Flew over to Amsterdam from London to watch them live and this song was so heavy live, I was totally blown away by it. Adams tone on the outer riff was just so dirty it was unreal.
I'm totally addicted to TOOL music. Once you start to listen a song you'll not be able to stop from listening all the album. It's like drug maybe more strong and more addiction....... Trust me I stopped listening music that isn't TOOL 😂😂😂🎶🎶🎶
I was there in SLC when they whipped this out. I lost my shit and was so stoked I started getting emotional. Sounds lame, but it was a powerful song to witness live. My favorite off of Undertow.
I’m talking about the two sounds he makes in the first few measures of the song. He does it like twice, and he sounds like zak Wylde or something... like it’s just for laughs or whatever. Honestly I can’t think of any tool song that has that type of playing style
maynard can still pull off the angry vocals, when he feels like it.
William Alarie but now they kinda slow down the song tempo little. But overall the anger still there
@@tehpanasmanis5662 Sounds about the same tempo wise to me...
His voice sounds stronger that it has in a long while.
They played this in Boston last night and he killed the final "Lie, cheat, & steal, how can I tolerate?" It was very powerful.
@@potsyband Only time I've heard him do the long scream since Lateralus (when he blew his vocals)
I was hoping more people would go nuts when they played this. I know I would. Opiate and Undertow songs are such a treat.
When they did here in nola I lost it when this started
i was going insane in Amsterdam 2019
For real man, I saw them play this year in 2022 and they played ZERO Undertow songs. I was really hoping they'd play something off it
Love how Justin rocks back and forth like he's having a seizure..... That's my boy...
😎
The best bassist in the game.
That's not seizure, that's bass humpin'
They were fucking incredible. Best band I've ever seen live.
I miss it so much man
@@Whitepillednazarene Me too man! Hoping to see them again this year, will probably skip download though.
the fact that they can still do this song is fucking amazing

Same here my man, I flew from the UK to Amsterdam for that gig. Fucking spectacular
There is heavy, there is metal and then there is Tool.. Another Level
So glad they played this, amazing song!

Check out a perfect circle it's maynard's other band
If you don't know maynard is the singer
I already listened them 👍
How do you like the new album? I've been listening to it non stop. I have to force myself to take breaks from them.
top 10 tool song no doubt
What I like most about this video is that you can hear the audience members around the guy filming and they dont sound like shit lol
This song is quarter of a century old and sadly, more than relevant even today... i will not tolerate you!!!
I read you comment and was like, "That can't be ri..... Jesus fuck."
Controversial opinion, tool were better than Slipknot at download, Slipknot were incredible and lived up to their hype but tool blew me away
Hands down. Absolutely heart broken I had to miss slayer to see tool. But seen slayer 5 times and may never see tool again so I had too.
Hows that controversial? Tool is way better than Slipknot its not even close
Thats more of a fact. Slipknot is growing old.
@@manwithtwoeyes6911 Clown must be around the same age as Maynard and he's the oldest Slipknot member lol
People won't remember Slipknot in 50 years. Tool will be brilliant in perpetuity.
Glad they’ve been breaking out this song recently
One of my all time favorite tool 🔧 tracks Lie, Cheat, Steal ,Lie Cheat Still
Holy mother of god!⚡️
Love the Chet Zar visuals. Last time they used those was 2001 for Reflection
voice great that night DAM!!!!
If I seen them play this song live I'd be done for holy shit

Kinda chaps my ass that Maynard is in the dark. Loved watching him feel the music.
Wow. What a moment
old school!!!!!!!!!!
Utterly and truly an epiphany live. Joint best show I have ever seen. Along with gojira headlining bloodstock. Still buzzing from tool tho.🤘🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
Cant believe I missed this.
Thanks earthling76 for the posting of the different songs. Sounds awesome!!! They still beat the crap out of other bands after so many years.
I can't believe that I was there!!! This was a fuckin great surprise!!!
Adams tone is sounding super mean here.
UNdertow is their best by far. Saw them in 1994 on that tour...
such a gloomy groovy song. love it!
FUCK. YES.
Really threw me off guard when they played this in Virginia. Not complaining though
damn that bass is mean
Adam is playing pinch harmonics? That’s so not him.. but it sounds cool
It's vary him lol that was his thing in the early 90s especially
I’m talking about the two sounds he makes in the first few measures of the song. He does it like twice, and he sounds like zak Wylde or something... like it’s just for laughs or whatever.

@@beyer66 many songs in Undertow actually
Bryan Beyer chancellor smashing out the harmonics too throughout
Adam loves his pinch harmonics. They’re one of his staples. Ring them out into feedback, unf.
