4/7/24. This is my first time watching this video. I was not watching RUclips in 2020. I was unaware of how Yvonne became the owner of Uniek. My heart is broken for Yvonne now that she has lost her beautiful Queen. To those who donated toward the purchase of a Dream, you allowed them to share the rest of Unieks' life together. 💔🌹🥀🌈👑
It was my first time seeing this video too. I haven't been able to watch the last video. I just saw the announcement and started bawling my eyes out. I always assumed she was a foal some other horse gave birth to on their farm that she raised.
She was Yvonne’s horse for the past 3 years and they were a wonderful team having nearly 15 years total together her loss is a huge one but she had an amazing life with her human.
I’m so grateful for those original herd members that Uniek was sold to Yvonne. With the recent sad news I’m so glad they had this extra 3 1/2 years together.
Watching this for the first time, I wasn't aware of how Yvonne and Uniek came to be. What a wonderful heartwarming beginning, that came from the goodness of people and it must bring great comfort to Yvonne that they had this precious time together. Oftentimes life, its ups and down just seem to happen. All we can do is hang on while trying to be the best versions of ourselves as we try to stand strong in the face of adversity, like a willow bending with the strong winds, while trying to remember at the most difficult of times to live, love and laugh. Long live Uniek in our memories, in her offspring, in Risey. To Yvonne its been such a blessing to share this with you. And how you fought hard to regain your life after your injury (still are). You're an inspiration 💙 to many, to me, a testimont that the human spirit is only limited by our abilities to imagine the impossible. Take care 🙏

Such a beautiful video, I remember the excitement in Yvonne's voice not believing it, such a beautiful day. Now watching in April 24 our beautiful Uniek is no longer with us 😢 but we are so lucky to have so many wonderful videos of her, so we can watch her anytime. Elsewhere on this thread, I answered an absolutely caustic comment aimed toward the fans who helped Yvonne purchase this mare. If you guys will humor an old, slightly bent up 68 year old horsewoman, I'd like to stick my 2 cents in ;-) First of all, when I give someone a GIFT to show my appreciation, the last thing I expect, is for anyone, especially a total stranger, to decide that I shouldn't have done so. It's NO ONE'S BUSINESS who you decide to give a GIFT to. The anonymity of being behind a keyboard has brought out not only the BEST in humanity, but also the WORST among us. Most of the derogatory comments are coming from people who are living sorry, lonely lives and they cannot fathom anyone being so generous as to actually give someone a horse. To these people (who have probably never received anything of substance), it seems horribly unfair so they act out much like the spoiled child who didn't get the biggest lollipop. It's actually quite sad. This channel that Yvonne and her crew have built and continue to work so hard on, gives immense pleasure to over a million people (many who watch are not subscribers, so yes... over a million). A lot of the folks who come here are suffering from illnesses that prevent them from living active lives. Many are elderly, or otherwise shut in, and their few minutes spent here every day make them feel happy and ALIVE. For these gentle people, giving $2 or $5 to help Yvonne keep a horse that they have become fond of, is not only money well spent, but it has made them feel like they are a part of something good, and...they are :-) The bottom line, is that no one has the right to tell you who you should or should not, give a gift to. No one. They don't get to do that. I'm going to stop responding to the people who criticize buying Uniek, but I will still feel sorry for them, and I hope that someday they can find peace in their dreary, hateful, judgmental lives. Watching beautiful horses, just being horses is what I live for. Sometimes, in this tough life, something wonderful happens, you're not much of a person if you can't share in the joy of making someone happy! Sadly, there's a lot of joy thieves around, that's their problem.

