I saw them in July 98 and he was front and center..he doesn't want everyone staring at him when their music, lighting, and 3D stage show is first and foremost. The singer always attracts the most attention..
Yeah they were coheadline with Devo in 97. Funny show. Devo played Whip it for their 3rd song. Most left after that. Drunk people screaming for them to play whip it again. Lol. I was just wishing they would put Tool back out there.
They looked like they really enjoyed themselves at this performance man, they hung around for a solid 5 minutes at the end waving and throwing stuff into the crowd with huge smiles on their faces. At one point I saw a little girl about 4 years old who’s either Danny’s family or a friends kid and he let her come out during one of the songs from the side of the stage and play drums next to him with these headphones on, really cool and humble guy. Such a sick set

I must have been 30 feet from this camera guy. The crowd energy was unbelievable, we were all singing until the end of the concert. The visuals were stunning. It was the most amazing experience of my life. the guy next to me thought they would open with third eye but I knew the heartbeat was a trick. He said he hoped they would play Jambi and when they did he completely lost his s***. They also used negative ions to open stinkfist which fitted with the visuals. What an awesome way to close the show. Such a professional band, they just turned up, wasted no time and just played.
I was at their concert in Kraków and man it was so surreal when while crowd were singing with them for almost full duration. I personally lost my voice at vicarious. Never have I ever had experience even remotely close to that
Mossimo Tiberi dude I 100% get you cause I was the same, I was half hour late to tools performance at download cause I never really gave em a listen before but thought screw it it’s the last show of the weekend and it ended up being the best live performance I’ve ever experienced They went from being a band that I knew almost nothing about to being one of my favourites of all time just from seeing em live once, give em a listen dude trust me when I say you won’t regret it a single bit
Seeing him live you finally see what he means about making the lyrics as another instrument. He sounds exactly as his recording studio albums do. Dude is a fucking legend!

I saw Tool in Firenze a couple of days prior to this show, and the whole fucking crowd went mad when Aenema started playing....watching this now literally gives me shivers so you can imagine how it felt live (great shot btw)...and it was my first Tool show...and I was with my brother who introduced me to them years ago....this fucking band man
well last time u saw them was ozzfest 2000 uk Donnington. was 15 am now 33 with a newborn. am envy so much.hope to see them again.they so fucking good.👍👍

I flew from Dublin on Sunday morning at 8 am to East Midlands.. no sleep.. no booze.. endured hours of rain and shite music (early Sunday).. all for the love of Tool, it was worth every second! Mind blowing show and performance! That was my 5th time seeing them and I think that might have been the best, sound-wise.. the sound was so f*ckin good.. I loved the stereo fx on the vocals, very trippy! Amazing how they can pull off such a massive sound from drums, bass and one guitar live!

Sunday was the best gig I've witnessed in person by far. Those fucking visuals were so on point!!!! I really hope that Download Upload some proper footage of the weekends shenanigans. Especially TOOL!!!! & Pumpkins!!! But mostly TOOL. Need to hear decent quality and see those visuals again!!!!

@@bradx9275 They were headlining, just in the UK for outdoor gigs curfew is supposed to be at 11 and it's summer solstice so the sun sets at around the time they came on but you still get residual light as it refracts through the earth's atmosphere. It went fully dark about 25 minutes after they started.
This made me not miss concerts after the pandemic. The crowd wanting to be heard more than wanting to listen makes me want to run and burn it all down.
