It's kinda her fault but also not? Of course I dont know the whole story. But if what they were saying about the girls anxiety is true then it isnt 100% her fault, yes. She is definitely at least 85% to blame for not taking charge sooner and disciplining the dog (and smiling when Charlie attacke people) but her anxiety kinda influenced the dog as well without her meaning to if that makes sense? The dog can sense that the woman is nervous and therefore gets protective. The dog only sees "my human is afraid of these people, they are a threat." And then when she gets more nervous it just doubles that feeling.
@@hollowrose I'm not so sure that's the case. The woman might have an anxiety disorder, but unless she's directing nervous behaviour at her family members, there's no reason the dog would associate them with her distress. My guess would be the dog perceived his lady owner as "his" and is resource-guarding her like he would with food or toys.
@@isamarks7773 maybe, I'm pretty sure it's different everytime though. ALL dogs should be trained. If my dog a rottweiler had been taught everyone around me is a threat, he would’ve been put down, because a rottweiler has one of the strongest bites. Smaller dogs may do less damage, but the behavior of all dogs is the same

It bothers me that the lady smiles the entire time even though it’s a serious issue. An issue I have with the way she holds her dog is how she raises him to eye level. She needs to lower him, hip height, so that way when anyone gets closer to her, they’re not at eye level with the dog. That way Charlie doesn’t see others approaching as a challenge.
I kind of feel sorry for Charlie. He's clearly a clever dog. You can see the wheels turning in his head. He doesn't speak 'human' so he doesn't know what his owner wants.

People see these dogs and see a cute little dog that is perfect for holding all day and treating as a substitute for whatever issue they have in their lives, kids too old to cuddle all day, no kids, etc. what these people don't seem to be able to get into their tiny minds is a Yorkie is a hunting dog. They flush out small prey and they can and are well able to be damn vicious. I loved my Yorkies, but being yappy assholes is very easy to them. Small dogs are so much more aggressive because they are not trained by their owners as much as large breed owners who accept the damage their dog can do. I feel so sorry for those kids that their mother spent so long ignoring them for the dog. (and yes, going to your room for a dog is ignoring your kids)
Yorkies are not bred to be lap dogs like,u said i have 4 they are full of energy and personality and good when trained , they have a stubborn streak too , i dont even carry mine around i pick them up when need be but they r ruff tuff dogs that love to run and dig and be dogs
the fact that she didnt mention that she was happy about charlie being nice to oliver AT ALL was so annoying. its all im so happy oliver was finally nice to charlie when the dog bit him every time he approached with no reason
They are and mainly it’s due to a lack of training but they are also most likely to bite when they get nervous. I work in a kennels and I’ve only ever been bitten by small dogs and honestly most of the time it’s due to irresponsible owners thinking that they can just treat their dogs like they’re small fragile babies and it honestly annoys me so much.
I agree, but the reason why is a lot more complex than people think. Everyone will talk about training and babying, but humans and dogs alike are a combination of nature/nurture. The fact is, people do not consider small dogs' mentality before breeding. Whether they're planned mixes or purebreds, it's something you see all the time. Meanwhile, you do not breed the anxious Labrador who bit you, or the Rottweiler that lunges at your friends when they visit. Chances are, those animals will either be put down, or their owners struggle to keep them contained. With little dogs, people just laugh and say it's a big dog in a small body, or claim that the fear aggression is dominance. We all see the huge differences in behavior based on breed, but people seem to have trouble with the fact that genes have a huge impact on how a dog turns out mentally. Some are pre-disposed to be fearful, and there has to be more focus on that if we want change.
I think a lot of people think this lady is "Happy" her dog is doing this but I think she is anxiety-ridden and her face is just a BIG smile due to anxiety. I know this smile it's what cameras do to me, I freeze up and don't really feel human. All the same, excellent work again

Victoria: Excuse me can u take. Then owner: Like every owner, she says she wont , victoria : she will ,she will bite , finally owner taken the dog.
She also said it wasn't fair for the kids
Big Dogs:I'm kinda shy stay away
Little Dogs:I'm The Crap YEAAAAAHH
Analuz Chino my dogs and kids are equal i dont see how someone can put one family member below another all my pets are trained and my kids 😂
Lol
This woman has taught her dog that everyone around her is a threat...
I have anxiety disorder and I used to have a dog that would attempt to 'attack' (lunging and growling, he never really bit) anyone that came too close when I got to anxious about something. Otherwise he was an absolute sweetheart. Some dogs just have that instinct to protect - I guess for a lack of better words.- Their pack.
ALL dogs should be trained. If my dog a rottweiler had been taught everyone around me is a threat, he would’ve been put down, because a rottweiler has one of the strongest bites. Smaller dogs may do less damage, but the behavior of all dogs is the same
Ramdom Giltter no she didn’t the dog thinks he’s the leader so will be protective of the woman 😂
Tbh that woman looked really sad even when she was smiling. I hope she's alright, she seemed weirdly detached
Look, small dogs are treated wayy to much like human baby's and that is NOT OK! It's horrible and it's amazing how Victoria can help families like these!
Thank you Victoria! I'm glad that you can help these families AND their dogs! It's great!
I love the end of the shows when the dogs behavior is so much better and the families are happy again!
“Charlie bit my finger” 😶😂

