While not as fast as Richter I believe you have achieved something great here. Anyone can learn the piece but bringing it to this tempo is insane. You've got a new sub!
Awesome! Your quick playing and accuracy is seriously impressive! You definitely deserve to play on only the best, most in tune, and high quality pianos to fit your skill! If you enter any competitions, you have my full support to get the gold! Hope you are safe and doing well and protecting your head and those hands during your military service! ❤️
Notice that at that speed there is no musicality left, it all sounds like a machine as all the human resources are allocated to achieve this athletic rendition. The touch is exactly the same for all notes in the piece, there is no gradation, almost no dynamics, and yes there are some dropped passing notes not by mistake but by choice because not possible at that speed.
I measured that as exactly on Chopin’s metronome mark of 88 to the minim, or perhaps even slightly faster. Good, it gives the lie quite clearly to those people who claim Chopin’s metronome marks on the Etudes are ‘impossible’.
I'm guessing you can play it so fast and so well because you have skill far beyond the requirements of this piece and this etude feels like Fur Elise to you. Great job playing!
@@nikitaedell Yep, just tonight i practiced Op 25 n4 and 5 and last night Op 25 n6, Op 25 n11, Op10 n2, Op 10 n1 and Op 10 n 10 in that order all on an upright Young Chang, and i have 2 Steinways one model B and a model D. The problem with Steinways is they require constant maintenance and adjustment to keep it in tip top shape and the action on all keys will progressively get more uneven with age. Whereas a fairly new Young Chang will have perfectly balanced action for a long time and thus ideal for practicing. Of course the Steinway will have better sound but requires work every 3 months. Also for me i want to preserve my ears and the steinway is too loud when practicing it might not help to have to much sound in the ear every time. I play the Steinway too but for hard practicing prefer the Young Chang.
I have a suggestion: instead of playing this etude at a speed it was never supposed to be reached, why don’t you try reaching the speed of Alkan op. 39 n. 1? You would really be one of the few to do it, and I’m pretty sure you can manage to reach it, disproving everyone that thinks it’s impossible
I don't really like le Preux at tempo either I think that at the tempo that Seonyong plays it is great and it sounds good. Anything faster and I think it doesn't sound good
Idk about that, isn't it like 16 notes/sec constantly and even 21 at times? And the pattern is much more awkward than chemin de Fer, which I believe is actually slower too.
Excellent technique, probably one of the best of pianists I follow on RUclips. I second the comments: please don't do it Rousseau-style, this is great as is!
