So cool how Justin puts a hand on Adam when he walks over to him in the intro. Two gifted musicians having a great time performing with each other. Blatantly have so much respect for each other. So awesome to see!
Look at how seldom they release new albums. Look at how seldom they tour now. They have to realize how special every performance is, not just for the fans, but for themselves as well.
The buzz for them was off the scale at the festival. And they were really being shown the love from the audience so I think it made em realise how much they have been missed.
Everyone at the front (aside from some tag alongs who'd never heard a song) was so happy to finally see them. 1 year,5 years,10 Everyone had waited a long time to see them.

I have just seen Tool live once, but i did notice that they communicate a lot while they play. I think they really enjoy playing together. I don't know, that what I perceived. By the way, that concert, here in Mexico (tajin), was the best concert of my life.
They always interact a lot in this song and its my favourite part of the show. Seeing Adam express something on stage besides his guitar is so cool for some reason
Ive been playing guitar for about 20 years now and I still can’t get Adam’s technique on the main riff right. His tone is phenomenal, the way he makes those notes sound out is incredible.
There is a great RUclips vid on this. Like a double pull down hammer off thing. Pretty genius technique. Didn’t take long to get a good feel for it. His tone is something else.
Yeah I know, Ben Eller and Axeofcreation did some in depth videos on this. My problem isn’t so much the technique, it’s the tone and the crunch of making the A string ring out the way he does. Even though my technique is similar, the notes are mudded out. His tone, I agree, is something else ;)
@@dead_end_king The only way to get his tone is to buy a Diezel VH4 and a 79 Silverburst Les Paul and lots of pedals. I have all of these including other Gibsons customs and vintage I collect. I was too searching for many tones over the last 20 years. Finally, I got the hang of it. Adam's tone is out of the world. Saw them in Chicago just a few weeks before this show. One of the best shows I've ever seen. They were just starting to roll out songs from Fear Inoculum - it was bone crushingly beautiful.
Listening to an hour & half interview with Adam last night he tells the story how Jambi was created. It's a fantastic interview for any tool fan, he's just one of those people you can't help thinking what a great person he is, he's selfless always putting others 1st. He explains how the Tool members are like part of a successful marriage. They share everything equally no matter what the contribution on any individual piece. They don't try & change anyone to their way of the thinking. They allow each other to express themselves but it's to benefit the song the aim of the goal. So sometimes they might individually not agree with a part but if it makes the song sound right they go with it. The diplomacy within the band is outstanding. He said every single one of their peers have split up through the distribution of money. Where they haven't had a single argument about money as everything is equally shared. No matter the contribution.
Adam Garner 100% The price of the day ticket was worth every single penny for that set. Still coming down from it. Fingers firmly crossed we see them return to tour the new album next year.
Adam Garner God yeah. At some points Danny’s double bass hits almost had me breathless. We were about 10yds from the front and the sound was better than what most bands get on CD.
@@sfusiondj Same but it fuckin rocked. I still haven't figured out how to do that shit on purpose xD I always get it by accident when I'm trying some new riff

They have a huge catalog of fan favourites when you think about it. To be able to miss lateralus, ticks and leeches and sober and still fill out a headline set is impressive