Ouch charlie! Ouuuuuuccchhhhh!!!
Was looking for these comments lol
1:04 Oh, I like how the husband already gets that the dog is affected by his wife's anxiety, haha.
3:44 I hate people that when their loved ones almost get bitten are all smiling and laughing, it just seems so sadistic and creepy. And it's teaching your dog that yes, that behavior gets a chuckle out of me, KEEP DOING IT.
Diamond1234 exactly. It is sadistic! I mean who laughs when you get bitten by a dog?!
My neighbor has a pitbull and I have a shih Tzu. Her pitbull has tried to attack my dog and has bitten me and she just smiled and laughed saying that her dog is trying to get to know my dog and me 🤦🏻♀️
@Galaxy Cat3030 Aw, sounds like your dog is contrite about biting people all on his own. Good boy. :D
(And it's good that he only attacks people that are actually trying to hurt you. How is he with people that touch you or come near you?)
@@selenam5829 wow that freaking sucks! Definitely not ok for you or your neighbor😵
Esther Kim it isn’t. She stopped coming near my house after I called the cops explained that she’s intentionally trying to put me and my dog in danger after she told me if I didn’t like that her dog isn’t fully trained then I shouldn’t bring my dog out when she’s out.
I feel like they need to rename the show....
It’s Me NOT the dog
It fits perfectly don’t you think?
Totally agree :)
Yep you got my vote
Not a terribly original comment...
It’s more fitting, definitely
It’s saying it’s me or the dogs fault so... ur saying it’s my fault

These people treat the dog as a baby and treat their children as dogs.

It is so hard to re-home them, especially once they are 40 or 50.
😂🤣
Lmao
I agree and they have established awful bad habits. Especially the wife
Omg people no one is perfect they asked for help from Victoria for a reason 🙄
Victoria saying "Cujo Mode" at 9:08 freaking kills me LMAO
“This is the time I leave cause this is unfair to Charlie”
What’s unfair?A family wanting to spend time together and pet their other dog?smh
YES another video. I love your stuff Victoria, and if I had a problem dog I would definitely go to you. (I have two Shih tzus, but they’re quite well behaved)
I also have a shih tzu that is also well behaved
You know this show ended in 2008.right?
I also have a shi tzu who is quiet the opposite of well-behaved.
i have shihtzu but it is mixed with maltese he can't bark tho idl why

Anyone else just randomly start binging this show without even knowing it?
Yep
Definitely
Oliver is a saint, honestly! He was so patient being snapped at over and over during training, and he still kept at it. You can tell when they were doing the toy training that he wants to connect with Charlie.

He just a kid bruh

Discovered this series in the nick of time! My rescue beagle has always been very submissive and well behaved but recently we've had a lot if changes and her behaviour started getting a bit unruly. Finding this series has helped me correct the problems quickly and properly before they got out of hand. Thank you so much for this educational content!
beagles can be a bit of a handful, especially as their noses and willpower are so strong. I love my parents' beagle but man, she's Trouble with a capital T
@@Romanticoutlaw I find they're a lot more obediant if they know it'll get them food. The nose can cause problems but ironically it can also be the solution.
This woman prefers her dog over her own husband and children. Shameful.
Wonder why she even got married and had children in the first place?🤔
A Nameless Being 💰
@@eduardoantunez9694 Ohhh, that makes perfect sense!
She owns a dog and if she's facing problems with that dog she can't just leave it. If u got a problem will u sort it out or just dump it ? And that would be something shameful! She knows she's facing problem not having the family time. She approached Victoria to help her out and if she loves her dog it's ok... she loves it!

She deadass called the dog "the rat" 😭💀
Her: if this doesn’t work I don’t know what I’ll do.. I don’t want to get rid of charlie

0:13 "Charlie is extremely aggressive. Shut up Charlie!"
Edit: after watching, he's actually doing so much work with Charlie, listening intently to Victoria, and really putting himself forward. Super impressed and a bit surprised!
So true
AM GONNA GET A YORKIE DOG SO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO
Victoria does NOT LOOK 50. She looks so young I honestly thought she was in mid 20’s 😱
//LostProxy Nevermore/ / eh id say like late 20s mid 30s
This was also filmed over 10 years ago though.
She looks her age. It’s just her hair and her weight that gives the impression she is young. Kids are just bad at determine someone’s age 😂

Natalie O'Brien-Hughes we saved my Yorkie but she only lays on me and lays near me but she lets other people pet her
Yorkies are not bred to be lap dogs like,u said i have 4 they are full of energy and personality and good when trained , they have a stubborn streak too , i dont even carry mine around i pick them up when need be but they r ruff tuff dogs that love to run and dig and be dogs
the fact that she didnt mention that she was happy about charlie being nice to oliver AT ALL was so annoying. its all im so happy oliver was finally nice to charlie when the dog bit him every time he approached with no reason

I don't owe a dog but I think small dogs are far more aggressive than large dogs
Aditi Mukhopadhyay facts. It’s because they’re spoiled more than large dogs. People think they’re “cute” so they’re allowed to act how they want.
Not all small dogs are aggressive. I have a small dog and he's all bark and no bite.
I have a yorkie and I would not agree with that because it depends on how you train them
I agree, but the reason why is a lot more complex than people think.
Ok but lets talk about her lipgloss.. WHAT IS THAT!?
