Hello, just followed your post.. very much helpfull. I have the intrument cluster changed from the old owner, i was able to change the millage. The issue is that i cannot change the vin on the IKE. Its telling me that i need to factory reset before performing this action. The problem is that the factory reset is greyed out and cannot be click. Do you have any idea about this.

Hi, i‘m repairing a fire damaged E46 and have been supplied a used LCM, following your instructions to 1st check for correct algorithm in the support list, it only finds a partial algorithm match HC912-12 coloured in red and the part number is different, does this mean i cant match to the car.?

Hi. I have a different case. My LCM is at the correct Odometer reading but my IKE Cluster is not. Can I code it using your method but for the Cluster instead of the LCM?
Also would like to know this as well. Have a donor cluster with original LCM. Is software enough, or do we have to unsolder chip inside of cluster then reprogram?
To fix the odometer in the cluster you need to desolder the chip from the board and reprogram it (there are people on the internet that do this as a service). Desoldering is a problem if you dont have the skils and tools. Alternative is a hack where you set the speed factor so that the miles increase much faster (for example x100), you then drive the car precisely until you reach the desired miles and then reset the speed factor. This is a tricky hack, but can be done.

Rather than the opposite as in the video.

it will work on all windows , you have to disable driver signing in safe mode after that it will install , hope this helps you .

So if I have an e46 and wanted to swap the cluster I can and the car will start with no issues?
