Our family had bubble lights from the late 1940s to late 1950s. All of our original lights were destroyed in a storage room arson fire at the apt complex where we lived around 1958. The lights were replaced with blinking and solid color lights but I missed the bubblers. When I reached my teens in the early 1960s I saved my money and bought replacement bubble light sets. They were my favorite lights even though you had to check each light to find the burned out one, being on a series circuit.

I just ordered a set and I am very much looking forward to putting them on our Christmas tree year after year. I've bought several strands of lights the last couple years from big box hardware stores and the quality was abysmal. 4 out of 6 strands of my LED icicle lights all had sections go out within a couple days of purchase or after just one season of use. The C9 incandescent lights I bought that reminded me of the big glass ones we had growing up all shattered while hanging or storing; laying them in the grass gently broke some of them!!! And they are hardly "cheap" anymore.
So because of all that, I have no problem buying high quality lights that are made in the USA that has people making them that genuinely seem to care about their product. They're going to be undoubtedly the best looking and longest lasting Christmas lights I have.

I actually have over $300.000 in molds and other stuff over 25 years. That is why they are so high. I have never come close to breaking even. Tom

I love to buy American but the ones I bought from Hobby Lobby were $15 for 7 lights and 6 sets were pushing my budget. Those definitely look like they glow better. My blue/purple ones are way too dark and look more like a black light.

For this price I would expect maintenance free low power LED illumination. The drop resistors necessary in the correct configuration can supply all the heat needed to bubble the methylene chloride.

Hi Thomas, I love your tree! I'm trying to figure out how to get these on white wire for a white tree or what could I use that they would fit into pre-made? I've been wanting bubble lights for many years, but prefer a white tree.
    Any suggestions would be helpful!

buy bubble lights with a green wire and buy white vinyl plastic paint and spray what is green ,white . the paint will last forever if you prep and do it correctly . just do not spray inside the sockets If you think they will be making white wire bubble lights you will be waiting forever

It is sad that they cost so much . I have tons of newer bubble lights and love them . I do want to buy Toms lights but the price is hard to take and I am a frugal millionaire , but I might do it anyway . Christopher Radko makes fabulous bubble lights . BUY RADKO
