dont lie. when you played this part of the game . you felt you yourself was at war and was ready to kill anyone that was not of tsushima. and the goosebumps were on high alert . heh.

When this music started i wanted to jump in the battle itself and scream out *FOR YARIKAWA!* along with Jin and the rest of Yarikawa people. How many of you felt the same during this scene?
Just like when i hear "The Last Samurai" soundtrack or when i see a Haka video. Its a f^#^ call to war to me. Don't get me wrong;im not all that macho;id die in real battle in 1 min or less;but nonetheless i hear it and im instantly transported.
This is like: "Jin! You have at least 3 or 4 armors now! Give me one and i'll be able to help!" That feeling.
I wanted to run alongside Jin and the rest of Yarikawa across the bridge to drive the Mongols out.

I know im a year late playing this game but I have just finished this mission....
I kid you not, as soon as I pressed slaughter and saw Jin peirce and decapitate the mongol general, it felt like the raging part of me went all in and played its role... As soon as Jin and the others start charging forward to the mongols, it felt like all my frustrations and anger were fueling the attacks; almost without taking damage.
It's like I was feeling what Jin Sakai was feeling in that moment, finally letting go and putting it all out against the invaders to his advantage (God did I grow passionate for this game fellas! They really went all out on making this a great driven story).
Honestly alot of this game had me feel like this when taka was killed I felt jins anger when he slaughtered this Mongol general I felt that rage I felt like a part od my humanity was lost I felt like I became the moster Jin did when Jin would fight against his uncle I felt his anger I felt his sadness this game man it's perfect in every sense of the word I have never had a game do what this one has
Dude I was legit yelling “For Yarikawa!” when Jin charged the Mongols with the peasants and Yarikawa samurai. It was like the middle of the night.
They should implement a replay mechanics on mission, i can't play all the game again only for this mission.....but i will.
That would be great yeah, taking the castles too would be awesome to replay but the battle of Yarikawa would top the list

Now that I think about it, Ghost of Tsushima is if berserk was in Feudal Japan. Just think about it.
You got realistic human rage/terrorism, graphic detail in death and blood, limbs and heads are cut off. Jin starts taking actions out of his emotions. And best friends betraying each other. And even the Ghost armor when you fully upgrade it reminds of Guts’s black swordsman armor. The long, black cape with the sword sticking out of the right (Jins left) shoulder.

This was the moment where Jim was no longer a samurai, he’s the entire fucking clan.
In this part jin delivered the most valuable bad ass speech in the whole game.
I'll never forget my reaction to slaughtering General Temuge. I had to pause to take it all in. I pretty much had Coryxkenshin's reaction to it.

"Why do you always come back to this game ?" Because I am not here for the amazing music or the magnificent duels and gameplay. Or the beautiful world and well written story and characters. I am here because of Jin, a single man struggling after losing everything. He still fights and pulls himself out of the abyss, he is the greatest protagonist in the whole of fiction next to Guts from Berserk. And when I believed I could not do it, Jin Sakai reminded me to always get back up and keep fighting. That is what this song embodies. The act of struggling and still getting back up, evolved but untamed.
The momentum felt when the score kicked in and everyone's charging with you was incredible

Ghost stance getting unlocked was sick
Best mission in the game and one of the best missions in gaming history. This is the moment Jin truly starts to realize that the honorable values of a samurai will not save his home. He has to become something more to save the innocents on the island and to prevent the invasion of mainland Japan. It's not until to end of Act 2 that he accepts his new identity as the ghost but it's the ending of this battle that makes him realize that the people need something more than a samurai to rally behind.

This always makes me hyped as fuck, i was doing a workout to this song, and i can’t describe how hyped it made me. This moment lives rent free in my mind, and i’m not getting rid of it anytime soon.
OMG how I wish THIS SCENE, PART of the game WOULD'VE LASTED until I met up with Khotun Khan final battle, Slashing and Slaying my way with Ghost Stance RAGE nonstop while this music keeps playing towards MY path to victory. Fear, Chasing after, and Beheading all who stood in my way. I mean it was cut too short, like maybe 5 minutes or so of the siege of Yarikawa. After the bridge SLASHING CHAOS it shouldn't have stopped, for example giving me the option or choice to keep going in Super Rage mode all the way to the final boss, or to go along with the story line of Yarikawa people siding with Shimura speech.

This is the tale, of The Ghost Of Tsushima
Jin Sakai, nephew to Lord Shimura, was once a great, and powerful samurai. When the Mongols invaded, he was among the 80 samurai who aimed to slow the mongol army's takeover. While attempting to help his uncle he was gravely wounded after a great explosion of the Mongols fire weapons. Some say Sakai died on the beach that day, and that where his body lay, next to the fabled Sakai Katana, the spirit of his father imbued Jins fallen body with spirit of a demon, a vengeful ghost, fuled by the rage and fear of the island of tsushima itself.
Legends say that The Ghost Of Tsushima could dissapear into a cloud of mist. That his claws could be thrown into the throats of his mongol victims. The Ghost is said to have the ability to cast curses and spells, causing his foes to die a slow painful death, or influencing them to fight their allies like crazed rats. He could even light the fabled Sakai katana aflame at will. He could create noises in the night to lure his victims to their death, cause large explosions not unlike that which wounded him at komoda, and fire a bow more accurately than Tadayori himself. His sword arm equally deadly, The Ghost was the last living practitioner of Shiganori's heavenly strike, The Dance of Wrath, and he was so skilled, amd so deadly, that he he created the fabled Ghost stance, a sword technique where the practitioner channels all their rage and pain into their blade, which was so powerful it could kill a man with a single slash, terrifying all who would come to wittnes it.
As word spread of this terrifying spirit of vengeance, The Ghost single handedly managed to eradicate the mongol presence from tsushima, able to silently take the lives of every mongol in enormous encampments in mere minutes, freeing the captives the Mongols took prisoner as he went.
Whether Jin Sakai truly died that day on the beach, will forever remain a mystery, but one thing is for certain, on that day, the Ghost of Tsushima, slayer of Khotun Kahn himself, hero of the people of tsushima, embodiment of rage and fear incarnate

Westerners like the word "samurai", but in Japan at that time, it was more popular to call it "bushi", "buke", "bujin", "bumon" instead of "samurai". In more polite words, your opinion may be correct maybe in those times other terms methods and styles were used than depicted by the game otherwise if youre looking for historical accuracies you won't find them here but you can also enjoy the game and have your opinion
Maybe but Sucker Punch's not dumb. People know what are Samurai, they don't know the word "Bushi or Buke". People know the famous swords Katana, they don't know that they actually didn't exist yet. I could continue but my point is clear. It's not a documentary, it's a video game. And they never said it had to be historically accurate. They only wanted the game to feel like feudal Japan, which they did.
While mentionning all your stuff you seem to have forgot the obvious that there was no Samurai named Jin Sakai nephew to a Jito named Lord Shimura who has stopped the invasion all by himself and the help of a few peasants. But I guess it would be too obvious? You wouldn't feel like a smartass.
And? Still an awesome game. Historical accuracy ain't that important in the grand scheme of things. Its entertainment and presentation, not accuracy.
