in canoes or kayaks. Do you think I should relieve him of it???
I've never kept anything other than mackerel when camping and kayaking, freshly caught on a bbq is delicious but I would never keep pollack . Catch and release always.
@@SlippyLimpets Yeah wouldnt want to fall in that water...LOL its usually between 70 to 85 F where i fish and later in Nov it will drop to about 50 then in winter around 45 or below.
Superb stuff, Nathan - great shots, great fishing! Live seeing Lewis heft the wee terrier around… my Lurcher would be too interested in the deer! You deserve congratulations; takes a lot of organising, effort and concentration to have such a chilled, exciting and successful adventure. Lovely to watch - made me envious too, as just back home after a 600 mile round trip. Yet my 3 day trip up to Aird and new marks in Northern tip of Skye was battered by mad weather, got munched my midges, broke my bolle polarised glasses, fell chest deep in a bog taking a daft choice ‘shortcut’ near Ben Volovaig, and twisted my ankle rock hopping - with scant fish. One of those ‘ oh, for fuc£ sake’ trips… Get the lures out in Southern Italy Tuesday though fir 2 weeks, then Sheep’s Head in 3 weeks. Must get better soon eh? Looking forward to the next instalment. Stay safe, tight lines. G
Ah, yeah. The audio sync is a little out but there's nothing I can do about it now. Thankfully it only lasts 20 seconds or so. Thanks for pointing it out
Seriously wasn't a problem I know how weird and badly sound can travel when you're out around rocks with nooks and different points and shapes can make things echo weirdly
Im not an anti by any means as I fish myself and I have to say the way those Pollack are returned isnt very good for their survival rate-seriously ,they are literally bouncing back off the submerged rocks from that height. (9.09) Not a good advert im afraid.
He realises them fine, the height helps with pushing a gush of water through the gills and gives them a quick burst of oxygen to go back. No fish landed on rocks so nothing to worry about and you can see they swam off perfectly! 👏
Granted a couple didn't land head first, as I would have preferred, but none of them hit the rock. I've looked at the clip you mentioned and I think it's the trick of the camera. Appreciate your feedback and taking the time to comment.
Beautiful place, great fishing, good company, what more is there Nath. Enjoyed watching the days antics. All the best to you, Louis and his dog. TL's.
Super session once again . Thanks for bringing us to places we can't go. Stay safe.

Really enjoyed the video, You are spoilt for choice when you are up there and bonus getting the weather. Thanks for sharing.
You're right, there's more than a lifetimes worth of marks to fish. Thanks for watching 👍🎣
You need to be promoting the spin lock life jacket you are wearing. Far too many anglers on the NE coast risking it

I don't want to give too much away but we had a few more days after this one, so you never know👍🎣
Great video again. May I ask what your make and model of waders and footwear you were using whilst you kayaked out?
Stunning fishing and scenery 👌 ( and so quiet and peaceful) thanks for sharing 👍

Haha, catching happens too rarely to me to get bored when it does
Absolutely minted video nathan 👌🎣 great fishing and stunning scenery 👍
Well done lads 👋👋
Great video mate💪🏻 Loved it 👍🏻👍🏻
What a session, many midges about?
Great fishing in fantastic surroundings, only one place better and that's North Norway, going there in two days time
I'm very jealous! Hope you get amongst them💪👍🎣

If you look closely, you'll see a cocktail and balls drawn into the dirt on the window. 😂
Well what can you say about a session like that, superb fishing fishing there, that was a great watch
Eyelid is a new one ...had one on my bellend many moons ago.
Oooff, that sounds nasty. Think I'd prefer one on my eyelid than bellend
Sheep shagger?

What a brilliant session Nate and the filming is real quality as usual
Still no made it up that way for work. Might just have to pack the car anyways lol cracking session lads. Tight lines 🎣
Just do it mate, it's a special place.
Great video enjoyed watching the adventure and looking forward to the next instalments 😎 what make is the landing net pole you use please?
Enjoyed that nathan great vid 😊
Top vid guys 👌

great video- ty for sharing
Smashing that Like button like the pollock are smashing those lures 🎣
Great vid Nathan. My work mate rescued a kayak from a recycle centre. It's been stored at work for months now. He has nowhere to store it, and has no experience in canoes or kayaks. Do you think I should relieve him of it???
I think that's a great idea!
Looks good there- hard work but worth It for the fishing
The extra effort and un-known makes the good fishing even better
Class love it
Great movie what tipe of footwear do you yous rock hopping
I wear trail running shoes or approach shoes. Hope this helps and glad you liked the video
great , what app u using for depth map ?
great vid
Looks like you should just move to Scotland Nath
Another epic production Nathan. How do you rate the MQ compared to the old BG?
Deadly video mate. Heading to the beara peninsula in west cork Ireland in the next few weeks and that video has me buzzing for some Pollack 😂
You lucky get! That's one of the marks on my list. Hope you have a good'n! 👍🎣
@@SlippyLimpets hopefully we get the weather!
I hope you do too, I'm also in west Ireland in 3 weeks😂
@SlippyLimpets nice! You've no excuse to not fish dursey island so!😅
I know, it looks amazing for pollack, but the lads I'm going over with are after bass. Not sure how much pollack I'll get in...pester power!
What was the braid you were using
It's Tasline Elite 20lb/1.6PE. I buy it by the metre from Australia, you can get it in the UK but it's more expensive
Are you coming to isle of islay?
Not this year, I was thinking about it for next year.
What is this Carp or Cart you use as bait?
It's called cart, it's made from the roe of edible crabs
Got to ask why don’t you ever keep any of the fish to eat
I've never kept anything other than mackerel when camping and kayaking, freshly caught on a bbq is delicious but I would never keep pollack . Catch and release always.
Also if its slightly warm and you don't have ice to keep it on it will spoil very quick.
I keep them occasionally but not pollack, I'm not keen on the taste. They're sport fish for me
whats the water temp like this time of year?
It was 10c in that area. Doesn't normally get much hotter
@@SlippyLimpets Yeah wouldnt want to fall in that water...LOL its usually between 70 to 85 F where i fish and later in Nov it will drop to about 50 then in winter around 45 or below.
nice
is that little dog a schnauzer ?
Aye, the wee whiney dug is a miniature schnauzer
ruclips.net/video/uEWxKubPGy0/видео.html
Ticks are a pain in the…skin. Still my dog gets more than me up there 😏
you guys need autopilot 120 or 106mk and you wont have to paddle around from island to island
I don't mind paddling. I've got an electric motor for my yak and never even used it
👏👏👍👍
Thanks mate, glad you liked it.
💜👍💜👍
🙌🙌👍 Thanks Dunc

21min in you have a sound problem it's like a echo
I think it was just echoes off the rock behind but noticed myself.
Ah, yeah. The audio sync is a little out but there's nothing I can do about it now. Thankfully it only lasts 20 seconds or so. Thanks for pointing it out
Seriously wasn't a problem I know how weird and badly sound can travel when you're out around rocks with nooks and different points and shapes can make things echo weirdly
you're no rex hunt the way you put those fish back
The rod your using Nathan is too soft Bro - why you miss so many fish. Tip just collapses on the take.
I know, but I hate fishing with stiff rods. I prefer to feel the fight of the fish I rather than just hauling them in
Catch and cook is the only way you’ll get more followers
