- Long time no see!
I'm going to say sorry first that my video uploads have been delayed due to school days and then being busy.
This is Chopin's Grande Valse Brillante (Op. 18), the very first, and the largest (scale-wise) waltz of him. As the title says, it's quite "brilliant" and lyrical as well, therefore being my personal favorite waltz for piano. Ironically, I had never played this for years, and now it does reminds me of old memories.

오늘은 간만에 또 대곡 하나를 가져왔는데요, 최근 개강을 시작으로 점점바빠지고 있는 추세라서 영상이 뜸한점 양해부탁드립니다..ㅠㅠ 오늘은 쇼팽의
"화려한 대왈츠" 라는 곡을 가져왔는데요.
이곡은 쇼팽의 첫번째 왈츠이기도 하며 규모 또한 가장 큰 왈츠입니다. 상당히 서정적이고 화려하며 뛰어난 연주효과를 지닌 곡입니다. 개인적으로 가장 좋아하는 피아노 왈츠곡 중 하납니다:) 옛날에 13살때를 마지막으로 한번도 안 치다가 오랜만에 다시 꺼내서 연습해보는데 감회가 새로웠습니다.

이전 영상들 소리가 너무 날카로워서 마이크에 덮게를 씌우고 찍었는데.. 부드러워진것 같으면서도 음질이 역효과로 더 깨지는것 처럼 들리네요.. 이방법은 해산 해야겠어요:(
I putted cover on my microphone and I think sounds like more softer than before but, also sound quality is quite worse maybe.. I will reset microphone..

For those who cannot understand Korean:
This time Mr. Hwang recorded the video with the microphone covered, using something made out of leather, because he felt that videos uploaded before sounded too sharp. However, many viewers, as well as Mr. Hwang himself, realized that the sound quality gone worse than before, even though it sounded smoother. Therefore, he decided to abolish this cover and change the substance of it... or purchase the most suitable and compatible cover for his microphone.

its not hard, especially compared to the rest of Chopin's waltzes, but definitely easy in this youtuber's repertoire
@@chajjojjo i would say it is quite a hard and demanding, normal compared with other walzer by chopin, and a childs game compared with wath this dude can play haha

@@seonyonghwang is there something you can't play even if you try? You played Mèreaux etude op 63 no 45 so I wonder if there anything hard for you. Do you consider playing liszt paganini etude no 4 ver 1838 sometime? Or is it too crazy? Anyway, love your playing

C'est magnifique! 숖왈츠들은 진짜 1분 1초 하나도 거를 타선 없이 모든 파트가 매력적이게 들린단 말이죠. 요곡 같은 경우에 저 클래식 입문하고 얼마 안돼서 들었던 곡들 중 하나인데 오랜만에 들으니 감회가 새롭네요 :)

I'm also playing this one, I rather play it without the pedal, it gives it a lighter touch, but it's only of personal preference of course!

This is the most brilliant recording I've ever seen
for me it would’ve been literally the best I’ve heard, but I feel like the microphone quality is hiding the true skill.

His playing is crystal clear for me and yeah it doesn't matter what the quality of the sound or the video is like because we've all listened to some old recordings of our favorite songs and I don't think the technology ever mattered.

크으...쇼팽 왈츠 중에서 가장 좋아하는 곡이라 해도 무방한 곡이네요. 제목처럼 화려하면서도 왈츠풍이니 마음에 안 들 수가 없네요. 게다가 황 선용 님의 해석까지 덧붙이니 금상첨화가 따로 없는 것 같습니다. 항상 바쁜 시기에 이런 양질의 영상을 제작해 주셔서 대단히 감사합니다!
추신: 음질은 조금 아쉽습니다만...그래도 괜찮습니다! 멋진 연주를 들을 수 있다는 것만으로도 행복합니다.
Excellent work! I can hear "forward drive" etc. advanced things, this piece has zero technical difficulties for you for sure.. Maybe sometimes with that instrument one might try lifting the pedal 1/10 of a second earlier on some of the 3rd beats, just a thought..

While my first time listening to listening, I thought, "Are repeated notes on that speed humanly possible?!" Indeed, Mr. Hwang is so skillful, when it comes to technique and interpretation.
