Thays attitude is mine and what everyone should strive for. When everyone else is complaining about standing in formation for to long. Just go with it. When timelines move up randomly, instead of cursing out everything and being that person, just roll with it. No one wants to be around that kind of negativity, except negative people. You'll see it. The groups form of negativity, and groups of generally positive people.
I unfortunately got option 3 without knowing it, i ship out for basic on the 26th and will be at fort sam for 68A AIT, hoping i can get one of my wishlist duty stations in germany, Hawaii, or Colorado, but im pretty sure that will be the wishlist for everyone lol
my wishlist had colorado which i got, but in bct/osut they usually give you orders from a massive order sheet where they cut it and divide it out to troops
The Corps literally gives you your unit and check in time. I went to my unit before I went to receiving and got told “we don’t know you, disappear” 36 hours later they were calling asking why I’m not there checking in 😂
I honestly have to say i liked Hood, maybe it's different if you go there as a spouse.... We were stationed at Ft.Polk, and there was nothing there, so any chance we got, we drove down to Hood which was only a 4.5h drive, to visit friends there and go party in Killeen, and Coperas Cove
Just finished infantry osut I just graduated Friday Nov 17, 2023 I’m back home for Hrap (Hometown recruiting) for 2 weeks and I report too my first duty station on Dec 1, 2023 I’m going to Fort Cavazos and 3CR is the unit I’m going to as well.
Oh dude you were at fort bliss me too but I was there from 1999 to 2002 when I got out. My unit isn’t even there anymore. The entire unit got moved to South Korea. I was there back when it was the air defense center and all patriot missile units were located there now I heard it’s like an armored division is there and it’s way different and it’s like doubled in size. And who is this blonde girl? we didn’t have girls like that in the army when I was there.
If you get lucky, you get Germany, Ft. Lewis;WA or Ft. Carson,CO or you get the worst duty station ever...... Ft. Polk,LA or Ft.Sill,OK or Ft. Lost in the Woods.
@__-ux2qw reception is f easy you will chill most of the time just bring something so you dont get bored if you have a car better you can go out to more places. Tomorrow will be my first day w my unit, so yeah, wish me luck.

Definitely Ft. Lewis again, Ft. Carson, San Antonio, and definitely Germany any day....
Ft Sam Houston. Or Colorado. Close enough to family but out of my home state.
