Yeah the sun set during this. Just turned in to full night as the kicked off Vicarious toward the end of the set, what an amazing set. We watched it on chairs from the top of the hill, what a fucking great night. Stoned out my loaf watching the pretty lights, a Download ending to remember
I just went to see Tool in Amsterdam in a big ass dome venue - where one would expect the sound to be not very good - . What the actual fuck. It was mindblowing. Best show I have seen in my entire life, ever since I saw Tool for the first time about 15 years back. Fucking epic.
Looking forward to seeing these geniuses in November. Saw them years ago during the Lateralus and 10,000 days tours. So incredibly brilliant. The album is impeccable. Descending is my favorite track. The crown jewel on Fear. Love it.
Please tell me you recorded invincible too. I've been back home, hit the bath high as fuck and watched this back and my heart nearly exploded on that breakdown. Thank you so much. Choose just to soak it up but glad folk like you recorded to share,
After Thanos, Hulk, and Iron man snapped their fingers it tore a hole in our dimension which resulted in energy being created and destroyed in the chaos Tool harnessed the energy to create these two new songs and then the new album
people complaining about changing riffs and lack of lyrics in the later half of the song. jesus its TOOL not nickleback. if you dont know what they're all about by now you never will.
Thank you indeed for sharing this. I was there but because of my shortness I didn't manage to see anything on the stage. At least through this video I finally know how the show looked like!! XD Nevertheless, it was a terrific concert!!
I wouldnt be surprised to hear some lyrics on the later parts on the studio version. They've already said their approach was to release it in stages and that started years ago with bits and pieces of the instrumental. They could be holding off some of the experience for the album.
I don't know where you heard it but I think either you're misremembering or you've been given some dud information buddy. The only times songs have been debuted unfinished is in small instrumental segments like the 4 minute version of this song, one other jam from 2012 that might've been an early version of Fear Inoculum, and a brief early segment of Wings they played before the finale of their 2002 shows. All instrumental, they've never played songs with half-finished vocals or anything
I grew thru my pre and teen years listening to tool and I was fucking in love with their sound. Also remember when Metallica released "load" I was super excited to hear it but when I did I was disappointed. Sounded like they lost their edge. Years later i realized that they sounded different then and even more so now, cuz they arent as pissed off as they used to be. Tool seems to have also followed suit
I've heard that too, can't help but feel a little disappointed in a way, 13 years in the making they could have given the fans a double cd......surely they've got enough material after all this time, or am I just being far too greedy? Don't get me wrong I can't wait for August 30th and to here the 2 new songs plus whatever else is on the cd 😁👍
Warren Bridges I also heard a rumor they re-recorded Opiate with an extended middle section similar to the version they have been playing live as of late, and that there will be an accompanying music video but we will see
I believe it's a Hughes and Ketner roto-sphere. If it's not, that same effect can be accomplished with one. It's an analog modeler, upper $ effect. A mic'd Leslie speaker could also work combined with a phase shifter
I'm genuinely contemplating taking the day off work to listen to this album all day when its out. They fucked up though. Last Monday in August is a bank holiday in the UK, they should have released it on the 23rd and I'd be able to obsess over it for 3 straight days Damn you Maynard with your Sex Pistols trousers and Mohawk :p
dude you should appreciate a drummer who changes his fills in live shows,it means he is creative and fluid and not stiff and schematic.as a drummer i can say all the fills he does are pretty damn cool to me!
yeah man I feel you there. This one certain fill he does when they played at Jacksonville. It was sixteenth kicks and crashes along with sixteenth snare hits.
I feel like the Alabama performance has been the tightest overall, seem to be little mistakes in the others and variances that don't sound quite as good, I'm just wondering what the original song sounds like. Although the drumming at 9:55 does seem to be more in time than before.
Ten Years and this boring shit I'm not gonna sugar coat it cause it's "Tool" Time to buy some Riffs from a Ghost Writer . I hope the rest of the Album isn't this Average . It sounds like recylced bits and pieces from lateralus 😵🤪💩
I bet Tool were thinking Maynard would contribute lyrics to some of the ending sections... feels like they structured the song to have lyrics throughout the end similar to Rosetta Stoned, or Right in two and Maynard just went... Nah... not gonna put em' there. The song is great but does feel missing lyrics at the end.

