I think they are shipping them overseas or parting them out and the reason i think this is last year in 2021, A buddy of mine that i rides UTVs with had his UTV stolen from his property in the middle of the night, but what they didn't know is he had the apple airtag on his UTV as a poor mans GPS, well when the cops went to the location it stated it was last seen, there was shipping containers at the location full of UTVs, Dirt Bikes, and Motorcycles. The Officer informed us there was more than 400+ vehicles in those shipping containers that were stolen all in the last 3 days prior to this day.
I had never known anyone to leave keys inside the door until I read articles a few years back where thieves would break in the front door and grab keys.
This is like a years and years old method. It has been done for such a long time. Basically since the inception of the wireless signals like this and them becoming huge. They used to do it just for unlocking them and progressed to starting them too. They do something entirely different than this now. They can take a car without the key being there or having ever seen the key at all. Takes a few minutes but that is what they do now.
This also known as "Relay attack". The bandits using the devices can boost the signal from key fobs inside the house or building and it fools the car thinks there's a key inside the car to start without an actual keys. It does applied any cars with keyless system.
This has been happening for awhile. Actually the first time I heard about it was with a Jeep, but any car is vulnerable. You can track your Tesla via your phone to recover it.
Distracted by poor quality flickering on bottom left 1/4 on screen Did you figure out what is causing your anomaly? How can I prevent my F-150 from being stolen AGAIN!!!
They're shipping them overseas! We keep our keys in a copper box upstairs away from vehicles! Plus cameras and sensor lights! We leave a big dog chain hooked up on front veranda! Stay safe
There’s so much that you don’t know about this issue, but that didn’t keep you from firing up a camera & yap, yap, yapping about what you couldn’t be bothering w/ looking into first. Kinda makes you think about all the production staffing & research goin’ on behind more competent talking heads.
Huh, and here I assumed that each handshake between the fob and the car had a unique identifier so you couldn't just copy the fob's signal. YUUUGE oversight by keyless entry engineers, IMO.
My keyfob is in 3-layers of aluminum foil. They can try but they will FAIL. Aluminum foil is so thin you won't even notice it. You can test this yourself. Lock your car, wrap the keyfob in aluminum foil and go up to the car and you'll see it won't unlock unless you unwrap the keyfop. Always have some aluminum foil with you at all times. It does wonders.

Glad my F150 still needs a key. And I leave my keys in my bedroom
A friend of mine had his Tesla stolen a week ago with his keys inside his house. They just drove it around until it died in a McDonald’s parking lot

Does disconnecting the vehicle battery help?
Only some vehicles
@@angelberrios7843 I knew a guy that used to remove his car battery every night to prevent theft is why I asked. He had a POS Toyota that he loved.
Interesting Larry. Great information. If it can be hacked, someone will come up with a hack, sadly.
Well that would explain why I see so many teenagers driving around $90,000 Ford f-250s
I put my key to my BMW inside of a faraday box keychain. It works great.
IGLA is the way to go.Just had it installed it is the way to go!

How do they avoid the tracking app?
My platinum honks if there's no key detected then just look on Phone where it's at
The thieves part out the vehicle parts. Think about it they pull the parts off and sell them on Craigslist or other online marketplaces.
Best way is the new Igla anti theft device, no more need to worry!
Do apple airtags work with an android phone?
Just before you cut from outside back into your “studio” you should’ve been like, “Back to you, Larry.”
Lol! I did feel like I was a field reporter for a tiny bit there hahahaha
My 2021 mustang they tried steal w device maybe key was too far way or maybe cuz is a 2021 idk camaro was stolen same area same night
Thanks Larry now I have something else to worry about and I don’t have my Lightning ⚡️ yet 🤣
So basically I don’t know why your targeting the f150, because literally many other manufacturers face this same problem

This dealership called me back for Ford Maverick lariat (25,000) and they are selling it for 50k
That's DOUBLE MSRP IM SICK TO MY STOMACH
It can be driven upto one block from your house, then it gets towed, goes inside a container with other stolen cars, Straight to South America
Wow! Crazy!
Another reason why I dislike push-button start. 😖

Your stolen car will wind up being driven by the mayor of a town on another continent

This has been a thing for a while. Check out this Ring Video of how it is done to a Tesla back in 2019 ruclips.net/video/hj3ZRv9cMBw/видео.html