I subscribed to this channel when Rising Star came into their life. I did not know this story! How beautiful! I’ve been binge watching since I heard of Yvonne’s accident and got her on many prayer lists. Praying she recovers and is able to be back in stal G soon.
I'm new like you. But I searched and found a video about the terrible accident on their property. I am concerned that Uniek was expected to be her horse of choice and evil people created a hole or obstruction to deliberately cause the accident, and it helps GoFundMe to make THEIR money, too, so it will be covered up easily by this organized crime. For Uniek to lose two foals in a row - I bet she was hit with a laser weapon. They make all kinds now, including CAUSING heart attacks.
This vid just popped up in my feed again, nearly 3 months after Q Uniek passed. She really did stay with Yvonne forever. And good on Rein again for giving a decent price. Hope his heart is doing good these days.
I want to give special thanks to Rein, too. He seems like such a generous and amazing person. You could see it in his eyes he is not doing it for the money he has an immeasurable love for the breed. The cares for these animals must be so expensive, too. And Uniek really is an amazing mare and also pregnant! I believe he could have sold her to another buyer for more money but wanted with his full heart for the Queen to stay with her herd. I believe...yvonne has achieved very high levels of dressage with uniek...I believe yvonne is one of the top dressage riders in the Netherlands if not further beyond....uniek and yvonne have been in many of the 600 videos yvonne has posted if you ever get a chance to go back and watch them...YVONNE AND UNIEK HAVE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME BOND AND IT WAS A MUST THEY STAY TOGETHER....uniek could have been sold anywhere in the reasonable world

Many breeders close off part of their heart to protect it. I am so happy for Yvonne and Uniek! Owning a horse was also my childhood dream. I was 15yrs old when my dad finally agreed. His friend had a beautiful gelding, chestnut, with 4 white socks, for sale. Unfortunately that plan fell through, my dad was killed by a drunk driver a month before I was to get Blaze. I have been 'Friesian crazy' since I found this podcast. A few yrs ago my husband found, on Craigslist, a 17.2 hand gorgeous black horse, he was 3/4 Friesian, for only $8000. The horse had no training. I guess the point is, the Friesians we are watching here have champion bloodlines etc, but what drives the cost way up is the training. Rightfully so. That takes a lot of time and work. I declined his offer to buy me that horse. I have also given up on my plan to get a wild mustang. In the U.S. the bureau of land management will give u $1000 for each horse or donkey u adopt. I'm too old now so I'm content to watch these vds and volunteer at horse rescues and will probably foster a rescue horse.

I am concerned that Uniek was expected to be her horse of choice and evil people created a hole or obstruction to deliberately cause the accident, and it helps GoFundMe to make THEIR money, too, so it will be covered up easily by this organized crime. For Uniek to lose two foals in a row - I bet she was hit with a laser weapon. They make all kinds now, including CAUSING heart attacks.

This vid just popped up in my feed again, nearly 3 months after Q Uniek passed. She really did stay with Yvonne forever. And good on Rein again for giving a decent price. Hope his heart is doing good these days.
I want to give special thanks to Rein, too. He seems like such a generous and amazing person. You could see it in his eyes he is not doing it for the money he has an immeasurable love for the breed. The cares for these animals must be so expensive, too. And Uniek really is an amazing mare and also pregnant! I believe he could have sold her to another buyer for more money but wanted with his full heart for the Queen to stay with her herd. I believe...yvonne has achieved very high levels of dressage with uniek...I believe yvonne is one of the top dressage riders in the Netherlands if not further beyond....uniek and yvonne have been in many of the 600 videos yvonne has posted if you ever get a chance to go back and watch them...YVONNE AND UNIEK HAVE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME BOND AND IT WAS A MUST THEY STAY TOGETHER....uniek could have been sold anywhere in the reasonable world

Many breeders close off part of their heart to protect it. I am so happy for Yvonne and Uniek! Owning a horse was also my childhood dream. I was 15yrs old when my dad finally agreed. His friend had a beautiful gelding, chestnut, with 4 white socks, for sale. Unfortunately that plan fell through, my dad was killed by a drunk driver a month before I was to get Blaze. I have been 'Friesian crazy' since I found this podcast. A few yrs ago my husband found, on Craigslist, a 17.2 hand gorgeous black horse, he was 3/4 Friesian, for only $8000.
The horse had no training. I guess the point is, the Friesians we are watching here have champion bloodlines etc, but what drives the cost way up is the training. Rightfully so. That takes a lot of time and work. I declined his offer to buy me that horse. I have also given up on my plan to get a wild mustang. In the U.S. the bureau of land management will give u $1000 for each horse or donkey u adopt. I'm too old now so I'm content to watch these vds and volunteer at horse rescues and will probably foster a rescue horse.
these are the best friesians in the world...can't get any better...they practice very careful breeding procedures
