- Le peuple des Rito (Piaf en français) ont un excellent thème musical depuis Windwaker. La nouvelle version présente dans Tears of the Kingdom vaut la peine d'être entendu. Voici un petit comparatif!
colgera boss version sounds like something I’d imagine a Zelda movie to have.
💯 FAX 👏
After how well the Mario movie did, it's not unlikely to happen.
Man, yeah. That would be great.
@@EPadraigM indeed, but a Zelda movie needs to be more than 1h30 and not too childish for it to be good imo
@@Nicbill10 and not made by illumination
I like how the boss themes always incorporate some of the village themes as well, to remind you who you're fighting for, and who you must save.
this comment made me cry omg
@@its.merebear Yay, I'm a good writer!
In all seriousness though, that just goes to show how good this game is when analyzed.
@@Bored_OverthinkerThe game of the year !
Comment of my life.
@@IdentifiantE.S Hell yeah!
I really appreciate the fact that they took molgera, a boss from the wind temple of the wind waker, and put it in the wind temple of TotK, and already set up the Rito village theme to be the theme of dragon roost island. It’s all been planned to be a tribute to the wind waker. Maybe even a present for the 20th anniversary
The very existence of the Rito is just the confirmation of Wind Waker.
It's interesting the games now have both rito and zora
Weird though because Colgera has very little in common with Molgera. It looks and behaves a lot closer to Twinmold from Majora's Mask.
@@hypotheticaltapeworm
Colgera is the successor of the “mol” family of monsters. It shares several characteristics with them, including the elongated, segmented, insectoid body, with multiple eyes and biting pincers. It also shares Lanmola, Twinmold, and Molgera’s “burrowing” ability; albeit in the form of teleportation through its storms. Which is fitting for it being a flying, storm-based member of the family.
@@ninboy01 I think "mol" usually means ground/sand from what I can tell. Moldorm, Lanmola, Twinmold, Moldworm, Molderach, Molgera, and Molduga are all sand-dwelling creatures. I think it comes from "mole", like the burrowing animal.
Oh, yeah, anyway I just meant Colgera looks nothing like Molgera to me lol. Molgera has huge, flappy jaws while Colgera has angular, pincer-like jaws closer to a beetle. Molgera also looks a lot more fleshy than Colgera's more obvious exoskeleton. Its body segments are closer to Twinmold's than Molegra's too. If any boss from the Wind Waker, it looks like Gohma, just with a lot more eyes. This boss is far more insect-like. Molgera has more in common with Moldugas, imo.
Ohhhhhh so that's why the Rito Village soundtrack felt so natural to me. I never really picked up on it that it was from Dragon Roost Island ost.
Sameeeee! But in Totk I was flashed! I directly thought of dragon root
I recognized the wind waker memories straight away 😄
Leitmotif is real
@@lukas_jennithit's not even a leitmotif it's the whole theme
@@bohemianharpsicord4294 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
Actually the winter Rito Village theme in TOTK is underrated, it changes the atmosphere so much…
real

I never played Windwaker. But I am a huge music nerd so listen to all the iconic tracks.
When i heard the theme in that boss battle in TOTK...i got the biggest wave if chills ever. My god this game
Bro I almost cried when I heard the theme at this TOTK boss
Makes me wanna buy a Wii and play windwaker for the first time

@@Bigshotpuppetit's worth it. An absolute masterpiece of a game.
A great cast and a fleshed out ganondorf with a personality, you should give it a try
Same when I realize that the rito village song is different (before fighting the boss) it almost made me cry
Colgera is my absolute favourite boss in all of Botw and Totk so far, sure it’s easy but the spectacle makes it amazing
Same here. The way you fight in the air the entire time with Tulin as your wingman (literally) as support was magnificent 🤌✨
@@ZoSo_x The music just going at it while you use yourself as a bullet to hurt the boss is amazing
i did the rito village route first (just completed it yesterday actually), and *holy shit* it was probably the best game moment i have played in a while. the setting of rito village being mostly empty, tulin, the big cyclone in the sky, and the fact that i was practically eating food items to stay alive from the cold effect during the entire bossfight with only half a heart left upon defeating it gave such an emotional feeling mini-story of sorts, i'm going to go to zora's domain next and see if it is also badly affected by the upheaval because *man* totk is the best game i have played in a while
editing like 2 weeks later: damn they just forgot to clean the water filter in the fish tank they'll be alright
@@theman13532 Get ready to fight shiver from splatoon for the boss there
@@Swaxeman for me the boss feels more like a majoras mask boss
This is the ONLY time I regretted learning trumpet over flute.
