Wish mine worked that well. I’m on 2 different inhalers, but it doesn’t matter cause I actually have MCAS so inhalers do nothing for me! 😑😔 Pulmonologist wanted me to go on an injectable medication for Eosinophilic Asthma. Why? When because I have MCAS it will only treat 1 symptom and not all the other ones that plague me every. Single. Day. 😭
Those who has asthma I recommend to take high dose of vitamin D3 about 20,000 IU along with complex of magnesium to activate vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 complex to absorb everything. Good luck on your journey! It should help you to forget about your asthma and live regular life again. 👍 This sprays are only temporary symptoms relief and nothing more than that. 🤔
Im not a huge supplement fan for most people, but agree vitamin d and magnesium are great options for many reasons. The ‘reliever’ inhalers only give temporary relief (but can be life-saving’, whereas the ‘preventers’ are important for keeping asthma under control.
Hi! I’m a doctor 👩🏻⚕️☺️. Evidence shows that for most adults who are using inhalers correctly, there is no benefit to a spacer. Let’s save the environment and reduce plastic waste!
Hi, I just got an inhaler today, I am using Breztri, I tried to do what it says in your video but I have an aftertaste and a little numbness on my cheeks. I did rinse with water and brushed my teeth. I’m scared of thrush. What am I doing wrong? Also, how soon after using inhaler can you eat?

@@DrSophieGP no, it's an entirely reasonable comparison. Spacers for inhalers, dietary fiber, and seatbelts in cars all have benefits but rarely save your life.
@@diablominero Most adults will get exactly the same benefit from using an inhaler correctly without a spacer. You do not get the same benefits from using or not using a seatbelt, or eating or not eating fibre, hence, false equivalence.
Asthma symptoms appear gradually and include wheeze, tight chest and a cough. Get checked out if you’re not sure. Viral coughs come on quickly and can have similar symptoms, but settle again.
It been a week since i got my inhaler do you hv any tips how to lower it Im very scared bc i mostly get attacks in night during sleeping What should i do?
You need to get advice from a healthcare professional. It’s vital you get the right treatment to control your asthma and you should have a plan so you know how to manage it.
Evidence shows that most adults do not benefit from the use of a spacer as long as they using their inhaler correctly! It is just a huge waste of plastic for most of the time.
My question is, you prime it when it's new, I was recently told by a nurse that if I don't use it for about four or five days (Ventolin) to prime it as if it was new. She said that I was probably only getting propellant and not medication which is why I felt it was doing nothing. I know with COPD the effect isn't instantaneous like with asthma and I have a spacer to help with delivery, I also know to shake it. So true or false?
I just got mine and thanks you This is a life saver!
🙌🏻
Can I ask?if I will buy that...do it needs doc prescription?@@DrSophieGP
If you can breathe now, you did it right.
The doctor prescribed me today this inhaler . Thanks for the tutorial 🙂

Thank you, had to do it first time today. Really helped 😊
Great!
thank u so much 👍
As I depress my inhaler, I breathe in as far as I can. I count to 10, and I try to breathe in just a little bit more and then I exhale.
Sounds good
Keep up the great work, Dr Sophie ❤

I used a inhaler when I couldn’t breathe
Ty
Thank you so much. Asthma sucks😢
Yes, it really does!
Thank you for this! I was just prescribed an Inhaler to use and this demo helped! How often does it need to be primed?
Great! If you’re using it daily it won’t need to be primed, but worth it if it’s new, or you’ve not used it for quite a few days.
Thank you!!
I really have to thqnk you❤❤❤
You’re most welcome! 🙏🏼
Mine says shake it for 5 minutes. Sure, I already can’t breathe from a life threatening condition. What are the manufacturers thinking???
🤦🏻♀️
Thanks!
No problem!
Doc..pliz suggest me best inhaler medicine for bronchial asthama..My age is 33....
Lots of good options, but not the same for everyone, so please get an asthma review from a healthcare professional

Hello doc. What best inhaler use to my daughter is 12 years old?
There are lots of variations, so speak to your health care provider to find out what is most suitable.
U are so pretty
I'm 26yrs old asthma patient i started working out but could not run more than five minutes...what to do?
You need to consult your healthcare team for an asthma review.

It might just take a bit of getting used to, some inhalers can leave a taste or residue. You can eat straight away.
And I still don’t know how to use it 😂😂
What are you struggling with?

Hey, do you wash your mouth out after so you don’t get those white things on your tounge?
If you’re using a steroid inhaler, rinsing your mouth with water and spit it out afterwards can help prevent oral thrush.
@@DrSophieGP thanks! 😊
Great
Can it use when ur just coughing to loosen or just when asthma attack
Different inhalers have different uses, so check with your healthcare professional when you should be using yours
They work better with a plastic spacer.
Most adults can manage without, which helps saves the planet by reducing plastic use 👍🏻
@@DrSophieGP I can also manage without a seatbelt, and without dietary fiber. What you can manage isn't necessarily a good idea.

I know it looks childish, but get a spacer! Much better at getting more of the medicine into the lungs

What if I don't have it?
Have what?
Hi. Do i swallow it after inhaling? Or i need to breathe it out? When can i swallow? Please help me.
Try not to focus on swallowing, but rather counting to hold your breath, then as soon as the time is up, you can swallow then.

@@DrSophieGP hi, thanks, im feeling better. VERY shaken up thougj
Will this increase my running stamina 😅
Getting good control of asthma certainly will!
Im def not wasting any pumps, even to test it! We *squirt squirt* breathe in & hope for the best 😂😂 I can’t afford the luxury of a test sprays!
It’s mostly just to prime a new inhaler or if you’ve not used it for a while, otherwise you may not get the right amount of medication.
Lol
And at last drink Some water
Yes, some people like to wash their mouth out with water, but you have a reduced risk of oral thrush if using it correctly
After the 2nd step its basicaly just like hittin a bong…
Bro😭
Which is definitely not as helpful for your asthma!
But how does it actually help breathing, what does the medicine do to the lungs?
That’s a totally different video! It depends what is in the inhaler, but often opens up the airways for those with asthma or COPD.