Conor Same here 👍🇦🇺
It's nearly hear 3 weeks to go 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😉😉
Is it just me, or does this version actually sound way better?...
Since the departure of Neil Peart to the great gig in the sky, Danny Carey must now be considered the best drummer in the world.
Great fucking upload John O. You’re the man. I’ve seen them 15 times over the years and APC 7. Tool is the best band ever.... period. 💪💪
Is it just me, or does the sun set across the whole song? That is soooo Tool!
👍
Looks like the Sun was descending

I bet the bass and drums could be heard MILES away. Hopefully 1 day I will see these Masters of Music!
I think this is the best recording of Descending out there. I was there to see this live and Its changed the way I see gigs. Astonishing.
I love how Maynard leaves for the rest of the song at 5:33. «I’ve done my part, bye»
But for real, they sound amazing this tour

Keoma Zec that’s awesome. Hope to see them someday
I was there, what an experience it was. Looking forward to the announcement of future tour dates when the new album drops.
@Spooky gnu fingers crossed they should be!
I can't wait to hear the studio version! Especially @4:35 the way MJK brings the urgency with "sound the dread alarm" omfg!!
4:03 justin is the ultimate band mate. Seen a few videos of this great song now where he helps adam get the timing of the riff. Legend

Best concert of my life and I've seen alot of bands 😍
There is nothing like a Tool show. Nothing.

When does TOOL get the credit they've EARNED! they changed my life, open my 3rd eye and made me a person!
Did the same for me
Hahahhahhahhaahahh
And me
The title Descending appears for me the best of the two new songs. Quintessence of tool's experience.
Justin using a Musicman? He's not done that since the early days!
Peter Fleming It seems to be a Musicman Stingray HH....
@@juanantoniogonzalez4354 it does. Strange to see him using anything other than the Wal.
He talked about this in and interview
When this came on, I got goosebumps
After Thanos, Hulk, and Iron man snapped their fingers it tore a hole in our dimension which resulted in energy being created and destroyed in the chaos Tool harnessed the energy to create these two new songs and then the new album

vabbe You are most welcome! I was definitely one of the lucky ones to get that spot. So happy to see the appreciation for filming something.
I know nothing about tool first time love this shit dam good!!!!!!!
5:30 makes the 13 year wait worth it all :) Danny couldn't do bad drumming if he truly tried.

Absolutely brilliant

Lol I want more new songs! They only play two which are great. but I need more nothing seems to satisfy
I don't want it, I just need it?
Amazing
It's almost funny that they think Maynard needs bodyguards...
Ever heard of a guy named dimebag darrell? Yeah, he probably didn't think he needed bodyguards either.
Why di you think he's always at the back of the stage near the drums. If he gets jumped, he's gonna throw the attacker into the security.
5:33 Just noticed the lights kind of form an upside down pentagram. Neat
13년을 기다렸다.!!!!!!!
I’ve heard the album will be 7 full tracks (along with some interludes) and the shortest being 11 min long

@@wozbop They do have more material. They've mentioned an album after Fear Inoculum...wishful thinking!
Could anyone tell me the vocal effect at 0:48s ?
Seems to be a Leslie speaker / tremelo type effect.
I believe it's a Hughes and Ketner roto-sphere. If it's not, that same effect can be accomplished with one. It's an analog modeler, upper $ effect. A mic'd Leslie speaker could also work combined with a phase shifter

I wish Danny would stop changing his fills out the the chorus' and I hope the way he originally played them this year is what was recorded.

Danny carey Rocks!!!!
I wanted to see tool, but had to see Slayer due to the final UK show, whoever scheduled tool and slayer together needs a headcheck
their set was incredible! shame stinkfist wasn't extended at the end though
I don’t really care for stinkfist but the extended version I think is much better for sure

What bass is that Justin's playing...doesn't look like a Wal Bass like what he's always used...
Musicman Stingray. It's the only song in the current set that he doesn't use the Wal
4:30 DC's rules !!!
I feel safe in this comment section lol!

10.12 what ungodly creature did they just summon?!?!
The Distorted Bass. A formidable beast, to be sure, but it's not as alien as it might seem at first glance.
btw who down votes TOOL puttin out new stuff?
Kyber tools lol
Snowflakes
Giant pyramid, Illuminati confirmed?
There will be better on their NEXT release.
This sounds like what you'd use at soundcheck...
Yeah, I'm not feeling it at all and I'm a huge fan
After Iron man Thanos, Hulk, and Iron man snapped their fingers it tore a hole in our dimension which resulted in energy being created and destroyed in the chaos Tool harnessed the energy to create these two new songs and then the new album
This song is good but it needs more Lyrics thrown into it. Tool is best when All 4 members are involved
This song is perfect.
Wrong!
NooDLES411911 Definitely your opinion only.
Disposition is one of my favourite Tool songs and that has next to no lyrics
This doesn't sound like tool anymore. Sorry to say
They're in their 50s, people evolve, I love all their albums and this sounds amazing.