The flute in the colgera theme did not need to go so hard but I'm glad it did
its never too late to learn another, Im at saxophone, flute, trumpet, and keys
@@HugeChad69wow, you learned keys? You must be amazing at opening doors
I’ve never played Wind Waker before, but the way they used that theme for the Colgera fight almost made me cry. The build up of the original Molgera boss music transitioning into this great climax of Dragon Roost was so impactful it hit in a place I don’t even have. Masterful composition
Three games. One epic song.
This is why I love these three games.
Thanks Nintendo
it's perfect in every version 😌
Yes. 🤝
I better hear the Colgera rito Theme during the symphony performance of the Game of the Year nominees in december.
You bet your ass we will
@@frederickglass1583 you’re so confident. I hope so too!
Eustache is going to be absolutely destroying a flute during Colgera
@@Eagle_SFM lmao nice one but it's pyper who plays the flute 😂
Most likely its going to be the main theme tho :/
The fact that they did this. This game is a masterpiece. Extremely well done and thought through.
The first theme feels like a classic even if botw was my first game
The second theme is makes use of my favorite instrument so im bias tward it
An the third theme my lord i wish the boss its attached to was a longer fight due to this theme
at least you can fight it anytime you want and listen to the first 30 seconds of this before you once more erase it from existence
As far as I know, there are three colgeras hidden in the depths. Well, I don’t know if their eerie, loud cries and flapping would deem them “hidden”, but ahem… One of them is underneath Gerudo Desert, near the spot where Vah Naboris used to be in the overworld, and two of them are near the north-western edge of the map, right under Hebra. It helps if you have the lightroots because you can see the huge arena that they fly around in.
@@berry.1uvr THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Bit of a long comment but I feel like I have to say it here!
Wind Waker was my first ever video game. My brothers would bring in the GameCube when I was a kid bc I was bedridden a lot of my early childhood and let me play Wind Waker while they watched and laughed.
Dragon Roost Island was my absolute favorite place in that game and the music was killer. I decided to pick up a Switch in 2020 and played Breath of the Wild finally. I had no idea my favorite place, and my favorite Zelda species would be in the game with a beautiful rendition of the OG theme. It felt like seeing an old friend and I’m not ashamed to say I cried and called one of my brothers to talk about it lol.
And then last week I got to the Colgera battle in Tears of the Kingdom immediately hearing the Molgera theme from the Wind Temple in the Wind Waker and then got to the last phase…. Hearing that absolute sweeping melody of Dragon Roost/ Rito Village made it really feel like fighting for home.
I can’t properly explain how this feels but…it feels really good. I love this franchise, I love this game, and I hope y’all can too :)))
Sitting outside listening to this on a breezy day, and the breeze just picked up right when the dragon roost motif starts in the Colgera theme. Actually gave me chills.
Dragon Roost in TOTK legitimately made me cry. I loved fighting Colgera.
The best boss of TOTK !
Fighting Colgera for the first time with Tulin screaming in your ear as you dive to the sound of the choir reaching crescendo was the first time I ever legitimately got chills during a Zelda game, and was one of the most heroic moments in the series for me. Finding out that the music is basically the theme from Dragon Roost Island made it even better, as if the spirit of the past Heroes are right there cheering you on.
Nostalgia be hitting different these days
FOR REAL THOOOOO
This
Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I played, it's one of ny favorites and I got so many memories with it. The moment I recognized Dragon Roost Theme when fighting Colgera felt absolutely surreal. It's one of those feelings I wish I could experience for the first time again, this game is absolutely magical.
