We found a kitchen counter/cabinet someone was giving away free, brought it home, sanded it, painted it with leftover paint, sealed it with varathane , added a Plywood bottom with casters & voilá... we have a rolling, outdoor BBQ prep station for minimal $$; it's amazing! We also took some nightstands, coffee tables, & other indoor furniture free from that same haul, painted with exterior weatherproof paint, & made those our patio furniture. They look amazing too, & all we used was sandpaper & leftover paint.... It's amazing what you can repurpose, if you think outside the box!
My new husband's house is full of 80's oak furniture. It's beautiful wood but now too dark and out of style. Piece by piece I plan to paint them ivory or pale grey. Even the kitchen is all dark wood cabinets and table. Oh so much work ahead!
The Graphic Fairy has lovely old illustrations you can download and scale to any size. I traced one French black and white candy store ad and went over the lines with an oil chased Sharpie on a thrift ed dresser. It is gorgeous!
By the time you buy all of these elements and do all of this, you'll find you could have easily bought something comparable for the same price and none of the work.

The little blue night stand is cute
I think it’s a great idea especially if you have items around the house to complete it. Thanks for sharing
I guess I'm a person who loves the simple beauty of stained wood. Painted pieces are just not for me, but others may really appreciate them.

I have never seen such a functional kitchen island that was amazing
It looked too high to me.
I like when they do the longer videos
Fabulous ideas. Loved the music...what artist is this .
Great ideas 💡❤
Great suggestions. Thank you.
With the cost of wood today I can’t see these projects being cost effective. I’d rather start off with a used piece and go from there.
I agree. Re-furbishing an old or damaged piece of furniture is the way to go.
You can add flats wood to found pieces of furniture to copy high end wood looks. ∆d
I get my wood from the country road side, after construction crews have left it there for free picking.
What interesting & unique ideas to liven up your home! 💜
Nice ideas but the music is worth hitting repeat a couple of times 🎶🎶🎶
Cool 👍🏼 🍁🍂🦃🍂🍁
Several of these are just accidents waiting to happen - serious accidents where someone gets hurt and needs to visit an emergency room.

Where’s the fun in that?
I prefer instruction to the music
Hopefully the 3/4s of these people get the help they are so desperately screaming out for
The ideas are cute but the colors, yuck.
Yeh I'd use natural wood colors & wood from pallets to save on cost ( not time) JesusBeLuv∆d
Love natural wood colors best but as an artist I like the colorful bright colors brighten areas the furniture gets put in. JesusBeluv∆d
