I didn’t even think to list Fort Bragg on my dream sheet. Sure enough, 5 weeks into AIT and I get orders going to Bragg. My first time there was amazing, and my second time here is great!
I went to basic during 77 they give me Korea or Germany and they send me to Germany. And that was it

When I was in the Air Force, Kunsan was a blast!!
I had a two year enlistment. My first (and only) duty station was the furthest thing from my mind while I was in AIT. About one week before AIT was completed, they told the majority of us (63T) that we were going to Fort Carson.

I’m enlisted as a 68F. Still in Basic and will be going to AIT early March. I’m really hoping to get a duty station over seas such as:
Italy
Germany
Belgium (SHAPE)
Japan
Korea
Or state side would be:
Hawaii
Colorado (Ft. Carson)
Texas (Ft. Hood)
New York (Ft. Drum)
Washington (Ft. Lewis)
I’m assuming being in the medical field opens up my options a lot, but these are the places I would love to go to!

I’m guessing you already have to know the station/base names if you’re choosing states, like for me I’m from Arizona I’m assuming I have to choose bases in Arizona they won’t give me a option list?

Do you have anything about swapping duty stations with a battle buddy I'm currently in AIT just received my orders. Is it hard to do? Does it come at any cost? The odds of it getting submitted?

I’m going active as prior service I have a special needs child and would like to be in a base that provide services for my son do I have a choice in that case ?

If I went with an Option 4 (Airborne) contract, what are the chances they would station me at Fort Bragg instead of Alaska or Italy?

Right now they are changing alot of guys OCUNS (over seas Alaska, Hawaii, Italy etc) to state side bases due to covid-19 sooooo it may work out in your favor due to travel complications now buttttt might as well flip a coin lol