Rito village, it’s my favorite Town in this world
It's a bummer that the bassline isn't heard in game on WW/HD, it's so essential
Yeah it is?
@@watchf It isn't, only the OST and Smash have the bass
With that and the missing percussion, they just feel so anemic.
No way!! That is a crime! I never played the HD version of WW, just been praying for a switch remaster. I swear, if they ever make it and frick that up.
@@musachi5999
The version in the game ( original and Wii U remaster) doesn't have the bass
The bass was added in the soundtrack version only
There was also another version, one that played before unfreezing rito village
Yea that one sounds very similar to the windwaker version
Dragon Roost in TOTK was so epic
My heart nearly stopped when I heard that bit in the Colgera bossfight.
The best boss of the game !
The music "Dragon Roost Island" is present in the show of the musketeers of Richelieu at Puy du Fou
the first boss music I heard in tears of the kingdom. nintendo were coming out swinging
its insane how versitile this melody is
TOTK’s version managed to do something to me that no other game has in many years now.
It brought me back to a time, 10 years ago, in ALL it’s glory! The magical Wind Waker feelings, and powerful goosebumps as well as tears that no other game manages to give me.
At that moment, I did not experience Nostalgia that makes me reminisce the past, in an partially faded way. That moment I WAS 10 years back!!
I was the kid in my bedroom, who played and loved Wind Waker with all his heart, and made unforgettable memories. ❤ I also was the person who played Ocarina of Time too.
Because TOTK managed to bring back a magical feeling of the Zelda games, that frankly BOTW was nowhere near close to achieving. (Lack of music, story and cutscenes, well designed and unique dungeons with unique bosses, etc.)
In my eyes, BOTW was an experiment. But TOTK is a REAL Zelda game! What BOTW was trying to be.
Perfectly put
i applaud your ability to capture the nature of how this game is affecting existing fans of the series
BOTW >>>>>>>>>>
Yes yes yes
I love this musical phrase so much, it came from my favorite Zelda game growing up and followed into the new era of Zelda that changed the world of gaming
Colgera's theme needs to be at the climax of the Zelda movie
I swear if I hear a version of this song I go into nostalgia mode, wind waker was the first Zelda game I played
Wind waker sounds childish, adventurous, friendly, like what it meant to be wind waker an adventure on a ship, BoTW sounds nostalgic, homecoming, like sitting on a campfire, but Colgera's theme, ToTK, sounds epic, sound grandious, glorious,it elevates original theme to its best performance.
huge windwaker fanboy, the rito parts of botw and totk are my favorite for all the callbacks and homages to that beautiful game
Colgera theme already gives me nostalgia for some reason, even though it's only been a month...
(probably from all the dragon roost motifs I guess)
Idk why it took me so long to realize that those were versions of the Dragon roost theme, this brings me back to when I was a childhood and I played Wind Waker all day on my GameCube
just learned there was some string at the start of rito village theme
The Tears of the kingdom version is epic. One of my favorite Zelda musical pieces now.
I love every version, but colgera is just musical gold
When I heard rito village's ost in totk, I thought it sounded familiar, then I remembered wind waker! so I searched on RUclips to see if other people noticed that too, & I found this video ^^
totk seems to have improve the botw formula by adding back cool bosses and musics
where's the slowed version from TotK? The one you hear in the beginning when it's still covered in snow?
Thats the first phase
I think windwaker does it best but totk sounds the coolest
Thank you for giving me a smile for good music
Come on Studio Ghibli, Illumination already proved that the world is ready for Nintendo Cinematic Universe. The ball is in your court for a Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf series.
We want a Zelda Ghibli !
