Ashgourd (Diced)
Coconut Oil - 2 spoon
Dry chilli - 5 nos
Fenugreek - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Grated Coconut - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Curd - 2 cup
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves
Mustard - 1/2 spoon

It is not mor குழம்பு.it is தாங்கர் பச்சடி. Because of urad dal. it's better to use toor dal in making mor குழம்பு.our முன்னோர்கள் toor dal தான் use பண்ணினாங்க
Will try this variant. In the traditional mor kuzhambu itself i use seasoning of mustard,vendayam,pinch of Omarm,little jeera and it gives nice flavorful taste.

Super different version of moor kuzalmbu
We are tanjore marharashtrians and we prepare this, with a small difference that we add some tamarind water too- you call it ' iru puli kuzhambu' cos it has got the sour taste of two things moar and puli- it tastes great
In Tirunelveli side we take only vendayam,red chillies and coconut for irupuli kuzambu..

V though born n brought up from Mumbai v r from Palghar v make this Mourkuttan similar but without ulandu n jeera n coconut fresh so no heating but it vl b lovely with papadam

We palghat people make this. We don't add urad dal only methi ,red chilli nd coconut. We call it pulingari. We make it with buttermilk nd sometimes with puli also. Sometimes we add manga with pooshanikai nd reduce d quantity of buttermilk.

All these koottu, masiyal are added Puli, not poricha koottu. Instead of sambar these koottu, masiyal to be added in rice
