I got to 5:11, said screw it, and just got the hair blower. I wasn't doing all this, just wanted to get to the fan and clean it, not completely take it apart to put it back together again like a NASA scientist
This dude, all you have to do is pry the tabs away from the latching pieces of plastic and it comes off fine. Shine a light in there n you’ll see what I’m talking about. No need to break plastic.
Hey do you think it's necessary to disassemble it this much? I started to take the ends off okay and blew some canned air inside the fan area. Any thoughts on full disassembly vs Air Duster? Thanks
@@Blap552 I would take it apart, if I were you. Because more than likely your thermal paste is dried out. I’d clean the old paste off and reapply new paste.
I cleaned my xbox 360 the right way I cleaned the system shell the motherboard the heat sinks the cooling fans the dvd tray gears and drive belt its how I fixed my original microsoft xbox original microsoft xbox 360 xbox 360 e and xbox 360 slim and they work excellent
It's not right that you need to break the molted Plastik on the side pannels. It is easily possible to remove the hole sides without removing the black pieces beforehand
“Otherwise you cant open the console” there’s a secret pin hole you can get to the clip inside that will allow you to take apart without breaking those tabs..
I followed the steps and put new thermal paste and when I turned it on with the controller the start button on the xbox was green. But there was no line saying the controller linked. The fan spinned but there was no vedio do you have any suggestions what went wrong?
It didn't make any sound, the controller didn't connect it just kept blinking even though I was able to turn on the console through the controller. and I tried another hdmi cable still didn't work.
@@bellz53 Red ring has been fixed for since 2007. Try taking the hhd out, & putting it back in. It's been 6 months. So this is probably irrelevant AF.
Someone is asking me 220EUR to clean 7 consoles that I have from inside and apply where cooling paste is needed. Is that a good price? Any idea? I just feel like I am so clumsy to mess up somewhere.
Prices vary from a country to another and that also may depend of their skills. I cannot tell if that’s a good price or not, but you’re afraid of doing damage to your console, I suggest to take it to a professional
This is way more complicated than I thought. Maybe I’ll just shoot the fucking thing and buy another one.
😂😂😂😂😂

@danielmartin3811 LOL I blew it out w/some Air Duster can but good idea, I'll get the hair dryer!! Game-On Man!😂
I just cleaned the motherboard and fan of my xbox 360 slim, didn’t risk thermal paste.
i thought you was a man and not a boi.

I watched two different videos. I watched another one of the guy taking it apart properly and then I watched this guy to do the motherboard and stuff

Great video man what a pain doing this first time i must say mine was clean looks like il have to go all the way and replace the thermal paste:(
Thanks for the vedio. Just bought a 360 from a yard sale and wanted to take it apart to clean :)

You probably missed something when reassembling, try to reassemble it again
@@YesterdaysTechIs there anything specific that might cause no vedio output problem?
Are you sure your cable is working? Have you tried with an AV RCA cable? I see no reason for not working
Does it have sound?

I cleaned dozens of xbox 360 slims
I've done everything now it wont turn on 😢 Might be when I put the thermal paste on?
Most probably you did not re connect all the cables correctly
@@YesterdaysTech Yeah the button for the on off was on wrong thank you! But I've got a red ring if death anyways now haha
@@bellz53 i thought of doing it now your comment made me not to do that myself and do the tech its job