Incredible work done with this boss theme. Need to dissect the others im sure they have similar elements
Zelda fans really eating good with all this homage and nostalgia fan service huh
Though the BotW and TotK soundtracks are cool the Wind Waker Dragon Roost theme will always be superior imo. I haven’t played Wind Waker in so long, I’d love to actually beat the game bc all the other times I’ve played, I was too scared to hit anything and would have my dad do all of the fighting parts for me lol, ESPECIALLY the giant squids that slowly pull you towards them via the huge whirlpool. I def preferred sandbox games lol
1st: Dragon Roost Island
2nd: Colgera Boss
3nd: Rito Village
Awesome video! Truly great that someone decided to make this comparison of all three games
Best Zelda theme imho.
the og will always have a special place in my heart, but the totk one just hits different.
One of my all time favourite Zelda tunes!!! Each iteration is great.
Joder si hicieran una película de Zelda y Que Aparezca Estos Temazos..DIOS Lloraría Al Instante 😭
the only problem with colgera is that if you do it first, it makes all the other boss fights feel so small in comparison
I've never played Wind Waker before, but since I beat Colgera and had the chance to listed to that amazing music again, and again... And again, I've had a itchy feeling of needing to play WW, I'm currently just before the fourth temple (temple of thunder) the urge to play WW has gotten so bad I decided to stop playing ToTK just to play WWHD for the first time, I've been enjoying it so far, yesterday I got the Master Sword and started the whole "revitalize it" questline. It's such a chill and beautiful game, I regret not playing it sooner, maybe circumstances weren't at its most relevant for me.
But to be honest, I didn't expect WW to be so relevant in ToTK, I thought SS was going to be the most relevant game in there since it didn't shine as much in BotW.
needless to say, I loved WW, very nice
I love them all but in TOTK I cried like a baby listening to this
damn guys, this songs alwasys make me cry cuz i feel im back to the first time i played wind waker
Tears of the kingdom version just gives me chills!
En TWW la música se siente como para emprender una aventura, en BotW se transmite paz, y en TotK el inicio de una batalla épica
Las 3 versiones son tan buenas que es imposible elegir mi favorita.
Botw/totk doesnt have any iconic music like its predecessors but hearing the original rito music remixed multiple times in both games will never get old.
To me, Kass’s theme is iconic
bro what
there's a shitton of iconic music from those games lmao, some of the music is quieter than previous titles but still just as stellar imo
@@new__guy ok good for you but I can't name any lmao
@@MaryamPlays I’d say the TotK theme and Kass’s legendary theme are pretty Iconic
BRO THE TOTK DEVS WERE COOKING WITH COLGERA’S THEME HOLY
2:08 is rlly good ngl
wheni heard rito village in totk. i knew it sounded sad i thought "did an avalanche hit this place?"
Zelda 🥰🥰🤭 so mf glad this series is still around mane
This is just bringing back wind waker tears
What that is like so deadly cool I never knew that dragon roost island was in both breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom im totally going to play both of those games now
Zelda and Xenoblade are responsible for making me able to recognise leitmotifs.
esa si que es tremenda evolucion musical
With Wind Waker HD being my first Zelda game, I’m ashamed I never caught on to any of this until now.
I FUCKING LOVE WINDWAKER'S SOUND TRACK
Bro I remember fighting colgera and hearing that rito village/dragon roost island leitmotif and it was awesome lol
Perfection
They act like three legends cannot coexist
Somehow I never noticed the leitmotifs! How did I never notice it before?
Actually the last song is in the boss fight with colgera not the theme for rito village
Why is it so aggressive in totk😭
Its from a boss
It’s a boss theme
thats why i felt it was too familiar
Pense que habia sido el unico que habia notado el parecido musical entre estos temas
I don't understand why you are comparing two town musics to a boss one tbh
wind waker: prepare to v i b e
botw: prepare to chill
totk *prepare your ass*
Wind wakers them will always be better due to nostalgia reasons
The BOTW version is my least favorite, I feel like I'm in an Italian restaurant munching on a bread stick waiting for my Bolognese until the chorus kicks in.
I don't sense it?
It might just be my dumb brain but i cant hear it 😑
Nvm i hear it now
1:45
Wind waker stomp
He picked the wrong one for TotK😂😂
Obviously Wind waker, the other two sucks.
What a L statement
All are good
A lot of the people on the comments saying they have never played wind waker 🥹 you should it’s such a good Zelda game
